Preface

Unicorns have been able to harness the power that is dormant everywhere in the universe by tapping into their alicorns since the dawn of time through instinct alone, but it was not until Aricoltle proposed the study of Magic itself before we used spells more complex than levitation.

This book is the cumulation of years and years of research, and it is the efforts of thousands of unicorns that our dear fillies and colts are able to advance at such rapid rates, casting spells that were never possible just a few centuries ago.

Ever since the Magical Revolution, it was necessary for us to reinvent how we thought Magic works, and break apart its fundamental pieces. And after the Quantum Revolution, we had to do that again, learning more about Magic, but now more complex than ever. In this book I try to start from the tangible roots of basic levitation, before breaking it down into the very basics of Quantum Magic, then build my way back up to what we’ve learnt about basic levitation albeit with a fresh perspective of Magic.

Since the return of Princess Luna and her release from Nightmare Moon’s spirit in 1 A.L., magic around the world has changed slightly. I have made sure to prevent any inaccuracies through personal research.

I would like to thank Pinkie Pie personally for giving me the idea of writing this book. If it wasn’t for that adorable mare, I would never have noticed the effects of Princess Luna’s return on the essence of Magic. Thank you for advancing Magic in a way I would never have thought an Earth Pony would ever be able to do.
