Christmas Time in Germany
I woke up to see a thick blanket of snow covering the Crystal Empire, I smiled remembering the days when I foalsat Twilight, to think that was when she was filly, we would have furious snowball fights, build snowponies, and when came inside we would enjoy some hot chocolate and cookies by the fireplace, and now she is Equestria’s new princess, I walked over to the mirror to brush my mane, “Excuse me honey,” I hear a voice call as I was brushing my mane. I turned around to see my husband, Shining Armor standing in the doorway, I notice him holding a piece of parchment in his magical grip.
“What is it Shining Armor?” I asked warmly,
“It’s a letter from Princess Celestia, she needs to speak with you,”
The letter read
“ DEAR PRINCESS CADENCE”
“I must inform you about a special task I have for you, and I think you will enjoy it. I had recently visited another world called Earth and on Earth there is a holiday similar to Hearth’s Warming Eve, they call it Christmas and it is celebrated in honor of a man named Jesus Christ who was said to be born on the 25th of December. I will explain the rest when I arrive. I also need you to go to this address

Huh? Another world called Earth? Christmas? A man named Jesus Christ? Stafford VA? Potomac Hills Dr? I had many questions running through my mind so I nodded and said “I will be right down,” I finished brushing my mane, walked out the door and trotted downstairs. I see my Aunt Celestia standing in the main room with her saddlebags along with Princess Luna and Princess Twilight Sparkle.
“Good morning Cadence!” Twilight exclaimed.
“Hi Twilight!” I said happily.
We then did our usual chant that we created when she was a filly.
“Sunshine, sunshine, ladybug’s awake, clap your hooves and do a little shake!” we giggled like a mad. After we finished our greeting I turned to my aunt.
“Hello my dear niece,” Princess Celestia said warmly, her voice was very soothing and motherly,
“Hello Cadence,” Luna said happily.
“Hi girls!” I said “what brings you to the Crystal Empire?” I asked curious.
“I have a special mission for you my niece,” she said.
“Ah, the letter,” I said, Celestia nodded,
“you must be wondering why I asked you to go?” she said, more of a statement then a question.
I nodded.
“I met up a seventeen year old colt who showed me this when I went over.”
I looked at the piece of paper that Celestia showed me. My jaw dropped to the ground, for on it was Twilight Sparkle as a unicorn standing next to a globe, below was a series of abbreviations which I guessed were months and a series of numbers with different names of different ponies, I gasped when I saw my name next to the number twelve, and the names of Twilight and the other Elements of Harmony. The top read Birthday Game World Edition, I looked at the names of what I assumed to be the lands of this world: Madagascar, Japan, Italy, Thailand, Brazil, England, India, Netherlands, Peru, Turkey I thought that was the name of an animal? I thought, I was rather amused at the thought, next was USA, looks like an acronym, and the last was Germany, “How does he and whoever made this know about us and what are these wired names?!” I asked surprised.
“I guess you could say we are considered celebrities in his world, this was printed of from something called a computer, and those are the names of different countries, the one that reads USA which is short for United States of America is where you will be starting,” she said.
This answered some questions but raised so many more. I could not say no to this now, I had to meet this stallion.
“as you can see he was born in December,” she pointed where it read December. “In these so-called birthday games, the month is the scenario, the date is the pony who accompanies you,” she added. The scenario read “go to a Christmas market in Germany,” I looked at the twelve realizing that I was supposed to accompany him. “are you up for it?” Celestia asked.
“I will do it, I would like to find out more about this world.” I said firmly.
Celestia smiled and said “I knew you would be interested. The colt is very nice and is looking forward to seeing you.” I nodded and noticed Shinning Armor with a rather worried look on his face,
“don’t worry Shinning,” I cooed to him “I’ll be fine,” Twilight looked at me with pleading eyes, “I am sorry Twilight but you have a lot to learn before you do something like this,” I said,
“yes I agree,” said Celestia,
“when you come back please tell me what his world is like,” she said.
I smiled and said “of course I will.”
“I wish to know what this world is made up of to,” Luna chimed in.
“I will be sure to tell you,” I said.
“Pinkie Promise?” Twilight said,
“Cross My Heart, Hope to Fly, Stick a Cupcake in my Eye!”
“FOREVER!” a hyperactive voice chanted from faraway. We giggled madly knowing only one pony can do something as out outrageous as that.
“PINKIE!” we all screamed jokingly.
“Well I do hope you enjoy your time in this other world but first thing is first before I forget,” Celestia said pulling out a map from her saddlebags. The map depicted a triangular shaped piece of land with the words “Map of Virginia” at the top with a star over a place called Richmond an area shaded in purple had been circled with a marker, it read “Stafford.” “He will give you the crash course when you arrive about the state as a whole, it is very interesting,” Celestia said.
Next she pulled out a map that read “Germany” with a star over a place called “Berlin”. “He told me to start in Berlin which is the capital of Germany,” Celestia added. “I thought it was pronounced Gerrmany,” Celestia giggled “no silly, he said it is pronounced with a ju sound,” she said, I nodded still confused.
“Well enough talk for now,” she said “time for your adventure to start, we will be assisting you so you don’t burn your magic and plus you won’t feel tired so you can start right away,” she added happily, I watched as Celestia, Shinning Armor, Twilight, and Luna charged up their horns. I charged up mine as well and focused on the place called Stafford.
