They were wearing Vortex Airborne outfits that was enchanted to make their coat a grey color. They also had a saddle bag that had three bags instead of two, the third on the back of the pony who wore them. They had ballistic helmets on their heads, oxygen mask strapped across their face, and HVS in their ears. They finished inspecting each other before the yellow light disappeared. The green light appeared, the soldiers made their way to ramp at the end of the cargo aircraft that was beginning to lower. Cold air immediately whipped across the parts of their face that wasn't covered by the ballistic helmet or the oxygen mask. They stood in a line before jumping off the ramp into griffon territory. Their HVS turned on as the ASPS quickly got the wearer’s location and altitude. On the interface, they could see a yellow diamond that told them it was the landing point. They kept their hooves straight and against their bodies as they began to accelerate towards their objective before releasing the parachute. A black cloth easily enough to make a dress each rolled out from the HAHO jumper’s saddlebags. Lines connect from the cloth to a harness slowing down the jumper’s descent allowing them to maneuver towards their objective. The jumpers formed a line coming from top to bottom. Master Sergeant Silk Wrap was at the bottom and was the jumpers’ navigator to the objective. She looked across the forested area that was the Kingdom of the Griffons, Calafia. The forests spanned across the kingdom connecting against mountains forming a U-shaped barrier around the kingdom itself. The kingdom’s castle was at the far end of the mountain barrier and the objective was outside the U-shaped barrier. They began to near their landing point which was a clearing in the forest kingdom. They made contact with the dirt and rolled for a few seconds before gaining their bearings and rolling up their parachute into the pack it was contained in. They hid their packs and tried to find each other as they had landed in different locations as to not interfere with each other’s landing. “This Silk Wrap, is everypony ok?” Came over the radio as she took off her oxygen mask. “Yes ma’am.” Came the reply from the other three ponies. They looked at their interface and before making their way to each other. They met up near where a river bordered the forest and the clearing. “Ok, stick to the plan, we go in there place the charges, Polka Hole, you're in charge of that.” “Got it.” “Dead Eye, you will stay back and cover us, make sure you don’t forget to check your EPS.” “Aye sergeant.” “The both of you are with me, move out.” The sniper parted ways and made way to a secure and high up ridge that was somewhat near the LZ and able to cover the compound. The others ventured through the forest, creeping like wolves towards the supply depot. After a while, the group was laying down on their bellies as they focused their interfaces in what was in front of them. The supply depot was lit up with magical torches courtesy of the zebras who allied with the griffons. There were airships being loaded up supplies by zebra and griffon soldiers. The griffons had muskets and flintlock pistols harnessed  to various belts tied around their shoulders. “So sergeant, any bright ideas?” Came the voice of Dead Eye talking through the radio. “Oh hush, the plan was to sneak in. And we stick to that plan.” She gave the military compound a final look before ushering the others onto their hooves. “We will make a beeline for the building over there at my count,” pointing her hoof at the one story building next to a large warehouse where some griffon were moving boxes of weapons, “in 3, 2, 1 NOW!” The group made their way straight into the building opening the door and slipping inside. Reflexes kicked in as the sound of swords being unsheathed. The group brought up their weapon. Wide Spread aimed her AA-12 at the nearest griffon. Silk Wrap dashed at another griffon, combat knife ready in her hoof. Polka Hole took aim with her QBB LSW at two griffons ready to pull out their pistols. One second later with several pews muffled by the sound of the airships lay a splattered corpse with multiple bullet wounds. Holes in the next two corpse whose weapons had been destroyed by a light machine gun. A slish sound was heard as Silk Wrap pulled out her bloodstained combat knife from her target’s throat. They reloaded and opened a door in the office that led to the inside of the large warehouse. There were two zebras conversing in the middle of the warehouse. Silk Wrap took aim with her M16 and fired four shots, two in each zebra’s head as their blood splattered a box behind them. “Polka, plant some charges here.” “On it.” replied Polka who took out three packs of C-4 and placed them on the beams supporting the warehouse. *** Dead Eye looked through his scope switching from the various visions before he got bored. He checked his EPS to make sure no one was sneaking up on him. He looked back into the scope again aiming at the building the group had just entered. “Silk, is everything alright?” He asked through the radio. “Everything is fine, we just took out some guards, Polka is setting up charges in the warehouse.” He then spotted a group of five griffons quickly heading towards the warehouse. “Uh guys you might want to get out, like now! Five griffons are right outside the door.” The lead griffon lifted his claw and opened the door. Dead Eye pulled the trigger. *Thud* *Click Clack Ding Click Click* *Thud* The griffon looked back and saw two of his friends laid on the ground, blood pouring from a wound in their head. He began to reach for his pistol hooked to his belt before his throat was stabbed by Silk Wrap. Wide Spread produced her pistol and shot one of the remaining griffons. Polka lifted up his LMG and shot the last griffon who was about to shoot Silk Wrap with his musket. “I think you guys should get a move on, I spotted two more large warehouse. That blood is obviously going to attract somebody.” “Where are the warehouses?” Asked Silk Wrap as she and the other two dragged the griffons bodies inside the warehouse. “On the other side, be careful, there are guard posts around the outskirts so I think you should go from building to building until you reach the warehouses.” “Roger that Dead Eye, Polka, Wide Spread let’s move out.” Part 1 End //-------------------------------------------------------// Operation: Falling Star-Part 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Operation: Falling Star-Part 2 Part 2 *Thud* *Thud* “Guards are taken care of, proceed with caution,” said Dead Eye as he reloaded his sniper. The shell of the previous bullet dropping onto ridge’s top with a slight click. Silk Wrap, Polka Hole, and Wide Spread made their way to the second warehouse’s door with Wide Spread in the front. “Roger that, breaching door now,” replied Silk Wrap as Wide Spread aimed her shotgun at the door’s lock and shot. The door opened wide to reveal three surprised griffons playing a game of card on a wooden table. Wide Spread opened fire on two of the griffons while Silk Wrap blasted the last griffon with her M16. They made their way inside the warehouse. Polka got out C-4 and proceeded to plant them on the supplies of food and weapons while Silk and Wide dragged the griffon bodies behind a crate of magical bombs. “Hey Polka, gimme a charge, I want to plant one in this crate of bombs.” Said Silk as she examined the various crates of magical explosives around the warehouse. Polka tossed her the C-4 as he was done planting the charges. Silk caught the charge and planted it snugly in between two bombs. She brought up her gun and made her way to the door. “Ok squad, we’re moving to the next warehouse.” The group got out of the warehouse and making their way into a building along the way. They opened the door and came upon the compound’s office. They came upon a lot of enemies. Griffons and zebras looked at the intruders before drawing their swords, muskets, and pistols. They weren’t fast enough as the group threw flashbangs. Silk closed the door to the office and aimed at the office’s light source. The office was enveloped in a dark blanket as the group brought up their night or thermal vision and fired upon the dazed enemies. Shots ripped through bodies coating the desks and files with blood. A griffon shot his musket and scored a shot on Wide Spread’s left back leg. She collapsed gasping in pain as she dropped her shotgun. The shotgun lost in the debris of desks and papers, she reached for her pistol and shot the griffon who shot her. She opened her saddlebag and took out bandages and rolled it around her wounded leg. The others finished of the remaining griffons and zebras. They reloaded and help Wide Spread up. She searched around the debris for her shotgun and found it under a desk. They searched around the office. There had been nine griffons and seven zebras in the office. Most of the shots had gone too the head while some had shredded a griffon into a pile of bloody meat. Silk Wrap looked at the various files and papers, sifting around using her EES to take pictures of battle plans and other important files. She finished checking the files before regrouping with the others at the door. They made their way out of the office building and continued their way under the watchful eye of the shadow. As they slipped from buildings from building, being more careful than last time, they came upon the last warehouse. The warehouse was actually two warehouses together, making a very large warehouse. They were obviously keeping something big and dangerous inside. There were at least two dozen guards plus some warships. “Damn,” was all Silk Wrap said before moving into a nearby building, her squad right behind her. She lined up against the wall where the door was. The other line dup on the other side of the door. There was chatter inside the. She decided to eavesdrop on the conversation. “I say we send out every soldier we have and sweep the compound. Didn’t you see the office. There is obviously ponies here,” said a griffon. “I agree with him, I say we sweep the entire compound, I saw some of our plans discarded on the tables in the office. They know our entire time table and plans,” said another griffon, pounding a table for emphasis. “Fine, I’ll send for the guards and soldiers to cover the entire depot. Get everyone on alert, tell them that we have been infiltrated and that we should train caution. Is that clear everyone?” “Yes sir,” replied the other two griffons. “Then move it!” THe group heard scrambling as the two griffons made their way to the door. They hid against the wall hoping that the griffons wouldn't notice them. The door opened and out came the first griffon, spreading his wings, the griffon took off towards one of the guard towers. The second griffon came out the door but lingered for a while. He took out a cigar and lit it up with a nearby torch. He closed the took and walked away from the door. Wide Spread took this time to unsheathe her combat knife and sneak up on the griffon. She raised her combat knife behind the griffon’s back before plunging it. The griffon gave a surprise gasp as her life was taken away by the soldier. The griffon dropped onto the floor before Wide Spread hooked her arms around the griffon and dragged the body away. She wiped her combat knife on the griffon’s coat before putting it into its sheath. She turned around and made her way back to the others.y *** “The whole compound is in high alert, as Obsidian Cover would say ‘Hurry the fuck up’.” Came Dead Eye’s voice over the radio as he peered into his scope using his HVS to spot the group. The group was sneaking behind the warehouse, there was a higher amount of griffons and zebras on patrol now. “Dead Eye we need a distraction, the back way is guarded by five griffons,” said Silk Wrap as she was hiding behind a crate. He saw a panicked zebra come from the area Wide Spread had taken the griffon down. He told one of the griffons who sent two zebras and griffon to check. He aimed his sniper at a warship, aiming at balloon. He held his breath and shot. The recoil from the sniper passing over him as the balloon started to burst into flames. The warship started to descend bringing down another warship with it. Griffons flew out from the burning warship as zebras fell down, splattering the ground below. The griffons below took cover as the zebras got buckets of water. The warship finally made its way down and crashed into a building, the other warship following close behind before exploding, sending shrapnel into the nearby zebras. They threw water onto the burning pile of wood. The group took this opportunity to make their way into the warehouse using the backdoor. *** Polka Took lead, he opened the door to the warehouse. He went inside and the group followed behind. Wide Spread closed door before turning on her EES as she looked around the warehouse. Inside the warehouse was two cannon, but this cannon was was half the double warehouse. Silk Wrap came upon the shells for the cannon. She used her knife and pried one of the shells open revealing explosives, magical explosives, and gunpowder. She took several pictures of the cannon and shells. Polka Hole sifted through the crates near the cannon to find schematics for the cannon. The cannon was called City Buster Mk 3. He took pictures of the schematic before opening his saddlebag. He pulled out the rest of the C-4 and dumped it in the middle of the warehouse. Silk Wrap took some of the C-4 and started placing them on the cannons and shells. Wide Spread took the C-4 to a crate loaded with gunpowder. Polka spreaded the C-4 around the warehouse, placing them in valuable crates containing weapons and gear. They finished placing all the C-4 before the front door open revealing at least a dozen angry griffons, covered in soot. There was also some zebras in the back in the same condition as the griffons. They all had swords and firearms drawn aiming them at the group. “You dare come into this compound and kill our men, well we will kill you and hang your heads on spears!” Yelled the lead griffon as he fired his flintlock pistol. The bullet was directed at Silk Wrap who rolled out of the way behind a crate of food. The other griffons shot their firearms. Polka rolled behind a crate of armour. He stood on his hind legs and sprayed his LSW, mowing down griffons and zebras. A zebra took aim with his musket aiming at Polka’s head and fired. The bullet went through Polka’s mane making him get down into cover. He took out a flashbang and threw it. Wide Spread sneaked around the griffons and aimed her AA-12 at the remaining enemy. She pulled the trigger sending bullets fly into the zebra and griffons shredding them apart if they were too close to the swarm of lead. Silk Wrap came up from her cover and shot the zebras in the back with her gun. *Click* She released the magazine grabbing for another and shoving it into her gun. She aimed it at the fleeing zebras see that they couldn’t beat the intruders. She yelled, “everypony, move out, get to the checkpoint!” The squad regrouped and made their way out of the compound with griffons hot on their trail. Dead Eye was dropping the griffons from the sky as he packed up his sniper and regrouped with the fleeing squad. They were running as fast as their legs could carry them to the checkpoint. They made it to the checkpoint which was a forest. Silk Wrap looking at her minimap trying to find their way out. She came upon a bush and told the others to help her move it. The bush revealed a HMMWV or Humvee, the group piled into the car with Polka driving and Wide Spread manning the minigun turret on top of the  car. Polka drove the group out of the forest to meet a part of surprised zebras, as they have not seen a machine like that before. Wide Spread opened fire on the zebras as they scrambled for their lives. None escaped as Wide Spread took all of them down. They couldn't let anyone escape. The car was starting and was making its way to the LZ, a far distance away. Silk Wrap took out the detonator from Polka’s saddlebag. She pulled it and a loud rumble could be heard. She looked at the direction of the compound, seeing a lot of red and orange. She smirked before putting the detonator in her vest pocket. “This is Squad Foxtrot, we have completed mission objectives over.” She said over the radio. “Roger that Squad, prepare for extraction.” She looked up to see an Osprey V-22 flying overhead. They had made it to the LZ. The osprey dropped down cables and the squad hooked the humvee to the cables. Each cable connecting to each edge of the humvee. As the humvee was connected to the cables. Silk Wrap and Polka Hole used the rope ladder to climb aboard the osprey while Wide Spread and Dead Eye flew into the osprey. They closed the aircraft door as the osprey began to to regain altitude. Silk Wrap took off her helmet and her vest as she lay on one of the osprey’s bench. She looked outside through one of the port windows. There was a star, falling down into the horizon.
