Time is merely a concept created by mortals who wish to believe that their short meaningless life is actually worth the effort of living they seem to put into it for whatever reason they may have; be it family,friends, or even trying to better the world.
sadly all mortal beings must pass on with time and there is little we can do about this no matter how hard we may try. This is a concept i have come to understand all to well.
Once upon a time i knew their pain and suffering but that was so long ago. Back in a time when i was still mortal,back when i still cared for others.But now i am different i gained the power to do as i please but it came at far too severe a cost.
I am no longer the being i used to be all those long years ago. Once i was a valiant warrior who was beloved by all and was happy about his placement in the world but over my many years i have morphed into a monster that is feared by everypony and finds enjoyment in terrorizing the very innocents i used to do my best to try and protect.
No longer am i called by the name i was born with and no documents are left that hold the tales from before my fall into darkness. its been so long that even i have almost forgotten it.
Now it is merely a forgotten name among the many i have earned throughout the centuries. Monster,Freak,Lord of chaos,King of madness. These are all names i have been called in my time and they are all ones i deserve.
Now i am simply called Discord because it is what i represent and can only be now. A monster that embodies all forms of chaos be it madness, unbalance, even up to destroying the very physics that hold this world together.
I never wanted this to happen but i had no choice. I fell into the darkness to save everypony else. When everypony else finally achieved peace in the world its very fabric started to come undone. Our world was about to fall into pieces because there must always be a balance in the universe. with life comes death and with harmony and order come disharmony and chaos.
Without the chaos that is caused by war our world became too unbalanced and something had to be done about it. Because of this I was given a new lot in life. To be the one who reinstates the balance but the others did not see it this way.
Instead they saw me as the one who would try to destroy everything they had worked for. When i tried to reason with them and show them the truth they attacked me and sealed me away in a prison of stone.
They wiped the very record of my life before this away and left me to sit in my jail just waiting for the seal to break so that i may try to fix this world before it crumbles into dust.
If they see me as a monster then a monster I shall be because as long as my immortal body lives on and gives them something to hate then the world will not fall yet.After all if they hate me then i can use that hate to cause just enough chaos to protect them from the demise i can see coming. I just pray that i wont forget my duty to Equestria in the coming eternity

Love is a pitiful thing that creatures cling to in the hope that they are not alone and uncared for. They blindly fall for this lie believing that is will bring order into their lives.
My name is King Sombra and I have learned the truth that order will destroy this world and love will not save us or help us in any way at all.Once a friend of mine long ago tried to warn us about what was happening to our world but we ignored him and locked him away for trying to destroy the order we had worked so hard to create. i wish we had actually paid attention to him back then, maybe just maybe the future would have been different and better in the end if we had.
After he was imprisoned i got around to thinking about what he was trying to say and eventually came to the belief that he was right all along. If our world continued down the current path we had set it on it would die.
After what we did to our friend when all he was trying to do was show us the errors of our way of thinking i could not simply sit by and do nothing while our world rotted.
With great hast i hurried back to the kingdom i ruled and called home with one thing on my mind. If our love for our citizens is what led us to fight for the order that is killing us then i would use hate to tear it down so that we may live on. After all if love created the order the surely loves counter-part would help be able to destroy it.
I began in secret in the beautiful crystal kingdom i had created. My kingdom was the very epitome of love in the country if i could cause it to fall to hate then perhaps it would just be enough to stop what we had started in out blind beliefs.
Sadly it was not meant to be.My plans had been discovered by two of the ones i had considered friends and they were on their way to try and put a stop to it. In haste i sent a letter to the only other remaining member of our group of friends detailing what was happening and how out wish for peace and order would destroy the very things we had sought to protect. I begged her to do whatever it took to prevent this.
After i had sent my letter off with a spell i did the only thing i could. I placed a curse on my kingdom to keep the others from undoing the work i had started. With that done i left my kingdom to meet the ones that i once considered my friends.
When they arrived where my kingdom was supposed to be and found only me they were furious. In their blind rage they sealed me within the very ice that surrounded my kingdom.
I did not resist because eventually I will be able to break free and as long as my kingdom is hidden my work shall remain safe. One day i will return to finish what has been started. I just hope it won't be too late when i do
