The Story of nNightmare Moon
Dusk
Load Full StoryLuna cried that night, like she did every night, when dusk came. She would have to raise the moon and see ponies all over Equestria cast it away. They wanted my sister's sun, no on cared about the night, full of a thousand suns. She watched fillies frolic in the meadow next to her house, they're smiles never went away while they laughed and danced. She knew their smiles would fade as the moon rose, then their mother would urgently call them back into the would and glare at her before slamming the door. She soared into the sky and lifted the moon with her. Smiles faded, glares with given and received, and tears fell. Her tears shone with the light of the stars as she arranged the constellations she had worked so hard to make, but no-pony cared about. Celestia watched her from the terrace, but she did nothing to comfort her or to lift the burden of being hated. Luna landed next to Celestia and plastered on a fake smile and said hello and all that. She walked stiffly back to her room and collapsed onto the purple bed and sobbed into the over-cushy pillows. "excuse me, your majesty?" a nervous guard outside the door said. She had stopped sobbing but still felt like and old man/ colt (whatever.) who was about to die. "what?" she groaned and rolled into a different position on her circle bed. "well, uh, well, there's, uh, there's a pony who wants to see you." she sat up immediately "i'm coming!" she shouted as my tangled legs caused me to face plant. she combed my snarled mane to perfection using fifteen different utensils. she opened the door and the guard led her to the throne room where a mare and her filly stood nervously in front of her throne. she perched herself in the chair and asked a simple question, "what can a i help you with?" it wasn't menacing or anything, just cheerful and nice , rainbows and all that stuff. they cowered and answered "i want you to stop making the night come!" she glared at her, who does she think she is, telling me not to fulfill my destiny, upsetting the balance of, everything. "that is not possible." she said firmly, not yet angry. "but why?" the full grown mare whined. "because, as there is no yin there is no yang, there is no day if there is no night. if i accept this request, it will prevent me from fulfilling my destiny and mess up everything me and my sister have worked so hard to create!" her voice rose as she stood up, absolutely furious at the mare for trying to destroy the balance they had created since discord was defeated. there was almost literally fire in her eyes. "now leave, peasant!" she shrieked at the mare and picked her up ,using magic, setting her outside the door gave her a glare and slammed the door the mare's face.
