Ripple herself has always been rather dull and sad. And with being an all gray pegasus while her mother is pink, orange, yellow, and blue, she is constantly teased to no end at her school. When her mother decides to move to Mareslake to get Ripple away from all the bullies, Ripple is overjoyed. But things don't get much better. There are still bullies, but one filly, Fauna, decides to be Ripple's friend. With this new friendship in her life, Ripple begins to become who she really is, and break out of the shell that was holding her back.
