Ever since Spike turned 18, things have been sort of different for him. It's got nothing to do with hormones or girls or anything of the sort. Spike and Rarity were out on a gem-hunting expedition and the teenaged drake found something very interesting: a rather inedible gem and a belt it fit right into. Placing the belt around his waist and the gem in its slot, he transformed into a Kamen (Masked) Rider!

Now that the first Gem Console has been activated, a dark force has awoken and sets its sights set on only one thing: consuming all of Equestria in its gemstoned grasp. Will Spike be able to protect his friends, or will he be unable to handle the pressure that comes with saving the world?
