“Ya I know girl it’s fucking frigid out here. But we have to get this antenna repaired.” A Colored man said wearing a heavy fur lined black winter jacket with a purple hoodie, under it a black flat brim fitted hat with a purple fleur de lis in the middle, Boots, thick winter gloves, goggles, lined thick Cargo pants, and a scarf covering his neck.

But if you looked behind him you would see that sticking out from the man’s back about four or five inches was what looked like an armored hump. But in running down the middle of the hump was a holographic display which featured ten segmented but detailed images of human spinal cord vertebra creating the spike like bones that protect the delicate nerves protruding from the hump the hologram on his back was known around the colony as resource integration gear Or a RIG that actually ran along the users spine and linked to and monitored the users nervous Tom. They were actually quite useful for monitoring one’s health and body temp because they would project them a two dimensional image for the user and other allies to monitored and as the user was injured the number of bares on the rig would decrease depending on the type of injury. But his was a custom design as one of the only field scientists and was a commodity the colony didn’t like risking him so his RIG was armored like the ones used by the colony’s surface teams the funny thing about his rig though was that if you didn’t know one could easily confuse his rig for some kind of gruesome and fatal injury.

The man stood up from his job with his Bayleef nuzzling his side to stay worm. The man looked up into the snow.

“Hay! Latias! How’s it going up there?” He shouted hearing four bangs on the antenna letting him know that she had heard him and it was ok.

“How’s our baby Eevee doing up there with you!?” he asked and upon receiving another four bangs he decided to get back to work knowing they were ok up there.

“Got it just hold it for a little longer!” He yelled.

Kneeling back down he lowered his goggles grabbed his welding torch continued working with his Bayleef snuggling closer for the warmth of the 6,000 *C Flame. He continued working until he heard a set of footsteps coming from behind him.

“Hay man I brought you some more welding rods.” The voice said from behind him.

“Thanks Zach. You’re a life saver.” The man said holding a hand out until he received a rod.

“Almost. Done!” he said finishing up and Jumped up. Waking his sleeping Bayleef by accident and making her fall on her side into a snow bank.

“Squirt. Squirtle. Squirtle!” Zach’s little companion laughed only to receive a two snow balls to the face courtesy of Bayleef.

“Hay Quann where’s your Latias and Eevee?” Zach asked.

“Up there. Hay I’m done you can come on down!” He yelled receiving two bangs in return.

Turning around Quann saw he friend Zach who had his usual facial stubble forming a beard. He was wearing a thick winter jacket with a hood attached, he also had on a red hoodie and tee-shirt under that, he also had on blue winter pants, and black boots, with Mamoswine fur mittens. And his signature fitted flat brim DC hat.

Zach’s rig was a more armored version of the standard Colony seven Security RIG set it stuck out about five or six inches and had the same amount of segments as his friend Quann. And the segments themselves were nothing special just ten cyan cylinders going along his spine. The rig armor itself was more of a reddish color. Whereas Quann’s was a darker blue and the segments themselves being a whitish purple.

“Hay Zach…” before he could finish he was tackled by a white and gold blur. Leaving Zach with the job of catching the silver Eevee witch he did relatively easily.

“Hay Latias get off!” Quann shouted as struggling to get from under his shiny Latias. She continued to nuzzle him until she was hit with a take down by Bayleef knocking her off of him.

“Bay. Bayleef! Leef-bay!”

“La lati- tias!”

The two Pokémon continued to argue with each other with Eevee looking back in fourth. But before they could continue one of Zach’s poke-balls opened and another shiny Latias came out and scolded the other.

“Looks like angel decided to take the high road this time.” Quann said taking Eevee into his hands from Zach.

“Ya…” Zach started.

But as he was about to continue the entry hatch swung open and three men walked out. Well it would be more correct to say two men walked out and one fell out coughing. Two of them were hearing Mamoswine mouth covers while the other wasn’t.

“Get up.” The one with a shotgun in his hands said.

“Give me another day. Just one more day.” Said the older sick man who had to be in his mid to late fifties who was wearing a winter clothes and a regular unarmored civilian rig. Witch only consisted of four segments and resembled four triangle shapes going down the user’s spine in a line staged line. This particular man’s rig was at the last bar and was blinking red.

“One more day isn’t going to make any difference.” The leader said pushing him back down. The leader was also wearing a civilian rig but it had a little bit of brass armor.

“Please! Give me some more meds.” The sick man said crawling backwards.

“You had your meds Hal. You’re getting worse.”

“Put me back in quarantine.” Hal said.

“Come on guys return.” Quann said returning his Pokémon to their pokeballs. All except for his Bayleef who hated them.

“Just till tomorrow. I’ll get better! *Cough*” Hal said

“You’re not going to get better Hal.” The gunman said loading the shotgun.

“I’ll take the walk. It’s my choice.” Hal said holding his hand out pleading.

“Not today.” The gunman said pumping the shotgun.

“You can’t do this. It’s my choice! *cough*”

“It’s my job. Make your peace Hal.”

“Mason!” Quann yelled running over with Zach and Bayleef behind him.

“He tested positive Quann!” Mason said turning to him and his friends. As Hal coughed in the background.

“He has a choice! Let him walk!”

“He’ll just come back. They all ways do. We can’t let him infect the rest of the colony.” Mason said aiming the shot gun at Hal only for him to have his elbow pulled away by Quann.

“Mason!” Quann said earning a glare from Mason.

“This isn’t right.” Quann pleaded.

“Bay Bay!” “Ya man back off.” Zach and Bayleef said.

“This is survival!” Mason said before mushing the twenty year old to the ground. And taking aim at Hal and shooting him in the back as he tried to run. And as his rig dropped to black it made a flat line sound for about three seconds.

“Nothing personal.” He said before turning back and walking into the Colony.

“His time was up that’s all Quann.” The other a blue hared man said.

“It wasn’t your fault James.” Before he turned and walked back inside followed by Zach and Bayleef into the colony.

“In This place we live in fear of the common cold.”

Quann, Bayleef and Zach walked through the colony looking for the last member of their group of friends.

“The last flu wiped out twenty people in less than a week.”

After talking to some other survivors and letting Eevee out of her pokeball and onto his shoulder. Quann and Zach continue onward in their search.

“So now we’ve got rules. You get sick, you go into quarantine.”

After some more searching the group finally finds Kody in the bio dome with is Beedrill. Kody is what you would call the strong silent type most of the time. His Rig was an armored version of the civilian rig resembles his rig’s armor was brown like wood and the hologram itself resembled a twisting vine with the lives of the vine acting as the bars.

“If you don’t get better. You’ve got a choice.”

The four of them walked around for a bit before going to get some food from the mess hall.

“A bullet, Or a long walk in the snow.”

The four of them continued to eat with Bayleef continually nuzzling her trainer. Until he got an audio message from the doctor telling him that had to go talk to his mentor and leader of this ragtag group of survivors. Briggs but to anyone but him Doctor Redwood.

“At least that’s how it’s supposed to work.”

“Briggs.” Quann said following after he mentor. Who was a middle aged black man who he swore looked like Laurence Fishburn. He was dressed in a thick brown fur collared black winter coat. He also wore a crimson jacket, with black winter pants, and unlike Kody, Briggs wore a pretty decently armored bronze rig that stuck out about an inch or two and the display was that of the civilian rig.

“What’s up Quann?” The large black doctor asked as he kept walking.

“I need to talk to you.”

“Look don’t start. Hal knew the rules. His blood test was positive and he wasn’t getting any better.” Briggs said pausing to let another survivor pas.

“We don’t have the meds to keep fighting this flue any more. And we can’t risk another outbreak.” He continued.

“Why do we leave it to one guy who loves to pull the trigger?” Quann asked following his mentor up a short flight of stairs.

“Look this Colony started with over 400 people. And I have done too much surface time with a shotgun in one hand and a shovel in the other… I’ve had my fill of blood in the snow. You understand? Now mason is doing just what has to be done.”

“Ya but he’s not doing it right. He didn’t give him a choice….. Hal wanted to walk not take a bullet.” Quann said sadly and

“Well right now we have a bigger issue. Come with me. Get your friends.”

“Alright people listen up!” Briggs said to Quann and his friends.

“What is it Professor?” Kody asked.

“Well white boy. I have heard through the grape vine that Mason is planning a coup to over throw me.” Briggs said

“Isn’t that some shit.” Zach said

“Ya they are planning on moving on me today so we have to leave now before we get cornered.” Briggs said.

“What? Leave!” Kody argued.

“Ya Kody it is our best bet to get away before Mason starts cracking down.” Quann said earning nods from the others.

“Ok let’s split up. Zach you’re with me. We are going to the armory to get some weapons and ammo and blow the rest. Kody you go with Quann and help him get his projects they just might come in handy. We meet at the entrance in 45 minutes.” Briggs said earning nods from them all

“Let’s get it done. Come on Bayleef.” Quann said running down a corridor with Kody close behind him.

“Bay Bay!” she said before following her trainer.

“You to kid lets go.” Briggs said to the twenty-two year old Zach. As they both ran down the corridor to the armory.

“Ok Kody the gauntlets should be in that chest over there here’s the key.” Quann said throwing Kody a key. Bayleef was getting the other things like a fist sized glowing cylinder label solar reactor.

“Come on buddy where are you?” Quann said

Franticly searching for his very first and most powerful Pokémon’s poke-ball. This was given to him by professor red wood when he started his Pokémon journey and he had trained this Pokémon all his life in secret so he always has a trump card. After flipping over a bag he found it a blue and orange pokeball, smiling because no one had ever seen this Pokémon not even his other Pokémon this was his only male Pokémon. It was the crowning achievement in Professor Red woods days working in team rocket as a breeder and a geneticist, Before he left to become a professor but despite his leaving team rocket some of the other professors still didn’t like him very much asking that his research went agenized Pokémon evolution.

“Hay Bayleef Come here.” Quann said getting a “Bay” in response and when she came over he put some weird looking coat on her It looked like a jacket making her tilt her head in confusion.

“I don’t know how long we’ll be walking so best to keep you warm.” Quann said getting a nod from her. And began packing supplies into her saddle bags. And his research and tools and some work in progress into his back pack, and more supplies into Kody’s back pack.

“Status Report?” Briggs asked Quann as a holographic live image of his face appeared about three feet in front of Quann on a two dimensional screen that was being projected by his rig if you looked you could see Zach running around in the back ground planting C4 charges.

“Almost done Briggs just have to get a few more things.” Quann responded.

“Understood Briggs out.” He said as the image turned to static and the display diapered.

“Found them!” Kody yelled holding two grey mettle gauntlets that came up to about your elbow with a glowing white circle in each palm.

“Here trade me!” Quann said before throwing Kody his bag and Kody threw him the gauntlets witch he put on. After hearing the satisfying whine of the gauntlets activating he nodded to Kody and they ran to the entrance of the colony. But not before Quann primed the c4 charges in his lab. And whistling calling a Yanma to come flying out of the corner and perch itself on his right shoulder. This Yanma she had given it to him at the start of his Pokémon journey before she died and had been with him since the beginning because of this it was his second strongest Pokémon. But like his Eevee he didn’t keep it in his rotation. It was more like a traveling companion or a pet.

“Yan! Yan!” Yanma greeted happily

“Ee Eevee.”

“* pant pant* Hay Quann?” Kody asked.

“Ya man?” Quann responded as they continued to run to the entrance.

“I wish the others were still here.” Kody said as they rounded a corner.

“Ya I wish Regan, Shane, Chris, and David were here. We could really use there help right about now.” Quann said Remembering back when they were around they were all strong people in their own right but the seven of them were unstoppable.

Rounding a corner the quartet met up with Zach and Briggs at the entrance just as the Colony alarm sounded. Zach had an m16A4 from back in the day, and Briggs had a 500 Mag.

“About time you three got here. Quann, Kody here.” Briggs yelled tossing Kody some kind of pump shotgun, and Quann an Ak-47. Which he slung over his shoulder.

Just as the Bayleef, Quann, and Kody were there they heard the sounds of approaching footsteps and an explosion. And quickly Quann pressed a button on his left gauntlet detonating the charges in his lab.

“Come on we can’t let them escape!” they heard. And they quickly tried to open the door only for them to find out that it was locked.

“We can’t get it open! Professor.” Zach yelled.

“I’ll get it! You might want to back up!” Quann said making them back up wandering what he was going to do. Quickly he aimed both of his gauntlets at the door and much to the shock of the others after they heard a raising whine they saw what resembled a solar beam shoot out blowing up the door. Making the others just stare at him and wonder why he even made them.

“Let’s go.” Briggs said snapping every one out of it except Bayleef who was staring at Quann starry eyed.

“Come on girl!” Quann yelled over the siren snapping her out of it and they followed the others.

The Pokémon working the perimeter were startled when they heard an explosion coming from the colony entrance followed by shouting. Regan’s Milotic like the other Pokémon without trainers who were put on the perimeter guard turned around turned around. But what they saw shocked them they saw they saw Professor Red Wood and there late trainers friends running out of the Colony followed by mason and his followers. But what shocked them was when who they assumed to be Quann judging by the fact that he had a Bayleef running beside him and an Eevee stuffed in his shirt. They saw him slide to a stop turn around and aim his arm at one of their pursuers and fire ‘solar beam’ at them, the attack blew one of Masons men to bits.

“You and those brats aren’t going any were Briggs!” Mason shouted.

“We are leaving Mason you are a tyrant we are leaving this dead colony!” Zach yelled

“You’re now going any ware!” mason yelled as six of his thugs lined up next to him.

“Then I guess we are doing this the old fashioned way!” Briggs said causing the others to stop as well and fall in line.

“Quann, Zach, Kody you guys ready?” Briggs said. And they all reached for there pokeballs.

Pokémon on the line saw that they were outnumbered so they looked to their appointed leader Shane’s Charizard. Who nodded they were going to help them escape no matter what.

“Gyrados! Go!” Zach yelled as a massive Gyrados roared to life

“Kabutops you’re up!” Kody yelled

“Let’s do this Bayleef.” Quann said earning a nod from the dino leaf Pokémon who jumped in front of him after shedding the jacket and saddle bags.

“You’re in charge! Garchomp GO!” Briggs yelled making the pseudo legendary Pokémon emerge.

“Ha! Is that the best you’ve got! Let’s show them.” Mason yelled pulling out a pokeball of his own.

“Arcanine GO!” Mason yelled

“Houndoom! Blaziken!, Blastoise!, Raichu!, Ivysaur!, Scyther Go!” the others yelled.

Briggs and the others knew they were outnumbered but they had to battle.

“Let’s do this! Bayleef Take down, Blastoise!” Quann yelled and she charged the turtle Pokémon.

“Scyther Close combat! Intercept that Bayleef!”

“Kabutops extreme speed! Stop that Scyther with close combat!” Kody yelled as his Pokémon disappeared in a burst of speed and started to cross blades with the grass type sparks could be seen and clangs would be heard as the two bladed Pokémon exchanged blows.

“Bayleef! Leaf storm!” Quann yelled.

“Houndoom! Flamethrower!, Blaziken! Fire punch!” two of the goons yelled

“Gyrados Hydro pump!” Zach yelled the powerful jet of water hit the dog Pokémon broad side knocking it out of the fight. But it wasn’t able to fire another one in time to stop the Blaziken Fire punch which hit poor Bayleef right in the side knocking her back but not before she was able to get her attack off knocking the Blastoise out of the fight.

“Are you alright Bayleef!?” Quann shouted over the snow concerned for his Pokémon.

“B- bay- Bayleef.” She panted confidently wanting to impress her trainer only to have one of her hind legs give out.

“No way Bayleef. You’re hurt you still need to walk after this.” Quann said after getting an understanding nod from her.

Looking to his left he saw that both Zach and Kody were engaged in battles. Zach and Gyrados with the Blaziken, and Kody and Kabutops with Scyther. And when he turned to his mentor he saw that Briggs and his Garchomp were engaged with Mason and his Arcanine. It is at this moment that he had a thought as he saw the two thugs who used the Houndoom and Blastoise reaching for another pokeball.

“Kabutops! Mud-shot!”

“Gyro dose Dragon Pulse.”

“Hay girl time to even the odds.” Quann said as he aimed his gauntlets at the two thugs.

“WhiiiIIIIIIIIINE Boom!” the ‘solar beams’ blew the two thugs into a bloody mist. He then looked and saw that Kody was doing alright agenized the scyther and Raichu. But he saw that Zach was having trouble agenized the Blaziken and Ivysaur so he ran over next to Zach pokeball in hand.

“Ivysaur! Magical leaf!”

“What’s up Quann? Gyrados use Protect!” But it didn’t get up in time and Gyrados was fainted. So Zach recalled him.

“Fuck!” they heard and saw Kabutops faint and be recalled as Kody made his way over to the two of them.

“Ok guys let’s try the ice dragoness.” Zach suggested to Quann and Kody who nodded.

“I’ve got the Ice if you’ve got the Dragoness.” Kody said taking out a pokeball.

“What that hell are they doing?” the four thugs asked each other. They saw Quann and Zach take out pokeballs and throw them at the same time.

“Latias! Mist Ball! Angel! Dragon Rage!” Both Zach and Quann shouted at the same time as the Shiny Latias twins flew out of there pokeballs and preformed there attacks. Then Kody threw up his pokeball.

“Articuno! Ice Beam!”

Kody’s Articuno flew from the ball and fired an ice beam freezing the mist ball and merging them both with angel’s dragon rage resulting in a huge explosion in between the four thugs Pokémon. Knocking them all out. And with out there Pokémon to defend them the trainers were easy targets for Quann, Kody, and Zach. Unfortunately the combo had tired there Pokémon out and when they turned to Briggs they saw that both his Garchomp and Metagross were down but Mason had only two Pokémon left. But the three of them knew they didn’t have anything that could even come close to those twos Pokémon.

“Need some help Briggs?” Quann said getting beside his mentor ignoring the pleas of his two friends and his Pokémon who were convinced that he was going to make Eevee try.

“I could use a hand ya.” Briggs said taking out another pokeball.

“What I can’t let you have all the fun Briggs.” Quann said

They all saw him reach into his jacket and take out a blue and orange pokeball that they had never seen before. And when they looked to Bayleef for a response all they got was the universal I didn’t even know. They both were about to use there last resort Pokémon.

“Hahaha fine a double battle it is!” Mason yelled and threw out two pokeballs.

“Registeel! Dragonite! Let’s Finish this!” Mason yelled releasing the two Pokémon who waited for their opponents and the others waited with bated breath as to who their friends Pokémon would be.

“Lucario! You’re in Charge!” Briggs yelled as he threw his pokeball releasing his second strongest Pokémon. Letting out a loud cry as it was released.

“Ok here we go. SWAMPERT! Lets Clean this up!” Quann yelled throwing his starter and best friend much to the shock of every one but Briggs who gave it to him as a Mudkip.

“What no Lugia?” Quann asked his mentor.

“Please with you here I have no reason to throw him out here.” Briggs said making Mason start laughing

“Oh please you really think that you’re Lucario and a Swampert can stand up to my Registeel, and Dragonite? That’s a joke.” Mason laughed.

“Swampert shut him up Hydro-Pump!” they all saw Swampert rear back and fire a powerful stream of water.

“Dragonite dodge it!” Mason yelled which it complied but to every ones shock when the attack hit the ice it didn’t stop it was covered in a blue aura and curved upward to hit Dragonite anyway.

“Nice job Lucario.” Quann said earning a group in response.

“Registeel! Hyper Beam” the steel Pokémon charged and fires a massive blast at Briggs Lucario.

“Lucario counter with Aura sphere.” Briggs yelled and Lucario fired a massive aura sphere at the incoming hyper beam

“Dragonite hit Lucario with a Dragon rage!”

“Swampert Protect!” Quann yelled every one saw Quann’s Swampert leap in front of the professors Lucario and raise a green shield taking the blast. If these four were such power houses they knew they were in for a long fight.

We find a citron draconicus flying around franticly. You see ever since he brought some of these Pokémon as they were called to Equestria about a year and a half ago so that Fluttershy had more animal friends and the best part was that some were small some were big, they all came in different shapes and sizes. At first they seemed harmless enough but that was until they started having these weird powers that no animal should have.

After the first 5 months they were able to tame some of them and that was when the battling began. And much to Discords amusement the land of Equestria had turned into a much smaller version of earth. Complete with Pokémon gyms and pokeballs, but how the pokeball thing came about he will never know.

But he still needed help cataloging them all and returning some of them to Fluttershy, and Twilight. That is when he felt a very strong source of chaos coming from earth. So he opened a little window to earth to see what it was. And was surprised to see three humans and four Pokémon battling. But unknown to them or discord they weren’t the only ones watching the legendaries of earth were watching there champions battle.

He saw a Dragonite that looked pretty worse for were preform a dragon rush at some weird Quadra pedal fish thing.

“Swampert! Giga Impact!”

“Ok buddy let’s turn this up a notch.” Quann said

“Swaamperrt!”

“Get ready you two. They’re trying something!” mason shouted as everyone saw the orange parts on Swampert’s body start to glow.

(Like no one ever was!)

“Ok Lucario! Extreme speed and Brick Break!” Briggs yelled as the fighting steal type sprinted toward Mason’s Registeel.

“Registeel Hammer Arm! Dragonite Dragon rage!” Mason yelled.

They all saw Briggs’s Lucario’s and Masons Registeel’s attaches collide in a draw reducing them to continue pushing on each other trying to force their way through the others guard. But then Dragonite flew above Registeel rearing its head back to fire its dragon rage.

(To catch them is my real test! To train them is my Cause!)

“Now! Swampert Overheat!” Quann yelled causing the mudfish Pokémon to rear its head back and fire a massive torrent of flames witch collided with Dragonite’s dragon rage.

(I will travel across the land. Searching far and wide!)

“Lucario Protect!” Briggs yelled as the overheat hit the dragon rage knocking the other two back and melting some of the permafrost reducing it to a puddle of boiling water.

“What the hell was that?” Mason yelled.

“Swampert! Muddy water!” Quann ordered and the boiling puddle turned to an earthy soup and turned to a title wave that slammed into Dragonite and Registeel and covering them I water.

Seeing that his student had this covered he recalled his Lucario and stood back with Zach and the others.

(Each Pokémon to understand the power that’s inside!)

“Registeel! Zap Cannon!” Masson yelled and when he turned to his Dragonite he saw it was out cold.

“Swampert! Mud-Shot!” Quann yelled

And the attacks collided and canceled each other out.

(Every challenge along the way. I will face!)

“Swampert! Dynamic punch!”

“Registeel! Hammer Arm!”

The two attacks collided with a powerful shockwave. Locking them in a power struggle.

“Sswaaaammpeeerrt!” he yelled as he overpowered the legendary Pokémon and hit it right in the center eye. And making it stumble back.

(I will battle every day. To claim my rightful place.)

“Swampert! Almost there. Hydro Cannon!” Quann yelled.

(Come with me the time is right! There’s no better team!)

The mudfish unleashed the strongest attack in the water Pokémon arsenal. Try as Registeel might it was just too slow to dodge the attack. And when it hit the torrent of water drilled him straight into the permafrost. And submerged him in water.

“Dammit! Get up” Masson yelled witch he Registeel struggled to one knee standing waist deep in water

(Arm and arm, we'll win the fight. It's always been our dream!)

“Swampert finish lets finish this. Thunder!” Quann yelled.

“Swampeeeerrrrt!” his Pokémon yelled as it fired the powerful electric attack at Registeel. Electrocuting it and knocking it out.

(Pokémon!)

“Fuck you won’t get away with this Briggs. Or your student!” Mason yelled as more of his thugs appeared.

“Swampert! Earthquake!” Quann yelled and Swampert slammed his arm into the ground creating a large crack in the ice between them.

“Come on let’s get out of here!” Briggs yelled over the Blizzard and led them away from the colony. As the thugs threw out there Pokémon.

But just as Quann turned around to battle the thugs Shane’s Charizard landed in between them followed by their deceased friends Pokémon. Charizard turned its head and nodded. Quann nodded understanding that they were going to hold them off.

“Swampert. Ice beam.” Quann said

“Swamp.” His Pokémon said before firing an ice beam at the ice creating a wall of ice between his friends and the riotous Pokémon.

“Thanks Charizard.”

“Let’s go Swampert.” Quann said

“Swampert swamp.” His friend said before they ran to catch up with the others. As the blizzard got worse the four trainers returned there Pokémon. And Bayleef wrapped one of her vines around Quann’s waist to that they wouldn’t get separated.
