Chapter 1: Waking Up in Equestria and Learning to Be a Pony
I woke up slowly, feeling a heck of a ton different. I began doing my mental morning checklist.No motivation? Check. Not wanting to get up? Check. Now the one that is never a check. Hooves? I opened my eyes and looked at where my hands should be. Check. Wait, check? I never had hooves before.
I tried to get out of the unfamiliar bed, but ended up falling off on my face with a thud. I heard hoof steps coming into the room. This is getting really odd.
Next thing I know, a yellow mare saw me and helped me up.
"Oh my. Are you okay?" she said.
It was the kindhearted, adorable, and shy pegasus. I was in Fluttershy's house! That is what I call cool.
"Yeah, I think I'm fine. What I'm really wondering I got here. Do you mind telling me?" I asked, rather shy. "I honestly have no idea."
"Oh, I don't mind. I found you unconscious near my house, so I decided to take you in for a while. By the why, my name is Fluttershy. What's your name?" The mare replied.
This was too cool. I couldn't believe I was in Fluttershy's house! THE Fluttershy!
"I'm really glad to meet ya, Fluttershy! My name is-" I froze. I shouldn't tell her my real name or she would be confused. I decided to tell her my nickname, which I didn't mind."Emmy. Do you mind bringing me a mirror, please?"
"Oh, sure,"Fluttershy responded.
She trotted over with a mirror. When I looked at myself, I nearly screamed. I was a pegasus filly! I had to admit though, I looked adorable. A rosy pink coat, a tiny brown mane and tail, cute little freackles, and sea blue eyes. On an adorableness scale, I was third only to the cutest pony ever, Fluttershy, and Sweetie Belle.
I had a full on wing-boner when I realized I'm in freaking Equestria! I can do anything I want! I'm a pegasus filly! I looked at my flank, and saw it was bare. I could join the CMC!
Apparently, I looked really excited, because then Fluttershy asked if I was okay. I then immediately calmed down.
I would need to learn how to be a pony. How hard can that be?
Apparently, very. I couldn't even walk! I told Flutters that I didn't know how to get around very well, she offered to help and I gladly accepted. I was walking in no time!
Then came a harder part, flying. Fluttershy told me that she can't fly very well, and then told me to go see Rainbow Dash. THE Rainbow Dash! The coolest pony in Equestria, and I was going to fly with her!
A few minutes later, I was face to face with Rainbow. She was going to teach me how to fly! I was so happy I was jumping all around on the way. Who in the hay wouldn't be?
"Hi!" I said exidedly when I met Rainbow, "The names Emmy. Fluttershy said you could teach me how to fly. Could you?"
"Sure, kid, "replied Rainbow Dash, "First you gotta learn the basics!"
All I had on my mind was flying. I started out weak, but got stronger as we progressed through the lesson. Turns out I was a really good flyer! Dash even told me that I was almost as good as she was when she was a filly! That lesson was when Rainbow Dash nicknamed me Hardy Flyer. I had no objections obviously. I might even get a flying cutie mark!
I realized that I should join the Cutie Mark Crusaders, and rushed to the club house. It took a lot of courage for me to knock on that door and ask. Finally, I knocked.
"Hello! I'm Applebloom, this is Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo. Together we are the Cutie Mark Crusaders! What's your name?" The yellow filly who answered the door said.
"I'm Emmy... but after my flying lesson with Rainbow Dash today, m-"
"Wait you had flying lessons with Rainbow Dash?" Scootaloo interrupted me.
"Yeah, and was I was saying, she gave me the nickname Hardy Fly. Appearently I'm really good at flying," I said.
Right then, Scootaloo saw that I didn't have a Cutie Mark. She then asked me if I wanted to join the Crusaders. My reply was obviously yes!
This can't be happening! My greatest fantasies, coming true! This was too awesome!
It was an ordinary sunset. I was reflecting on my day. I had been playing Pokemon X, surfing the web, and reading pony fan fiction. Not the best day ever, but still decent. Then i heard my brother playing video games in his room. The volume is always super loud.
"HEY! TURN DOWN THE STINKING VOLUME!" I shouted to him.
The volume got turned down. I was staring at the sky, trying to figure out why I had so many problems at school. I had done this a million times before, but never successful. Maybe it was my lucky night. I never had luck though. Sure, I had great grades, but other than that not lucky at all.
As the sun sank under the horizon, I knew it was an amazing sunset. The first star soon appeared. It was a good a chance as any. I started reciting my wish.
"Star light, star bright, first star I see tonight. May I have, may I might, have the wish I wish tonight. I wish I was a pony in Equestria so I could have a better life and a chance to start over."
I felt a swish of magic through my body. Maybe it would come true. Then I would be the happiest person ever!
I carried on with my day, computer, pony image searching, creating my friends' OCs in the pony maker, and Pokemon X. I did this until I went to bed. I heard evil laughter, which was no big deal. Strange noises all the time in my house.
I got to sleep right away, that was weird. In the middle of the night, I had a dream in which my wish came true. Little did I know, it was right.
