Have you ever dreamed of...Ponies?
Well, we all have in the little town of Lictonfield. We were a very small community that agreed on many of the same things, so when we all saw this MLP show grow in success, we decided to join in, writing stories, creating art, and dabbling into some strange desires. We all did this at least twice a week, watching as much My Little Pony as we could possibly muster into our time, before going to work, or taking care of our children, or even tending to the wife.
"We merged with the herd", for lack of better words...
And before we knew it, we were dreaming of ponies, about us living in their worlds, about us all getting along, and just escaping from all the problems of the world we have today.
And we would wake up, knowing that living in such a world was impossible beyond all belief. We could never live such a life, no matter how much we hoped...
However, we were wrong.
It was the middle of a Saturday. Everything was peaceful and Quiet. No one was out working their jobs. No one was out tending to fields. Everyone was just talking a gentle, relaxing stroll through the parks, oblivious to what would happen.
It started with a scream of terror from one of the locals, who ran out of the park, hands in her hair, thinking she had gone crazy. When an investigation took place, people found a strange, floating orb, hovering just over a small pond.
Of course, the local authorities were quickly alerted, and we had about seven cops ready to fire at whatever this strange object was. Everyone had quickly evacuated, save for a couple of pedestrians who stood from afar and watched the scene before them. After a small while, nothing happened, and the police began to disperse from the area. If there was anything we felt at that moment, it was possibly shock and confusion. Soon, it even became a tourist attraction, grabbing people from Canada, to Ireland, to the entirety of the UK at one point. This attraction was just as quickly retracted, when the mayor found a way to dispose of it. He didn't want his town to be remembered for something that was out of fates control, so with the help of the government, he sealed it in a miniature Anti-gravity chamber, which led him to safely carry this orb from the park to the bottom of a lake on the outskirts of town.
And I was one of the first to catch onto this.
It was approximately a year later, in the winter, when everything was quiet and calm. I was taking a drive down to the lake to see it begin to frost over. The town loved to have Ice Skating competitions there, and I was always the first to see the lake go cold. I was just about to stop before I realized just how slippery the road was, before I accidentally crashed into the side of the bridge, as it began hanging from the edge. I had hit my head on the steering wheel, and blacked out before I could realize what had happened...
