It was dark when she arrived at the hospital. She stepped inside past the two big glassdoors and walked to the counter where a white mare with a red cross as her cutiemark sat and read in a book. The hall was empty and it was silent. She really hated hospitals. "Excuse me." The mare looked up "Can I help you?" "Ohh uhm yes i'm looking for my grandfather.." The mare sighted. "Name?" "Toffer Pumpkin" She looked through some paper's. "Are you a family member?" She told her she searched for her grandfather. Of course she was a family member! "Yes i'm his granddaugter. My name is Trust Pumpkin" The mare giggled slightly. "What's so funny?" Trust looked confused. "Ohh sorry hehe it's nothimg. Room 230 on the second floor. He's alone." "Thanks..." She walked past her to the elevator.
Trust opend the door slowly. There was her grandpa lying in the bed, breathing flatly and slow. She walked closer and set down on a chair besides him. His fur and his mane were gray from his age but she knew it was orange with lighter orange stripes when he was young and his mane green with lighter green wisps. She saw it on a old painting.
Her grandfather opend his eye's slowly. "Trust?" She smiled. "Yes it's me grandpa!""Oh how nice of you" He caughted She helped him sat up in bed. "slow your very weak" He puted her hooves aside. "Stop that i'm not dead yet.." She looked down. "I'm sorry" He looked out of the window. "Why are you here? Don't you have a coltfriend?" She looked out of the window too. " No he left me..." "Oh"
There was a long silence. "Say grandpa..." She said while looking on his blanket. "Yes?" "What kind of mare was grandma? You barely speak of her."
In this moment his eye's went sad and he looked at the ceiling. There was a long pause. "I think your old enough now..." "Old enough for what?" Her ears flickerd. "Are you wiling to listen to the story of an old foolish pegasus?" His wings slowly moved. She nodded. She knew almost nothing about his past or her grandmother. She loved him for being alwasy so nice to her when she was a filly but she never met her grandmother. A smile came across his face. He adjusted his green sunglasses his green eyes glowing the same like when he was young. "Then listen closely this is the story of my life and how trouble some it was when I met your grandma..."
