Shooting Star's Arc

Everyone was raging in panic that a gigantic comet might kill the entire pony race in Equestria. But I was not going to let this asteroid-thing let me keep from doing the things I want. As a pegasus, I was supposed to help build a cloud dam-sort-of-thing to cusion the comet's fall. I have MUCH better things to do than that useless effort. The earth ponies are digging underground shelters, and the unicorns are practicing spells to attempt to slow the comet, or even break it apart. I fly to the castle that Celestia and Luna used to live at. I have to get info on lots and lots of things. Maybe a potion that can send me to another dimension. I am PREETTY GOOD WITH POTIONS.

When I arrive, I'm greeted by a pony of the name Green Thumb, and she says she also flew here, but a long time ago. I tell her about the comet "A COMET?! OH MY CELESTIA, I GOT TO HIDE!" I wanted to ask her more questions, because she came from another world! I wonder how that was like. Green Thumb flies off into the direction of Los Pegasus.

I go to the library, and I am surely overwhelmed by the amount of books it's filled with. Books about the history of Saddle Arabia, cooking, dark magic spells, ANYTHING! I can absolutely find a book with potions and secrets. I look around the whole library. Not one book. I guess I have to look through all of them…

First book, "Timberwolf Attack Tips". Nope, nothing. Just tips on how to survive a timberwolf attack and yadda yadda yadda.  Next book, "The Changling Origins". This one was actually PREETTY interesting, and I could use a few of these facts. I write down some things Changling horns are made out of. After I go through about 69 books out of the OVER 9,000 books on the 3rd bookcase, I come across an interesting one… more interesting than "The Way Milk Was Discovered". It is called, "Alicorn Magic". It says what alicorn horns and alicorn wings are made out of, what fibers are in their wings to make them good flyers and much more. I think aobut this a for a while. I write down a test-recipe. It says here that alicorn horns are made out of sand, gold, silk, sap from an Everfree Forest tree, and Elemary Water… Wings are made out of much more common things, feathers, water from an Everfree Forest tree, and dragon scales. I can get those easily! But what the hay is "Elemary Water"?! Does this call for more research? No, no it doesn't. I'm too tired. Before I pass out from a studying-hangover, I see colorful mist emerge from the page. My eyes shut.

I breathe in the mist and feel my body disapearing… What's going on? Has the comet maybe come and released gas…? No, I feel my body in a new place now… I see Celestia with Luna. "Do you think I should tell anyone what I saw?" Luna says quietly. "You can't! You will put everyone in a panic! We can worry about this in the future. I will one day send a pony to save us." Celestia remarks. Oh no, they look towards me! Have I just corrupted the fabric of space and time?! No, I think I am invisible to them. I feel my body go somewhere else…

I gasp for air as I float above water. Am I in a lake? This time, Celestia sees me. Oh no no no no no!! Wait, I think this is taking time in the present now… "Young mare, do you have anything to say for yourself for ignoring your pegasus duties and secretly going into this castle to read in a time like this?!" I stand speachless while I tap the water. Celestia sighs. "Shooting Star, I'm afraid it has come to this. It was always going to. Luna and me were going to need a pony capable of going into that star." WHAT?! She gives me a bottle and tells me to fill it up with the lake water. Why? "I will give you 21 hours to get ready and do what you want. You may take small things with you when you go." I get sent back almost in a blink of an eye. I know what's going on now. I'm being sent into the comet.

I pick up the bottle. It has colorful gems that probably represent the Elements of Harmony. Oh I get it now! The lake water was Elemary Water! *Facehoof* Well I have no time to waste! I grab the bottle and find some test tubes in the castle. So nice to just have things laying around. Sand, where to find sand?! Saddle Arabia has plenty of sand! I grab that book I saw earlier about it. "Mhm, yup… I see…" So it has "enchanted sand" in the depths of the regular sand. Well it's time to travel!
