"Flo!!!" my brother's deep voice made me jump "what!?" I asked annoyed "mom...I..I mean Celestia need's to speak to you" I looked at him curiously surely I hadn't done anything wrong, had I? The stairs to her throne was long but once I walked threw those doors I could tell something was wrong the princess had a look of worry to her face and was sending guards off in all directions "you wish to speak with me Princess" I asked in my best Royal Canterlot voice. "Yes Fluorescent it's quite difficult to say this but, it's time you know" "About?" Now this was confusing what was it that I didn't know I lived in this castle for most of my life and was prone to everything that happened here so what didn't I know? "your parents." My face fell, I've never spoken about them not after they're passing "you don't know the truth" "What!? You mean I was lied to!?" Celestia came over and wrapped her wing around me just like when I was a foal and I had gotten hurt or I was upset about something. Celestia had been my "foster" mother ever since the tragic accident, or at least what I thought had happened. "Now Flo promise me you won't be angry at me,I never told you because it was for the best, you're ready now and I believe you wont go seeking for The Dark Lord" Celestia lowered her head. "Promise me, we cannot lose another" She glared at me her intimidating purple eyes which were filled with sorrow,worry and fear. "I promise Princess" "Do you vow on the land of Equestraia young Alicorn" I looked up startled by the new voice, but it was only Luna. "I vow on our land ruled by both princesses of sun and moon" "Very well. Proceed dear sister" Celestia bowed her head in thanks. "My dear foal your parents were not killed by the train headed from Applelousa to Canterlot.....Instead they risked they're life trying to save me from King Sombra. He's darkness got the best of him and turned he's warm beating heart to a cold stone in hes chest. He's wish was to take over all of Equestria." Celestia stopped letting me take it all in "Luna and I tried to defeat and banish Sombra but the darkness that took over he's heart made he's magic strong and dangerous, inflicting anypony could be killed with a single strike. Your parents saved me they manged to block the spell but it bounced and struck them as I fled your parents were killed, instantly. Luna banished him to the Crystal Empire by mistake and has ruled ever since forcing the Crystal Ponies to be slaves." I sat there tears flowing down my face "WHY DID YOU TELL ME NOW!?" I demanded I stomped my hooves. "BECAUSE!" Luna roared. "Silence dear sister" Celestia said putting her hoof in front of her sisters chest, "Sombra's power has grown and he knows that I'm still alive and will do anything in hes power to have me dead so he can have Equestria" "What now princess?" I asked. "You and your brother will be going to live in Ponyville for now it is safer there and as long as you and your brother are safe nothing matters" "Wh... What do you mean by nothing matters?" "When you arrive in Ponyville, don't think about me or Luna don't think about Canterlot and most impotently DO NOT RETURN!" "I understand Princess" I said weakly my throat felt dry my wings weak and weighing my whole body down. "Do one thing Fluorescent for me" "Anything Princess" I manged to squeak. "Try and make friends they will distract you from the dangers of Canterlot" "I'll try Princess" "You leave tomorrow so start packing" "Yes Princess" I forced my hooves to drag me to my room and start packing; knowing I'd be leaving everything I've known the rug the Celestia laid on when rocking me in her wing, the wall-length windows were I could watch the sunrise every morning and set every evening. Soon I'd be starting a new life. Nothing like this one completely different. Friends. Why would I need friends? I've been alone almost all my life and I'm much better that way, I do not need friends. I needed all my strength for my trip to Pony-Ville as Celestia had said. I tried but couldn't sleep I walked down the corridors and found Luna on a balcony looking over Canterlot. "Luna what are you doing" "Guarding for any signs of Sombra. Aren't you supposed to be asleep?" she asked turning to me, "Well yes but I couldn't manage" Luna wrapped her wing around me, "Luna?" "yes?" "why did Sombra grow evil?" "Well Flo you know when you stopped looking for those monsters under your bed?" I giggled at that. "Yea" "Well you realized the monsters were inside you" "Really?" "Yes we all have evil but we all have good. And sometimes we let the evil win and it takes over our life forgetting everything,everyone and any happy thought." "woah" I said I never knew Luna knew this! "And Flo?" "Yeah" "Your brother has a raging anger inside him, if Sombra ever finds you don't let him take your brother okay? Celestia wrapped her wings around me I didn't I couldn't believe this was the last time I'd feel her wings hold me I walked over to Luna she wrapped her wings around me and whispered in my ear "never EVER! Let Sombra take him. Do whatever it takes to protect him he's protected you all these years it's your turn to protect him even if he disapproves keep going. Good-bye Fluorescent Beat" with that I slowly boarded the carriage and Celestia gave the guards the signal to start flying. Canterlot became a misty mess as we rose into the clouds. The pain in my heart was heavy but crying was not an option nor was it allowed my brother grew mad if I ever cried about anything, he thought it was about our parents he'd accuse me of never knowing them and I shouldn't have the right to feel sadness. He'd spend alot of time in he's room but we grew close knowing that we were our only family left. Now I might be the only family I have left if my brother drifts away and lets he's inner monster win. The flight was long and hurtful but finally we grounded my brother eager to stretch hes wings took off the moment we landed leaving me with all the baggage plus my saddle bag which weighed a ton! I struggled all the way down a dirt road following the directions Celestia gave to our house I was so engaged in following the map I didn't notice the stallion in front of me till I knocked into him making all the bags go flying,the quills and paper spill out of my saddle bag. I looked up at him he had a horn and wings an Alicorn! "hey there" he spoke gently hes voice not matching he's size "You okay?" he asked "Um yea" I replied getting up and starting to put things back it wasn't till I bumped horns with him that I realized he was helping "Your an Alicorn!" he cried "Um yea" I said spreading my wings "You must be new?" Swimming with a young stallion who had hes cutie mark and was an Alicorn I only rememeber my brother sneering at he's mother and hissing these exact words "Royals don't mix well with Aliorns like you!" he grabbed me and that was that. I quickly said opening the door and slamming it in he's face. I vowed to not make friends and thats exactly what I was gonna do a vow is something which cannot be broken. The inside of the house was small but cozy nothing like the castle at all! I started unpacking and putting our Cider and AppleJack Daniels in a cabnit when everything started shaking and earthquake? NO there was no earthquakes in PonyVille I decided to go check it out I know it was a bad idea with Sombra on the search but still. When I reached outside there was a orange alicorn with brown hair and blonde tips she was hanging upside down from my roof "what the?" I asked startled and confused what kind of ponies lived here anyway? "HI!" she yelled "I'm Orange Delight! and I heard you were new like never been here before!" she stopped to take a breath she talked fast "and well I wanted to surprise you and kinda got stuck! So well here I am Orange in the flesh! Or would it be fur?" I gave her a confused look "anyway you think we can like be friends I never had a friend before" she looked sad and hurt but than I remembered my vow "Yea me neither welcome to the club" and I slammed the door in her face "RUDE MUCH!?" I heard her scream. I decided to explore the new town so I escaped out the back and let my mind guide me I ended up in front of a large stone building with two alicorn statues up front Celestia and Luna I figured above in large print read:PonyVille Libary. Finally something normal I walked the stone steps and marched in inhaling the scent of old and new books words waiting to be read. My thoughts were disrupted by shouting at the back of the library angry and grouchy I went to chew whoever it was out! At the back I was greeted by a white Pegasus and dark blue alicorn I was dumb-fonded there were so many alicorns here! The white Pegasus was going on about the blue box that stood before him he talked in a Britsh accent not as strong as mine though he had deep blue eyes, brown hair which curled at the top and was blonde, he wore a fez and a tie, hes cutie-mark resembled the blue Police box in front of him which I awkwardly recognized right then until I felt a hoof around me "hello there dear mare I hope you wouldn't mind stepping into the TARDIS" he said. Was this guy crazy? I didn't know him why the hay was he asking me to look at hes blue box which I supposed was the TARDIS.... What did TARDIS stand for? Terrible Assistance Reputation Delama In Space ? Oh buck it! I give up I'm as clueless as a rock! "Um sir I have no idea what I'm reading" The blue Alicorn suddenly whispered "shhh Saphire keep reading" the white pegasus said "Im Quinn by the way" he said presenting hes hoof to me. "Um hi" I said unsure of what to expect from this Stallion "I'm Flourscent Beat call me Flo for short" "Nice to meet you Flo" Quinn said winking "I am the next Doctor!" I was confused what Doctor? I gaped at the poor mare struggling to understand the book she was reading "oh where are my manners!" Quinn suddenly gasped "this" he said pointing to the blue mare "is Saphire Shadow Stone" she looked up her eyes outlined with thick black eyeliner "Um hello" she said in a small and whispery voice "its a pleasure" she forced a smile. Quinn stepped forward and asked again "Would you mind giving the TARDIS a try?" "I'm truly sorry dear stallion but I must be on my way" I said backing up and than running out of the library. Again I heard shouting is that all ponies do here is shout "aw come on Fire you know we're right" "I DO NOT!" stomped an angry....Yep you guessed it another Alicorn this one was orange with fire for hair and a Pokeball as a cutie mark. She was talking to three Stallions each with long and heavy metal like hair on had brown and blonde hair the other,had black hair with some blue streaks scattered the last had, red and orange hair they all were unicorns. I trotted over "Whats going on?" I asked they Stallions all stared at me I seemed to have an odd attraction to the brown and blonde haired one "Oh thank Celestia you're here and your an Alicorn like me!" the firey Alicorn said her hair became hair and she introduced herself to me "I'm DragonFire it's a pleasure" she seemed normal and she bowed her head towards me "and you are?" demanded the red and orange haired Stallion "I" I said pointing towards myself "am the daughter of Celestia I come from Canterlot and I am Princess of music as they called me back in Cnaterlot" okay so I was pushing it but this was so awesome the stallions all looked at me, "Oh dear me" said the Black haired pony "I am Jordan this is Sean and thats Colby" he said introducing me to each of he's friends. "Jordan its bullshit she isnt any of what she says" "Dont mind him" DragonFire inturuppted "he's an odd one" she gave me a warm smile "care for a fly?" she asked. FINALLY SOMEPONY WHO ENJOYED FLYING!!! "I would love to" I said I shot up leaving a pink trail behind me Dragon setting Colbys hoof on fire. I looked down Colby screaming and Jordan blowing on he's hoof "sorry 'bout them" Dragon said "MetalHeads are weird" she said sighing shaking her head. We flew higher the clouds now our ground DragonFire let herself fall into a big fluffy cloud "ever lied on a cloud before Flo?" she asked her eyes a bluish green in the sunlight, I shook my head "WHAT!?" she asked perking up "I lived in the Princess's castle" I told her "so you were'nt lying!?" she said "What no, why would I lie" "Oh I don't know mostly cause everyone here does" she said rolling her eyes "but seriously try a cloud" Dragon said pulling another cloud close to her "Won't I sink?" "Course not you're an Alicorn!" I let myself fall like her "Damn" I said "these are comfetable" "TOLD YOU!" she cried. I looked out at the tall dark mountain in front of us "Whats that?" I asked her pointing to the mountain. "That Flo" DragonFire said pausing "is Sombras mountain!" I glanced at the mountain than the setting sun and finally at Dragon "I gotta go" I told her. "Okay" she said waving her hoof "see you around" her eyes were closed when she said this. I got up and started going down. The wind in my mane and the wetness of the clouds felt great against my fur I'd never felt anything like this! It was amazing! //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: Missing //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: Missing The night was cool and silent in Ponyville, never heard complete silence before, it was nice but the hum in my ears wouldn't stop.I went up on our balcony and let the breeze push my mane back another feeling I'd never felt before I closed my eyes and let the wind take me to my own world. When I opened my eyes I saw my parents..."Mum? dad?" I said stammering over words "but. but I thought you were dead!" "we are" my mother said "we are only a vision" "we're hear to warn you Flo" they both said. "About what!" I cried "Sombra" I gulped when they said that "he's out to get you" my mother said and than I was transported into a dream "Sombra wants you not the Princess he knows your stronger than any Alicorn who has ever lived." I saw myself on the mountain with Sombra I was thrown against a rock wall I tried getting up but failed I heard him laugh and cause the rock around me to fall, I was hanging on to a cliff my hooves digging into the hard rock trying to keep myself from falling I dug till my hooves drew blood the than Jordan came over and smiled at me "good-bye Fluorescent Beat" he laughed than dug a knife into each of my hooves I wailed with pain letting myself fall from the mountain. With a jolt I woke up my brother behind me, "Are you okay Flo?" he asked putting a hoof over me. "I'm fine" I told him "don't worry" I looked up at him and smiled. My brother was the only one who I knew would always be there for me "Chaos I have something to tell you," "Yes Flourescent?" "I love you" he stared at me when I said this I had never told my brother I loved him before "I might as well tell you when I can before something happens and I can't tell you anymore" he stared at me again this time he's eyes soft and calm. "I love you too Flo" he said pulling me close hes mane brushed against my cheek I let my head fall against he's neck and fell asleep. The warm morning sun awoke me from the deep sleep I was in. I looked around and was startled by the new surroundings good news was I wasn't on the roof anymore... I looked around again the silence was killing my ears and everything seemed....Odd. "Chaos!!!" I screamed. No answer. He's probably still asleep I thought I went downstairs and into hes room, hes bed perfectly made, not a single thing out of place "Okay Chaos not funny! Where are you!" my yell echoed threw out the house but came back unanswered.My heart began thudding in my chest never had I ever been alone in all my life! Maybe he's just out yes that must be it! I relaxed a little and decided to go out.. Something was off, way off.. everything seemed grey and cloudy. "Hey Flo!" DragonFire said zipping past me and landing softly next to me her flaming hair turning back into actual hair. "What's up?" she asked and so than I thought who cares if I break one vow? It must be done and so I told her everything she stared at me tears in her bright blue eyes "I know what it feels like to be alone" she forced herself to speak "my parents abandoned me when I was still a baby I never had any friends, family, no one just me and Flygon" at that moment a green lizard with wings came out of her cutiemark. "What in Celestia's name is that thing?" I asked. "This is Flygon he's a Pokemon and well he's been my only friend for 13 years raised him myself when he was just teeny tiny Trapinch" the lizard thing brushed itself against her face and she smiled. "Why did it come out of your flank?" she giggled "my CutieMark is a Pokeball which means I can keep one Pokemon in it. Jordan gave him to me 13 years ago" I stared "yea I got my cutiemark when I was 3 never cared much about those things 'till I was granted to be a Pokemon tranier!" she smiled at this and I smiled back. Maybe friendship wasn't so stupid and I just might need some comfort. I spent all morning with Dragon and became friends with her. We were on our way to the library when we bumped into Jordan. "Hey Pinkie and Crazy!" he said giggling Dragon glared at him "I'm just kidding Fire, chill" he rolled he's eyes than nudged me "careful she's got a fiery temper!" he than fell over laughing at he's own joke I stood there emotionless. "You're dumb" I told him he stopped laughing and looked up, "Watch it ol' chap" Jordan started laughing again making DragonFire's hair turn into fire,Jordan stopped laughing for a moment "Oh Dragon your on fire let me get that for you!" he stared smiling while Sean dumped a bucket of water onto her head drenching her the 2 Stallions burst into a laughing fit. "That wasn't very nice!" I turned to see the Pegasus from the Library trotting down the dirt road. "Quinn!" Dragon yelled. "Hey Dragon" Quinn said back smiling he's smile soon faded when he saw Jordan and Sean "as for you two!" he said Jordan stood up and walked over to Quinn pushing he's snout against Quinn's, "What are you gonna do Nerd?" he asked Quinn with a smirk Quinn backed away, "Stop acting like such a jerk." "Make me" Jordan pressured "No" Quinn said turning around "good day sir" and left. "So much class" I said. "Yeah Quinn is pretty classy!" Dragon grabbed my hoof "there's something I gotta show you" she smiled and squeezed my hoof. "Isn't it beautiful?" Dragon asked me we were sitting above a waterfall "the sound always calmed me down when I was upset" looked over at her and smiled "My brother though" I said looking down. "He'll be there when you come home" she reached over and put her hoof on my "don't worry" "He's the only one I have left" I felt my eyes burn "they're all gone" I started crying falling into my hooves "I made a vow I would kill Sombra and make him pay for what he's done!" I suddenly felt angry "I'm leaving" I said getting ready to fly "Don't leave!" Dragon called after me I pretended not to hear I was flapping fast tears of anger rolling down my cheeks soaking my fur. When I arrived back home the house was as the same as I left it. Choas's bed made and tidy "Choas?" I cried I refused to believe he had been taken. The sky flashed and rain started pouring I walked up to the roof the rain wetting my fur "CHOAS!" I screamed as loud as I could than collapsed crying. He was gone the only person I cared for. Gone. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a piece of metal I brought it towards me. Slowly. Painfully. I sliced my front legs cutting deeply. Blood coloring my white fur red. Dripping onto the the roof creating dark red puddles. I fainted. Her voice soften "I saw what you did to your hooves" she shook her head slightly, "you passed out from blood loss" I looked down at my hooves the white fur red patches of dried blood around me "it'll scar" she informed me "we may have gotten off on the wrong hoof, but please let us be friends you need support Flo" I glanced at her, "O..okay" I said trying to get up but failing. "Don't move just yet I'll be right back" she than flew off leaving me alone. I heard a knock at my door I forced my self to get up and walk down the stairs tripping at every step I opened the door and fell right into the colt. "Hey Princess you alright?" I looked up. Fog . My eyes were weak but I could make out he's hair. "Help me" I squeaked "please" he brought me up to my room and layed me down "stay" I said reaching out for him he glanced at me blue eyes darker and glassier, "I can't bear to see you like this Fluorescent Beat" he looked down when he said this "your fur isn't paper you shouldn't cut it" he came over and placed his snout against mine "I love you" Fog whispered to me. "I..." I began but he locked his lips onto mine and tangled his hoof in my mane "feel better Flo" he said letting go and walking out. 10 Minutes later though it felt like hours in bursted Orange Delight and a gray and pink Zebra "out of zis vay!" she yelled in a think German accent. "This is Dezmenta" Orange introduced her "Guten Tag!" she said bowing "anyvas! I must help you feel better!" Dezmenta said pulling out a bottle with purple goo in it "What this?" I asked alarmed. "This" she said holding the bottle up proudly "is a substance that'll help your cute heal fast scars vill remain but you vill feel better in no time!" I watched her pour the goo on her hoof "gimme first hoof" I obeyed and she rubbed the goo into my cuts "now the other very good!" she said proudly the feather in her hair flapping against her cheek. "Now these" Orange brought out 2 wristbands and placed them on my 2 front legs covering the scars I stared at them the colors, the fluff on the edges. "Thanks" I managed to choke, Orange cocked her head, "What's wrong?" she asked "Nothing" Dezmenta walked over to me and brushed my cheek with her hoof, "Tell me young Alicorn vhats 'rong?" I looked up at her my eyes burning; "My brother is gone" I let the tears fall soaking my fur for what seemed the millionth time. Dezmenta took my hoof and pulled me to my feet I was shocked at the strength of her. "Your really strong" I told her smiling, "Danke!" she said bowing my smile grew bigger Orange came over and hugged me. "It'll be okay in the end if its not okay it's not the end" "see you!" she cried flying out the balcony doors I watched her leave in the setting of the sun.. "Vell Flo I'm gonna go back to the Everfree Forest. Stay safe vould you?" she smiled at me and left threw the front door. I sat down in my bed and began reading a book, I must have fell asleep because when I woke up it was pitch black outside and the balcony doors were still open I walked onto the balcony and enjoyed the warm summer night just for a moment my eyes closed letting the breeze take my mane into its arms,its sound whispering to me. That relaxed feeling only lasted a minute because when I opened my eyes what I saw in the distance made my heart beat faster than my wings that time I raced my brother when I was only 4. 3 colors was all it took Red, Green and Purple. Sombra eyes.. I gulped "it's found me" I whispered. I ran into the house slamming the balcony doors shut and whipped the curtains closed. "It's found me" I huffed my heart feeling as if it was in my throat "Chaos" I whispered "where in Celestia's name are you?" I pulled the curtains open again and the eyes were right in front of me! I screamed and banged my head on a nearby shelf knocking me out for the 2nd time. I awoke 4 hours later to Fog Glow rubbing an ice pack on my head. "Hey" he said gently. I was startled "Hhow? What? Why? How did you get in here?" I manged, "Um well" he let me hold the ice pack "the door was locked but the balcony doors were wide open so well I flew!" I looked at him "The doors were o..open?" I said. "Yea?? They weren't before the bottle fell on your head?" "No I remember closing them and locking them" I struggled to my hooves and looked at the doors each door had not a single shard of glass left "it it tried to get to me" I pounded down the stairs, "Fluorescent! Where are we going!?" Fog shouted after me "Not we! ME!" I tripped and fell out the door ignoring the scrape on my leg I continued running leaving Fog in the dust "Oh okay?" he whispered to himself. "Isn't she a beauty?" Lyric heard someone behind him "Yea" then he turned around, "OH!" he gasped "Prince.. I um" "Don't struggle to find words Peasant" Colby spat he picked Fog up by he's scarf "bring me the Alicorn and no pony gets hurt!" Colby glared at him. "O..or else what!?" Fog said trying to put on a brave face , "Or else this" Colby turned on he's green red and purple eyes on, Fog gasped. Sombra eyes, and stared deep into Golds eyes. No one knows what he saw that day but one thing is for sure it frightened Lyric. "Well?" Colby asked Lyric swallowed "I'll do it" he whispered hoarsely. "LOUDER!" Colby shouted shaking the poor Pegasus this way and that, "I'LL DO IT!" Lyric screamed, "Good pony" he let Fog fall "have her tied up by Friday I'll be back to pick her up as soon as the sun is lowered, you better be there" Colby pushed he's snout against Fog's "Do svidaniya!" Colby said and walked off.
