King Sombra's valiant attempts to reclaim his empire was knocked away from success five years ago by princess Celestia and princess Luna. As his punishment, the former king found himself banished into a concealed force field in the depths of Everfree Forest. The princess' intentions were to keep him confined for the rest of eternity. However, Sombra's prison was nowhere near as foolproof as they initially thought.
