The Other Draconiquus - Story 3: A War Between Order and Chaos
The story so far:
When Twilight Sparkle was a unicorn filly, she was surprised when she had a time traveling draconiquus, who calls himself L, as a foal sitter one night. She was also surprised, when, he had come back several years later, when she was an alicorn princess, the day before her wedding. She very surprised when she found out that he was an alien from another world, who had aided princesses Celestia and Luna in turning the other draconiquus, Discord, to stone many millennia ago. She was even more surprised when she found out that he has come to the aid of Equestria uncountable times in times in which it needed him most to get through dangers in both past and future. It surprised her even more when her would-be husband was turned permanently into a changeling. It surprised her much more when she found out Queen Chrysalis was Princess Celestia's daughter. She was extremely surprised when L asked her to come with him to be his companion throughout his travels in time in space.
She had been through so many surprises, that when she found out what his blue box was like on the inside, surprise was no longer adequate, and she had to resort to astonishment.
"What do you think, Twilight? What's the first thing that comes to mind?"
She hesitated before saying, "It's bigger on the inside."
"That it is! Welcome to the Tardis, Twilight Sparkle. That's Time And Relative Dimension In Space. This ship is inspired by the time machine of a fictional character created on another planet by a member of a race of ape descended life forms, called homo sapiens, or humans. I loved saying that. It sounded so intelligent."
L walked up to the controls in the center of the room. Twilight stood drinking in her surroundings.
L waited a moment before asking, "So, Princess Twilight Sparkle, where and when would you like to go first?"
She waited a moment before responding. "There is somepony I'd very much like to go back and meet in person. I want to know what he was like."
"I think I can already guess who."
"Starswirl the Bearded."
"I thought so. Alright, Twilight. Here we go!"
He pulled a leaver, and the whole deck started shaking, and a loud vwoomp vwoomp vwoomp noise was heard, as the pistons in the middle chamber moved up and down. L began to flip other switches, turn dials, press buttons, completely at random. He even whacked the console with a hammer, and surprisingly didn't break it in the process. Twilight didn't dare to question his driving, since she knew she would have no idea whatsoever as to how to drive it herself.
Suddenly sparks emitted from above, as the cabin shook violently, and an alarm started blaring.
"NO NO NO NO NO NO!" L constantly repeated. He ran over to the monitor which was at the console.
"What's happening?" asked Twilight.
"Outside interference has hijacked our trajectory, altering our space-time coordinates."
"Where and when is it taking us?"
"I don't know! One minute a digit is a 9, next it's 3, then a 4, then a 7, then a 0, etc! If the coordinates keep changing so randomly like this, it could create a resonance cascade scenario!"
"What does that mean? What's a resonance cascade?"
"Basically, the Tardis goes into overload, and explo-"
After a bright flash and a loud bang, there was black silence.
"It's a small world after all.

It's a small world after all.
It's a small, small world."
L came to, having a terrible headache, and when he opened his eyes, he found himself staring at something he couldn't quite make out because it was pressed up against his face. He then realized he was face first into Twilight Sparkles behind staring right up her plot hole. He yelped in surprise, and jumped back nearly throwing himself out of the small boat.
Boat. Him and Twilight Sparkle were on a boat for no known reason. Unknown to him this was because reason was on a permanent holiday. How did they end up here in the first place? Last thing he remembered was that the Tardis exploded with both of them inside. And why was there such a familiar and annoying song playing in the background? Come to think of it, why were their surroundings familiar as well?
Twilight came to, groaned due to a massive headache, opened her eyes, and looked at her surroundings. "What... the... buck?" was all she could say.
"How are you feeling, Twilight?" L asked her, concerned.
"Like a military academy. Bits and pieces of me keep on passing out," she said in a voice that was not her own.
"Why are you quoting Arthur Dent in his voice?"
"I'm not quoting anypony in anypony else's voice," said Twilight. "I had asked you, 'L, do you have any idea where we are?' "
"Huh. I must be hearing things." He paused before saying, "I really hate to say this, but it looks and sounds like we're on the It's A Small World ride at Disneyland."
"Gee, I'm certainly glad you said that."
"Why?"
"I had read about this ride in a book while I was in the human world that one time. For a minute there, I thought I was going mad."
"Perhaps you are. Maybe you only thought I had said it. Just like I thought you were talking like a fictional character just now."
Twilight considered this for a moment.
"Well, did you say this seems like It's A Small World, or didn't you?"
"I think so. Hmm. Maybe we're both going mad."
"Yes, nice weather for it," said someone else.
"Who's that?" asked Twilight, in surprise.
"Who? The brontosaurus with the five legs and the three heads?" asked L.
"Yes."
"Dunno. Just some guy."
"Oh."
"You know, Twi, I have the nagging feeling that we're dead. After all, the last thing I remember is the Tardis exploding with us inside of it. I remember having this nightmare all the time when I was little. The world had come to an end while I was in school. All of my friends went to Heaven or Hell, and I was ended up riding It's A Small World for all of eternity."
"Terrific! And I promised every pony I would be back within a few minutes! Hang on. Celestia was saying that she met our future selves in her past before. If that's the case, how can we die before then? Logically, time must make this happen."
"Time can be rewritten."
"You know, if this is It's A Small World at Disneyland, there's something rather odd about it."
"Like how none of the anamatronic dolls resemble humans, but instead are Klingons and Doom monsters? Or how Scootaloo's cutie mark is in the sky instead of Celestia's sun. Yes I thought that was rather odd."
"Scootaloo doesn't have her cutie mark!"
"Not yet, she doesn't."
"Oh, right. Time travel."
"Sorry for the spoiler."
"Not like you ruined much. We're dead, remember."
"Oh, right."
"Well, I guess we're in for an eternity of being tortured by this annoying song. Do you think that we'll be hearing it for so long in the afterlife, that our reincarnations will have it stuck in their head for life, too?"
Twilight hesitated before answering. "I think that- AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!"
Whatever it was Twilight thought would forever remain unspoken, because suddenly their boat was falling down a huge waterfall into a dark black oblivion of nothingness. L and Twilight screamed as they fell.
Hours passed, and they were still falling, seemingly endlessly. L and Twilight had stopped screaming simply because they had gotten bored with it by then. Twilight began hearing some licking noises next to her. She looked at L and saw that he was eating a triple scoop cone of rocky road ice cream.
"Want some?" he offered.
"How can you be eating at a time like this?" she exclaimed.
"You know that tingling sensation you have in your stomach as your falling?"
"Yeah?"
"Well, it kind of went away after the first hour or so. The best part is, we're in a different gravity than one is used to on the ground. It's much easier to balance three scoops on top of each other, and as the ice cream melts, it doesn't run down your hands and get them sticky, but it instead flies upward away from you. Neat, huh?"
"I'd have some, but I'm afraid I'd be sick. Believe me, you don't want that flying upward."
"Probably not."
Suddenly, a small speck of light appeared in the distance, and it was getting larger as they were heading towards it. They soon realized that they were heading towards something very very fast and were definately going to collide into it and, if they weren't dead before, certainly die. They had began to panic again. L let go of his ice cream cone, and it flew upward splattered all over his face. He cried out, partly because of how cold it was, partly because they was only a moment away from impact.
"It was nice knowing you, Twilight!" he yelled.
"You, too, L!" she yelled back.
The boat fell out of the Tardis's front doors, which for some odd reason was positioned in the sky of a very chaotic planet, with the open doors facing downward. They fell through the sky, somehow still firmly seated on the boat. They closed their eyes, and braced themselves for impact with the checkerboard ground.
It never came.
They opened their eyes and saw that their boat had stopped suddenly halted in its momentum one foot above the ground. Twelve more inches and they would have both been dead. They sighed in relief, thanking Celestia for this miracle.
"Wait a minute!" exclaimed Twilight. "It doesn't work like that!"
Then suddenly, the boat crashed with strong force into the ground, but not nearly as much force as was built up earlier, sending L and Twilight flying out of the boat to the ground as well, just before what was left of the boat tipped over and landed on top of them.
"Thanks for the input, Purple Smart," said L, before they both passed out.
