Ammarie the little girl with scars on her face

A pale faced girl, awakening in fright.
Her home ablaze, fire struck.
Why was her home burning in the cool midnight air?
Because her father had no care.
He'd finally done it,
He'd killed the girl's mother,
her crimson blood pooling on the floor.
He was unaware,
in a drunk glare,
that he'd left one end untied.
He'd set fire to the home he'd sinned in,
forgetting the one small detail.
Now the girl runs for her life,
the scars that he gave her paining her sides.
Smoke enters her lungs,
her mind without reason
she lunges for her mother
Without daring to leave her.
It's too late for the girl
the town oh so loved,
she's accepted her death
Like any noble lady would.
Yet she is only 10,
she deserves not this fate
Somebody knows this,
somebody cares.
So now the girl,
who'd given up on her life,
is engulfed slowly
in a purple flash of light.
She grimaces as pain ensues,
she's lifted slowly up
without any clue.
She hears a small toy,
cry out from her room,
one she'd been given
from the shop keeper who now laid silently in his tomb.
It was of a pony,
from her most favorite of shows
and now this toy
says the lines her mother had given it,
back when she could speak
"Darling, I'll always love you."
The toy screeched,
before it's batteries let out a
metallic shriek.
The girl screamed,
for the first time overbeared by her pain.
She watched as her world
Glazed in bronze,
and she vanished with
her last screech
still echoing in the cool
midnight air.
The girl landed safely,
however much her heart hurt,
though now she was standing
on her own feeble toes.
She was surrounded by ponies,
She would say she was dreaming,
but her pain still clung
to her heart without care
As she chokes out the words
"Don't hurt me"
