A great tragedy strikes the family of Twilight Sparkle, and by extension the entire royal family of Equestria. Stricken by grief and confident in her near-limitless power and understanding of magic, she sets out to make the world right again. Unfortunately, even dire warnings from wise sources can be drowned out by the entropy of despair and sadness.
