After several meteors strike the land across Equestria, the dust from the impacts has blotted out the Sun. Temperatures constantly fall lower and lower, and relentless blizzards pop up with increasing strength and size. The Royal Guard has been spread thin across the frozen wasteland that once was Equestria, and stranded ponies struggle to fend for themselves in a lawless world where survival of the fittest is no longer just a phrase, but a way of life. As tensions grow between the remnants of the Royal Guard and a new, heavily armed group of rebels known only as "Heat," something big is looming on the horizon. In the midst of these rising tensions, one mare and her squad could tip the balance of it all.
