Make way for the Human... Alicorn?

By TheBro

I have no idea where I am or how I got here, but I will tell you ... I hate this place all ready. Sorry, let me introduce myself, I am Daniel Curry. I just turned 21 and had just gotten home from the party that was thrown by my friends. It wasn't a big party and only one friend past out being wasted. Not to bore you all with what happened but at the end of the party I started getting a headache and decided to go home to sleep it off. Well walking through the door the pain just got worse and it felt like it was spreading. It started on my forehead and to my back right down to the tail bone.

Now it wasn't just a small pain, this was " OH MY GOD, IT FEELS LIKE I JUST GOT SHOT BY A SHOT GUN” pain. Wanting it to stop I make my way to the kitchen to get some medicine until I tripped on what I thought was the broom. “Ow, of all the things I trip on here I had to trip on the… branch?” Looking behind me I saw what looked like a branch. I then look around me to relies I’m not in the kitchen anymore. Actually, I’m not in my house at all.

Pinching my arm and biting my finger really hard, I realize I’m not dreaming. “Well, this couldn’t get any worse can it?” Before I could realize that I just said the stupidest thing in a situation like this, the pain came right back, only worse. Now being a man I have no idea what it’s like giving birth, but if I had to take a guess… uh, I would have to say this was close to what it felt like. All three spots were making scream from pain. What made it even more different was a strange liquid coming from my forehead. I could also feel it run down my back. The extreme pain was so terrible; tears were running down my face and the screaming I started doing stopped, mostly because the pain was too much for screaming.

The pain seemed to last for what seemed like hours. When it finally ended I decided to see what the liquid on my face was. I didn’t want to see, but my mind wouldn’t leave me alone unless I checked. After wiping my hand over my face, I could see the liquid was red and could smell an order like iron. Realizing that it was blood on my face, I felt up my face to see why my head was bleeding. Maybe it was from the fall, or something. When I started feeling my face, I trailed up to find something in my forehead.

At first I thought (and prayed) it was just a stick in the skin. So when I grabbed it, something felt…strange. When I tugged at it, it felt like it was attached to my skull. When I stood up I felt added weight on my back. I turned my head as far as I could to see what was there. What I saw shocked the life out of me. When I reached my hand to grab the strange things on my back, I heard a bone chilling growl. Slowly, I turned to see a couple pairs of hungry yellow eyes staring right at me. “Good doggies, nice doggies.” I said trying to stay calm. It didn’t. The creatures then stepped out of the dark area into the moon light, and that is where my whole body went cold. They looked like wolves, but for some reason, made of wood.

‘Well so much for trying to get a stick and play fetch with it.’ I thought to myself as the wolves drew closer. While keeping a safe distance from these things, I looked around to find something to defend myself if they choose to attack. Luckily I found a very blunt stick. I might not have learned any martial arts with weapons, but swinging a blunt stick is basic human 101. When I held it firm in my hands the lead wolf jumped at me. Not hesitating, I swung right at the beast with all my might. I made contact, shattering it to pieces. Before I could celebrate, the wolf reassembled itself right behind me and bit down on my right ankle. Screaming in pain I slammed the stick in the wolf’s head shattering it again, but not before 2 more attacked, biting down on the new objects on my back. Screaming in pain again, I realized the objects on my back were attached, I was forced on my hands and knees by these monsters. The first wolf that attacked me walked right in front of me, staring at me with death in its eyes. The only thing running through my mind right now is how my life ends, on my birthday, in a strange forest, by a bunch of twigs. Not to mention with some strange objects sticking out of my head, back and tail bone. Seeing it about to strike, tears are flowing out of my eyes because the thought of my friends and family were running through it more and more. I could see my parents crying after being told how I was found in some woods, eaten by animals. My older siblings upset for not taking care of their little bro. My niece crying for the loss of her uncle. All my friends unhappy that I’m not there to brighten up their day. Those images just kept running through my mind until my body fell right to the ground from blood loss which also cased my vision to become blurry.

Using what strength I had left, I lifted my head to see the wolf getting closer and closer until it pounced at me. I closed my eyes not wanting to see the wolf tear me to shreds. I imagined hearing my bones snapping between their teeth, until I heard one of them yelp. Slowly opening my eyes, I saw five figures running towards me. When I glazed to the left I saw another figure hog tying the first wolf. Eyesight still fading the six figures take care of the wolves easily as I heard them running away yelping. One of the figures rushed to my side and laid my head on its lap. Hearing its voice I recognized it as a young woman, roughly around my age. “Are you ok?”

“Of course he’s not ok, egghead.” Another on said, sounded like a tomboyish girl.

Egghead, as I know of for now, placed her hand on my chest. I heard a strange sound coming from her, but my sight is now gone, but still conscious.

I placed my hand on her hand, hearing her squeak from surprise. “Please,” I said in a loud whisper, feeling tears rushing from my eyes, “I don’t want to die.”

Feeling her hand now grasps mine she said in a sweet voice, “Hang on, we’ll get to the hospital right away.” After hearing that, I’m out cold.
