You're Still A Bat Pony?... That's Awesome!

“Thanks for letting us stay at your house to write the journal entry.” Twilight said to Fluttershy as she magically opened the front door of the cottage. Everyone else had already left once they wrote what they had learned from the vampire fruit bat incident, but Twilight and Spike stuck around a little longer.

“Oh, it was no problem.” Fluttershy said in a quiet, yet elegant voice.  Twilight gave one last smile before she walked out with Spike.

As soon as the door had closed, Fluttershy dived for the apple Pinkie had left on the ground and immediately sucked it dry with her tiny fangs. Fluttershy gave a pleasurable sigh of relief, but then froze with fear as she stared at the dry apple; and she started to realize what she had just done.

Fluttershy gave a rather loud scream as she jumped a few feet back. “Wha-“ Fluttershy said in disbelief as she continued to stare at the apple with horror. “Why would I do that!” Fluttershy said in a panicked tone. She then walked over to a mirror on her wall and opened her mouth, and then proceeded to give another loud scream as she saw her tiny fangs. “Why do I still have fangs! Why do I still have a craving for fruit! I thought Twilight spell had worked!”  Fluttershy started to sweat as she nervously paced around the room.

After a few minutes of nervousness, Fluttershy eventually stopped and closed her eyes.

“Okay Fluttershy, calm down. Maybe this bat thing will wear off soon. I just need to be calm and collected.” She then opened her eyes to see Angel bunny stomping his foot impatiently in front of her.

“Oh, you’re right Angel, I need to feed you.” Fluttershy said as she walked into her kitchen. She then opened her pantry to find it completely deprived of any food.

“Oh yeah, that’s right. I was going to buy food, but I couldn’t when Applejack called us all to her farm.” She then closed the pantry and turned to Angel, who was still looking at Fluttershy with an annoyed expression. “I’ll go get you some food right now!”  Fluttershy said as she walked over to her closet, put on a saddle bag, and walked out. Fluttershy looked up at the sky, and saw it was still a beautiful day. She then unfolded her wings, and flew into the air towards the market area.

After a few minutes, Fluttershy eventually arrived at the marketplace. She then slowed down and came to a gentle stop in front of the stand that sold Angel’s favorite carrots. She walked up to counter and was about to say something, but then stopped as something bright red and shiny caught her eye. It was a juicy apple all the way from Appleloosa. She lifted her hoof up and was about to grab the juicy delight until she heard a familiar voice call her name.

“Fluttershy!” Rainbow Dash said as she trotted up to her friend.

“Oh, hi Rainbow.” Fluttershy said as she quickly turned away from the apple

“What are you doing here?” Rainbow curiously asked.

“Oh, I was just picking up some food for Angel.” Fluttershy responded. As she said this, a pony with a saddle bag filled with various fruit passed by which made Fluttershy’s jaw drop and she started to stare longingly at the delectable fruit.

“Uh, Flutters?” Rainbow said as she moved in front of Fluttershy, which broke her gaze on the fruit. She then shook her head, and turned away from the hypnotizing fruit. “You okay?” Rainbow asked, which made Fluttershy start to blush a strong violet. Rainbow then turned her head to see the fruit Fluttershy was staring at. She turned back to Fluttershy and looked at her suspiciously. “You seem to be taking quite a large liking to that fruit.” Rainbow said suspiciously, which made Fluttershy blush even more.

Then out of nowhere, Rainbow grabbed Fluttershy’s jaw and pried it open to see Fluttershy small fangs, and Rainbow’s jaw dropped.

“Wait Rainbow, I can explain.” Fluttershy said after Rainbow took away her hoofs.

“You’re still a Bat pony… That’s awesome!” Rainbow exclaimed.

“Wait…” Fluttershy said in a confused tone. “How is this a good thing?” She asked.

“Because you get to keep those awesome teeth!” Rainbow said in excitement. But as she said this, she realized how loud they were, and just about everyone in the marketplace was staring at them.

“How about we go to my place.” Rainbow whispered to Fluttershy, who then gave a nod and the two flew off toward Rainbow’s cloud mansion.

After a few minutes a flying, the two reached Rainbow’s house, and they went inside. Fluttershy closed the door behind them, and then turned around to see Rainbow smiling face.

“This is so awesome!” Rainbow said with glee. “Just think about it, if I have awesome teeth like that, it’ll definitely attract the attention of the wonder bolts, and they will make me the captain for sure!” Rainbow said with a huge smile and Fluttershy looked at her with a skeptical expression.

“That’s really great, but how will you get these horrid teeth?” Fluttershy asked.

“Well…” Rainbow said as she put a hoof to her chin. “I was thinking; if you bite me on the neck, I’ll become a bat pony too!” Rainbow said with a smile.

Fluttershy eye grew twice their normal size after Rainbow said this. “Oh no, I would never do that.” Fluttershy said as she started to back up.

“Please?!” Rainbow asked again, still with her huge smile.

“I-I Couldn’t.” Fluttershy said as she continued to back up, which lead her out the front door.

“Come on! It’ll take like two seconds.” Rainbow said in a pleading voice.

“No!” Fluttershy said finally as she spun around and flew off. But Rainbow wouldn’t give up that easily, and she took off behind Fluttershy.

“Come on!” Rainbow called to Fluttershy as they flew.

“No!” Fluttershy said as she dived down towards Twilight’s treehouse.

Fluttershy then came to a landing and burst through the front door of the library, and Rainbow came in right behind her.

When they came through the front door, they were surprised to see Applejack, Rarity and Pinkie there with Twilight.

Fluttershy then ran toward Applejack and hid behind her.

“What’s going on here?” Applejack asked Rainbow and Fluttershy.

“Fluttershy won’t give me her awesome bat pony powers!” Rainbow whined.

“Wait, you’re still a bat pony?” Rarity said in shock, and Fluttershy gave a nervous smile which exposed her tiny fangs. They all gave gasps of shock as they stared at Fluttershy.

“Are you still attracted to apples?” Twilight asked.

“I think so…” Fluttershy responded.

“Well then we must do the spell again.” Twilight said as she walked over to Fluttershy and Rainbow gave a sigh of disappointment. Twilight then got into position in front of Fluttershy.

“You ready?” Twilight asked Fluttershy, and she gave a small nod. Then Twilight closed her eyes and shot a magical beam shot out of her horn at Fluttershy, which soon consumed her with light. Then after a few seconds it exploded with spectacular light and Fluttershy was lowered back onto the ground. She slowly opened her eyes and they all huddled around her.

“Well, did it work?” Applejack asked, as Fluttershy got to her feet. She then opened her mouth to see that the fangs had indeed subsided, and Fluttershy was completely normal again. They all gave sighs of relief that the spell was a success, and Fluttershy gave a small smile; but then the door opened and spike came in with a quite tasty looking apple in his hand. Fluttershy gave a sigh of relief that she felt no need to eat the apple. But when she looked at her friends, she saw that all of them were staring at the apple with awe.

“Oh no.” Fluttershy said as they all dived for the single apple.
