Chapters Chapter 2 "Baby AJ"
My Little AJ
At about 2:30 p.m., Austin and I finished decorating Applejack's nursery, and it turned out very apple themed, with my own touch, and Austin's touch as well! Applejack seemed to enjoy her new room, and she grew to love Austin and I. We played with her to keep her occupied, she wasn't, uh, toilet trained unfortunately, so she had to wear diapers. I've had worse to do, and after a while it didn't bother me too bad. She all the sudden started crying, she hasn't had a bottle yet today, and I assumed she was hungry, so I decided to fix her up a bottle of milk. I picked her up, and tried to give the bottle to her, she took a sip or two, but then spat it out. I looked at the bottle, then at her. I realized that maybe she'd prefer apple juice instead, so I tried that.
Sure enough, she took the bottle and drank up two whole bottles ! I looked back on the season 3 episode 8: "Apple Family Reunion" on her filly flashback, and Granny Smith was definitely right, she did have the appetite of a full-grown stallion! Austin laughed when he made that episode reference. I laughed along as we carried her to her crib, and we laid her down. She fell asleep before I had the chance to sing the lullaby. Austin and I could finally get some sleep, it was already 10:30 at night, and she seemed perfectly content.
Unfortunately, Austin and I awake to Applejack's cry, it was 2:30 a.m., and I was the first to get out of bed, Applejack was crying and she looked as if she needed someone to keep her company. I tend to shuffle around a lot in my sleep, so I felt that it wouldn't be too safe for her to sleep with Austin and I, so I go back into my room, when Austin asks "What's wrong? Is AJ okay?" I nod and pull out one of my old stuffed animals, it was my old stuffed lamb.
"She just needs something to sleep with," I said, and carried the plushie to Applejack's crib. Applejack finally calmed down and reached up to the plushie, and I bent down a little more so she could grasp it, and she hugged it. As many times as you've probably heard the meme, well, you're going to hear it again: My heart exploded twice! It was so adorable and she fell asleep when I hummed "Children of the Night". I turned the light back off, and left the door open, and I fell back asleep.
The next morning, Austin had AJ covered and I didn't have to worry about anything except for making some breakfast, and my morning specialty was homemade chocolate chip pancakes and some bacon. Austin had already fed Applejack and she was content, so I put her on the couch, and turned on the television to view, what I was surprised was still airing, "Chopped" on Food Network. They were on the dessert round, and one of the ingredients was apples! I sat back down at the table and ate a few pieces of bacon when Austin asked me.
"When are we going to tell Applejack about, 'My Little Pony'?" My eyes widened as I swallowed my bacon. I looked at him and responded as I glanced at the entertained orange baby pony.
"When the time is right, and besides, if she's anything like me, she'd take it easy!". Austin gave me the look he gives his best buddy Alex when he calls him something he doesn't like to be called. I rolled my eyes playfully and continued with my breakfast.
After I rinsed off the plates, Applejack cried. I picked her up and held her close. She has never had a bath before, but it was time for just that. As I sat her in the tub, she splashed Austin and I and we both laughed. I had this old rubber ducky that I kept just in case we ever had a baby, and I guess this counted, so I tossed it in the tub, and AJ had so much fun! Austin played with her and I tried to wash her mane, but everytime Austin moved his hands away, she kept trying to pry my hand off of her head. She obviously didn't like baths, but she had to take them, like it or not!
After her bath, Austin and I found ourselves playing with her on our bed, enjoying every bit of it! I love Applejack, and even though Austin's favorite pony was Rainbow Dash, he loved her, too.
My Little AJ
It was about 3:30 p.m. when I started my research on Applejack. I read that she as a baby in fact did prefer apple juice over milk, I honestly don't know why I even attempted to give her milk in the first place, but I pushed that aside. I remember that in "My Little Dashie", Rainbow Dash had to leave when she turned 15 years of age, but when I glanced back at the television, Austin was watching My Little Pony, and Applejack was asleep in her crib back upstairs, the series was still airing, it was on season 17 already, and Applejack was still in numerous episodes. That was what troubled me the most.
When I was a child, I knew about this psychic deal on my mother's side of the family. I gave up on those studies so I could actually pass grade school, if I hadn't looked in my old spell-book, I wouldn't have found a possible reason that Applejack was here, and was a baby. It read that this particular spell was to teleport to an alternate universe. But that didn't explain why the heck she was a baby. The episodes finally ended and Austin got up from the couch, and went upstairs to check on Applejack, and she was asleep.
I turned off the computer and thought about what Rob suggested in "My Little Dashie" as to how Rainbow Dash's age was alternated when she came. The spell must have a side affect of some sort, it must've been weak, so it would naturally have a bug in it, so I went with that. I joined Austin in Applejack's doorway, and I whispered.
"She's so peaceful, I'm glad she came here,". Austin looked me in the eyes, and kissed me. That was his way of agreeing with me when he didn't feel like talking. That was when his phone went off, and Applejack awoke. Before she started to cry, I went over to her and picked her up. We had found her yesterday, July 2nd, only a month after my 22nd birthday, and tomorrow was the fourth of July, which meant that Austin and I was going to go to town square to watch public fireworks, like we did when were engaged. I wasn't going to call for a babysitter for AJ, and I asked Austin if he had a jacket big enough to hide her. She wasn't getting taller, she was getting wider due to how much apple juice I fed her daily.
At about 7:30 p.m., we had finished dinner and I found myself walking around the block, with Austin by my side, and Applejack was wrapped in my hoodie. Applejack loved to see the nature, and it was fairly light out, Austin had his arm wrapped around me as we turned around and started walking home. We passed an apple tree in a small suburb park, and Applejack looked at it, and then started crying. I stopped in front of the tree, Austin took AJ out of my arms, and held her so I could pick a small apple for her. She giggled as she gummed on the apple.
As we entered the living room, Applejack knew what time it was, bath time. She jumped out of my arms and galloped upstairs. I laid my hoodie and the apple she was chewing on down on the couch. Austin and I followed her upstairs as we both searched for her. After a few minutes, I heard Austin whisper-shout, "Jade, over here!". I followed his voice, and I found him pointing under our bed, her tail was sticking out, I giggle and Austin grabbed her out from under the bed. She started to squirm as we walked toward the bathroom. As I filled up the tub with some warm water and a little bit of bubbles, then, Applejack calmed down when I pulled out her ducky.
When the bath tub was ready, Austin released the filly into the water. She started splashing and then, when I pulled out the green apple scented shampoo, she tried to climb out of the tub. Austin started to play with her as I washed her mane, and as long as he kept his hands on her, she wouldn't resist me washing her mane.
After her bath, Applejack jumped out of my arms when I picked her up out of the bath tub, She galloped all over the upstairs, but Austin caught up to her and I dried her off. She yawned and I carried her to her crib. Austin has never dealt with a baby this age, more the less a filly , for that matter. When we entered AJ's nursery, she rested her head on my arm, I laid her down, and, by the expression on his face, Austin's heart exploded twice! Mine did as well, and AJ's little breaths just made my heart beat faster. Austin and I just covered her up with a small blanket, and exited the nursery. As I turned the light off, Austin whispered to me.
"How long do you think we'll have her?". I bit my lip, and a sigh came back out.
"As long as we can, I suppose," I sighed. As we entered our room, I sat on the edge of the bed, wishing that we could keep Applejack, but Austin knew as well as I did, we can't keep her forever.
Chapter 4 "Apples are Heaven"
My Little AJ
The next morning, Applejack surprisingly didn't cry, she calmly awoke as I picked her up. I walked downstairs to get a bottle for her, and Austin texted me "Happy Fourth of July!". I smiled and could only think about later tonight, how Applejack would be wrapped up in my hoodie, how she'd see the beautiful night sky, littered with firecrackers exploding, making the dark, light.
As Austin came downstairs, Applejack was still sipping on her bottle, when he asks, "Where is that apple you gave her yesterday?". I looked over to the fridge, and he nodded. Applejack finished the bottle, and she starts to squirm around, and she fell asleep, nestled up against my body. I could always keep her warm, mainly due to my unusually warm body, the only time I could get cold was the surface of my skin, unless it was frostbite temperatures. Austin was on the laptop, researching a little more on Applejack, when he saw something that just, broke his heart.
"Jade, I'm glad we found Applejack, look..." He said, with a frown. The only times he frowned is when something horrible happened, and this, this was mortifying! "Applejack's parents, her birth parents, they're, dead." He added. A tear ran down my cheek. Knowing that her parents were dead, but it explains why she lives with Granny Smith. I was glad we found her, but, how long could I nurse her to health? How long will Austin and I get to keep her?
It was 8:00 p.m., it was dark, and I found myself sitting on the park bench, Austin by my side, and Applejack sitting between us, she liked all of the beautiful lights. We saw Emily and Jay at the firework show, and we asked if they wanted to come over after the firework show. They accepted and an hour after the firework show, we were on our way back to mine and Austin's house, when, we walked in on a burglary.
"I want, the pony!" The stranger said. I was glad Emily and Jay was there, or else, the police wouldn't have came, because I tried to call them, but the burglar smacked my phone out of my hands. Applejack was whining in the car, as I glanced behind me, I could see her trying to squirm out of Emily's arms, but it was hopeless. The orange pony was about to cry, but Jay and Emily had to keep her down so the burglar wouldn't spot her.
"We don't have a pony, so screw off," Austin said, growling in his voice. I backed up a few steps, Austin was getting ticked off, and Applejack was in the car, whimpering, and I just wanted to hug her and tell her everything was okay, but, I couldn't give her away. I turned around literally for a second, when I heard the sound of a punch, and then, I realized, Austin had punched the guy. Now, a fight was coming, and Emily had told me the police would be here soon.
Crap! I thought. Panicky, I tried to calm Applejack down by going over to the car and holding her for only a minute, but I also had to keep Austin from beating the crap out of that guy. Just then, the police arrived, as I pulled Austin off of the burglar, the police cuffed the guy, and told me that they've been trying to get this guy for weeks. Says he's looking for a pony . That was when my heart sank, what if he was looking for AJ? Austin's corner of his lip was bleeding, but the burglar had a black eye, and a bloody nose. After the police left, Emily and Jay got out of the car, and Jay handed Applejack over to Austin. I hugged Emily, and being my sister, she hugged back. After I let go, I saw Austin cradling AJ in his arms. The adorable sight drove my heart to explode. An hour later, I found myself lying in bed, wondering why would someone want Applejack?
Chapter 5 "More Apple Fritter"
My Little AJ
If you told Austin and I that a baby Applejack was in an abandoned building in the middle of LA, we'd probably ask you if you had been drinking. It's hard to believe it has almost been a year since we found Applejack. I've been teaching her how to talk, and Austin has helped her learn how to write. The writing was a failure attempt, granted she threw the pencil across the room. I remember the "Apple Family Reunion" episode, and she said "I'm Applejack, more apple fritter,", and I wanted to test if she actually liked apple fritters in my world, and she ate the whole plate, and that was when she said it.
"More apple fritter," Austin picked her up, and carried her over to the couch and they watched, what seemed entertaining to her, Animal Planet's "Untamed and Uncut" because of a rodeo incident. Austin covered her eyes whenever it got too brutal, but what she had said, it was so cute! It was almost Thanksgiving, and I couldn't take her to my parents' house, they'd think I've lost it! So I just told them that Austin was sick and couldn't go. We had to spend Thanksgiving here at home, just so Applejack wouldn't get experimented on. Only Ella (Austin's sister), Emily, Kiya (my other sister), Jay, Alex C. and Alex W. knew about AJ, and Austin and I intended to keep it that way, but that burglar, my god, how...how did he know?
That night, Applejack was playing with my car keys, and I just had to get it on video, so I pulled my phone out and started filming it. It was adorable, and Austin soon joined and played along with her. But after half an hour, Applejack fell asleep. "That , my love, is what I call a video!" I laughed. Austin rolled his eyes playfully and laid Applejack down in her crib.
"Don't put it on YouTube, people will think-" I cut him off with a reasonable explanation if someone actually thought that the Applejack was real.
"That it's photoshopped," Austin nodded his head and we both went into our room. As I slipped on my pajama shirt, Austin was laying on the bed, just looking toward the ceiling, when I laid down on him, head turned to face my side of the bed. "You okay, babe? You haven't talked much since we played with AJ," I pointed out. Austin started gently stroking my head, with the other hand on my back.
"I'm fine, just worried about Applejack," I turned my head to face upward. He glanced down at my face. "God you're warm!" He laughed, casually changing the subject. I laughed and started to drift off to sleep, when I said.
"Don't worry, we'll protect Applejack...". He looked down at me, my head facing my side of the bed again. He smiled and continued stroking my head. He couldn't stop thinking about how AJ is so close to getting exposed, just like how I couldn't help but worry about how the guy knew about her.
The next morning, at about 7:05 a.m., I heard Applejack shout two words, two particular words that made my heart, you guessed it, explode, and Austin, well, I think his just pounded, because I could hear his own heartbeat! She had shouted: "Mama, Dada!" My eyes widened, and Austin had already stood up. As I walked into her nursery, she repeated herself, "Mama, Dada!". I had never heard her call us her Mama and Dada. My god...I went over to her crib and said soothingly.
"Hush, Mama and Dada is here,". I picked her up and carried her over to where Austin was standing. As I held her, Austin came a little closer, and wrapped his arms around my body, leaving room for Applejack to lay in my arms, between Austin and I. She reached a hoof up, and Austin and I smiled. As her little mouth curved into a smile, I raised her up to chest level, and Austin held one of her hooves, she giggled and reached over to Austin, her body leaned toward him, and I let him hold her. Applejack looked Austin in his light blue eyes, and snuggled up to him. His heart exploded when he said.
"Aww!". I smiled and came up behind him, and rested my head on his shoulder, with my arms around his chest. Applejack had fallen asleep. As he laid her back down, I quoted in memory.
"Ya know, you haven't said 'Aww' since you met Maddox," I said. Austin turned to face me and he responded, picking me up, as I wrapped my legs around his small body.
"Yeah, and you haven't hugged me like this since we were in the 8th grade!". I laughed and we just went back to sleep for another two hours. At about 9:05 a.m., Applejack was crying again, and Austin and I went to get her. As I picked her up, I heard her little stomach growl, and I asked Austin to get me her bottle. After he came back with her bottle, she started reaching to Austin. She whimpered a few times and then Austin walked over, and gave her her bottle. She sipped on it and I sat down on the chair in her nursery. Austin kissed me on the cheek, and kissed Applejack on the forehead. Then he said he had to go to work, so he left after about 30 minutes of getting ready. As Applejack laid there in my arms, I realized, time was going too fast. Soon enough, Austin and I would have to figure out why and/or how she got here.
Chapter 6 "Keep your Word"
My Little AJ
At about 2:30 this afternoon, Applejack was playing with my car keys again when she said, "Dada!". I looked at her and said.
"He's not here, he'll be back soon, though,". Applejack looked sad, and was about to cry. I quickly picked her up and sat down in the chair in her nursery. I could only pray that the manager would let Austin go early. I think the reason Applejack is more attached to Austin is because he spends more time with her, but I told our manager (he went into something similar to what I went into in college) that I was on "maternity leave". It counted, after all, Applejack is a baby.
After an hour of trying to keep AJ happy, Austin finally came home, I went downstairs and said, "He's home!". I couldn't even listen to myself, I haven't "baby talked" since Callie (my niece) was born! Austin rolled his eyes playfully and asked me.
"Did Applejack miss me?". I smiled and let him hold her. Applejack was finally smiling again, and I had never seen Austin so happy as well. I looked at him and said.
"She's not the only one that missed you!" He smiled and responded alluringly.
"I'll make up for the lost time,". I blushed and smiled. We went upstairs, and as I stood in Applejack's doorway, I told Austin what she had said. He smiled and kissed AJ on the forehead. I could picture why she called us her Mama and Dada, but I just couldn't listen to myself when I "baby talked". I couldn't believe what I heard him whisper to the baby filly. "Mama and I promise to keep you safe,". I felt myself smile as he turned to face me. "Please don't tell me you heard that!" He prayed. I nodded and he just rolled his eyes playfully. As we went into the bedroom, I just flopped on the bed.
"You have no idea how much I had to do while you were gone!" I said. Austin raised an eyebrow and lied down on the bed. I rolled over on my stomach, and drew closer to Austin. He smiled and just pulled me close! What Austin had whispered to AJ only moments ago, it just made me want to hold her and never let go. As Austin held me close, I could feel his body heat seep through my shirt, and then, that was when I caught on to it. Make up for lost time?! Is he going to... I asked myself. Austin looked me in my royal blue eyes when he said alluringly.
"I'll make up for the time, don't worry,". I could feel my heart pound because of how his words buried deep in my mind. At about 11:11 p.m., Applejack was asleep, and Austin had taken off his shirt. It was normal for him to do that, and he was just laying down on the bed, head facing the ceiling. I thought this was just going to be a normal night where we talked until we fell asleep, but I underestimated his positioning. When I climbed into bed, he immediately pulled me close to him when he whispered "Let's make up for the time!". I blushed and we just kissed for a second, then we hugged. The rest is just a blacked out blur.
When I woke up, I found myself lying atop Austin, like I was night before last, when I was wondering why he wasn't conversing so much. My shirt was on, and Austin was looking the way he did when we went to bed. When I got up, I noticed that my hair was a mess! I went to go check on AJ, but I felt so nauseous, I had to get Austin to get her up. When I came back, I realized that I was really hungry, so I couldn't help but eat so much breakfast! Austin had Applejack in his arms when he suggested.
"Maybe you should go to the doctor," I looked at him and raised an eyebrow, I knew what he was thinking, and there was a possibility. After he said that, I pulled out my phone, and called Dr. Gonzalez. He said he could squeeze me in at 3:00 p.m.. I said it was a good time and hung up. "So what'd he say, Jade?" Austin asked me. I bit my lip and responded.
"At 3 o' clock later this afternoon,". Austin nodded and started giving Applejack her bottle. I had a headache, so I went back to bed. I couldn't stop asking myself, Am I pregnant? .
Chapter 7 "A Little Surprise"
My Little AJ
At about 3:00 p.m., I found myself sitting in the waiting room of the doctor's office, when they finally called my name. "Jade, Dr. Gonzalez will see you now," the nurse called. I got up and walked over to the room they said I had to wait in. After 10 minutes, he finally entered the room.
"Ah, Jade! What seems to be the trouble?" He asked me. I couldn't find the words to come out easily, so I just said.
"I believe I might be expecting,". Dr. Gonzalez nodded and said that I'd have to take some tests, and after 15 minutes of tests, the results, I couldn't bare to hear.
"Congratulations! You are pregnant," Dr. Gonzalez announced. My eyes widened, I let out a deep sigh. It was bad enough that the suspense of Applejack being here left me flustered beyond belief, but now me being pregnant ?! I couldn't see that going too well.
"Thank you, Dr. Gonzalez," I sighed. As I drove home, I could only think about how Austin was going to react. I know he didn't mean to get me pregnant, I'm sure he just wanted to make me feel good, and happy. But it all went downhill, now, Applejack is going to be a potential big sister, again .
When I came home, Austin came up to me, and asked me how it went. I asked him to sit down. "Are you okay?" He asked. I bit my lip, and a sigh came back out.
"How calm are you?"
"Pretty calm, why?"
"Uh...I'm...kinda..."
"Kinda what?"
"Pregnant,"
The minute that word left my mouth, he didn't say a word, all he did was get up, wrap his arms around me, and French kissed me. After he let go, I had the taste of raspberry icebreakers duo in my mouth, and he just smiled. "You know I didn't mean to get you pregnant, I just wanted to make you feel happy," He said, his forehead pressing against mine. I smiled and replied.
"Lets go check on AJ,". Austin agreed and we both went upstairs. Just as we walked into her nursery, she reached up as I bent down in her crib to pick her up, she said.
"Mama, Dada," I smiled and Austin just came over to where I was standing, and did the same thing he did when she first said that. Yet this time, he couldn't stop thinking about how I was pregnant. I felt the baby move in my stomach, and Applejack heard it, due to her being held at my stomach level. She looked up at me with a frown, and Austin just took her out of my arms.
"She's gonna have to adapt to the sound of the baby," He said. carrying Applejack back to her crib. She couldn't understand why my stomach did that, quite frankly, she won't even understand how my stomach made that sound until she's older.
I cannot believe we've had Applejack for 7 months now! Austin and I are both dumbfounded, and I'm 2 months pregnant with our baby. I just can't believe that soon, Applejack might be a sister to a human ! Now, it is January, not cold at all outside, and Applejack is just enjoying her life living with Austin and I. I only have a little bump, but because I'm a well know actress, and Austin is my well known husband, we are the talk of LA, heck, we're in magazines! "OMG!" articles talk about my pregnancy, and it makes me just want to throw my acting out, and move more family back in. But I can't do that.
One night, Applejack was laying in bed with Austin and I when I finally told her that she was going to be a big sister. The best part is that she can partially communicate with Austin and I now, and its getting easier for her to tell us what she needs and wants. She has finally started to cut teeth, and sometimes Austin and I find ourselves up at night, calming her down because it hurts when they are coming in. She asked me how it happened, but I told her that is going to have to wait for a while. She had a baffled look, and just laughed.
Austin and I were up at about 2:30 a.m., when I was holding AJ, I felt the baby move once again. Austin took care of AJ for another 15 minutes, due to my morning sickness. Applejack finally fell asleep, and Austin went back to sleep, when I climbed into bed, I could only hope that things turn out okay.
Chapter 8 "Oh How Time Goes"
My Little AJ
At about 9:30 a.m., I woke up to Applejack shouting "Mama!". That was the first time I heard her ever shout "Mama" without "Dada" added to it! I got up, but the baby didn't want me to and it moved around. "MAMA!" She screamed. I ignored my stomach and went into Applejack's nursery.
"What is it, AJ?" I asked her. She looked at me with those little green eyes, I knew what was wrong, and I picked her up, and carried her downstairs. She was only 7 months old, so her eyes haven't fully shaped yet, and she was still a baby. After I took care of her, she fell asleep again. I laid her down, and I lied back down in bed. Austin was completely lost in sleep, so I didn't wake him up. I could only think about how AJ was getting so big, so fast.
It is finally July 2nd! Applejack's birthday! She finally turned 1 year old! I'm 8 months pregnant now, and its getting harder to move around. AJ has finally been toilet trained so we don't have to deal with that anymore! I'm so glad that my pregnancy is almost over, and AJ is looking forward to becoming a big sister. She knows the difference between our species, and she is very close to learning how to fully communicate with Austin and I. She's not drinking from a bottle anymore, she is drinking from cups now! I remodeled her old room to have that "child her age" feel to it. Her old crib is going to the baby, and her old toys aren't as entertaining to her as they used to be! She's happy, and Austin and I are, too.
This cannot be happening! Just when I had tucked Applejack in that night, I felt the baby give me a sharp kick. I'm only 8 months, and I didn't want my baby to be premature! This isn't good! I turned 23 only a month ago, and Austin was already 25 (I know, quite an age length), and now, Applejack might be sharing a birthday! As I lay here, in the hospital bed, I can only hope it's a false alarm, again !
Oh, how was I sadly mistaken! Applejack was back at home with her "Aunt" Ella and "Uncle" Harry. Before Austin and I left, we left a note of instructions for AJ.
Ella & Harry,
I advise that you follow these instructions, because AJ tends to get upset when Austin and I are gone (talk to Emily, Alex C. and Jay about it). Anyway, here is all you need to know:
1: If she starts to wonder where we are, just tell her that we had a meeting with the manager.
2: When she starts to buck the punching dummy we got for her (she needs to be strong), make sure one of you observe her, she tends to miss, a lot
3: Don't worry about getting her to go to sleep, she'll eventually get bored and go to bed on her own!
Sincerely,
Jade & Austin
I could only wish that they follow the instructions, Ella has a, say "Rainbow Dash" set heart and mind and tends to do things her way. Harry, on the other hand, has to keep her from doing such, due to what she tends to get herself wrapped into!
After a day without AJ, I could only hope she could accept her baby sister, well, not her biological sister, but her sister. Austin and I named her Blossom. She was a quiet baby for the most, but when she needed a bottle or needed to be changed, that is another story! I just hoped that Austin could explain to AJ what had happened and how Blossom got here, even though she was only a year old, she looked like she did in the episode "Cutie Mark Chronicles". As we drove home, I sat in back so I could watch Blossom. Austin knew that this was going to be kind of similar to baby AJ, just, Blossom doesn't mature as fast!
As we entered the house with Blossom in my arms, we found that AJ threw a fit and started bucking around, literally! Ella and Harry had fallen asleep on the couch. As he awoke, he realized that AJ had gotten a little bit ticked, and bucked around. "Holy mother of God!" He exclaimed, nudging Ella to wake up. She sat up, and just stared at the room.
"I swear to God Applejack said she was going to bed!" Ella swore. Austin looked at me, then at his agitated sister's face, then looked upstairs, where Applejack was in her room, bucking her dummy.
"Applejack!" He yelled. She gulped at the sound of Austin yelling. "Get down here, NOW!" He added. Her ears fell as she trotted downstairs.
"Yea, Dad?" She said, with her country tang in her voice. Austin knew he couldn't stay angry at her, after all, he was the one that bonded with her most. He slightly smirked behind the frown. He looked around the room, when AJ realized what was going on. "Oh, heh, thayt," She added. She couldn't pronounce long words, so her vocabulary was limited.
"AJ, did you buck everything in here?" Harry asked her. AJ explained why she did that. I looked over at Austin. She had said that she got thirsty, and what she thought was apple juice, was actually fizzy apple cider ! Oh god, she must've gotten drunk by accident and bucked out of will. Harry and Ella's mouths were left agape. I gave Austin the look I give him when he does something like that, and he rolled his eyes.
"Its my fault, AJ, I put the apple cider too close to the apple juice, and that was why you bucked everything," He laughed. She smiled and galloped back upstairs. I'm quite surprised that she didn't notice Blossom in my arms. After getting the living room straightened up again, Ella and Harry left back to Sacramento. Applejack didn't know that she drank an alcoholic beverage, but in the episode "Super Speedy Cider Squeezy Six-thousand", well, you saw those foals in line! So it had no effect on her emotions or anything.
My Little AJ
After AJ fell asleep, I had to think of where Blossom was going to sleep. We named her Blossom because of Apple Bloom, so it would at least have the feeling of her, but AJ doesn't even know about Apple Bloom, Granny Smith, or Big Macintosh. I found Applejack's old crib, and found the last spare room. It was kind of blank right now, but I'll paint it tomorrow. I moved the crib into the room and put Blossom in it. She can't open her eyes yet, but I could tell she was happy.
As I lay here in bed, with Austin holding me close, all I could think about is Blossom and AJ. I had already made sure that the apple cider was in the cabinet, a cabinet that AJ can't reach. She has a tendency to get up during the night and get a glass of apple juice. I'm not quite sure how she does it with hooves, but that is the least of my problems.
At about 1:45 a.m., Blossom started to cry. As I got up, Austin looked up at me and asked "What's wrong with Blossom?". I shrugged and walked into her nursery, not much of one. I knew that the only time she ever cried was if she wanted her bottle, or needed to be changed. When I picked her up, I found out that it was neither of those. As I carried her back to mine and Austin's bed, I assumed that something just startled her. "Austin, watch Blossom for a sec please, I'll go check on AJ to see if she got up or anything," I told him. He nodded and held Blossom.
As I entered Applejack's room, I saw her rub her eyes with her fore arms. "Mom, whut is goin' on?" She asked lazily. I bent down and asked her if she had been up any tonight. "No Ma, Ah've been asleep this whole time!" She replied, rolling over. "Can Ah' go back ta sleep now?" She asked. I nodded and kissed her on the forehead.
As I laid back down in Austin's and my bed, with Blossom between us, he asked me if she has been up. I shook my head and he raised his eyebrows. "You're serious? Then what's wrong with Blossom?" He asked. I shrugged and fell back asleep. Austin fell back asleep as well, but as much motion I felt in the bed, I could tell that Blossom refused to sleep.
After an hour, Blossom wailed again. It made Austin jump and he just picked her up. I sat up and asked him what was wrong. He shrugged and that was when I had enough. I knew AJ had the honesty element, so she can't lie without me knowing it. I went outside and investigated. When I saw the guy again, He came up to me and said "The pony, NOW!". Before my brain could process what had just happened, I reacted without consulting myself, and punched him in the face. What the heck did you just DO?! I thought. I knew he couldn't hit a girl, but he did anyway.
"Heck no you didn't!" I shouted, and pushed him, while he was falling, I punched his mouth. He was out cold, and I called the police. After 10 minutes, they arrived and cuffed him again. "Thanks, Darryl." I said. He nodded and drove back to the LA police station. As I went back inside. Austin had just put Blossom back to bed when he saw me, with a bloody lip.
"Oh my God, what the heck happened?!" He asked, holding my head in his hands. I looked him in the eyes and replied with tearful eyes.
"The guy, he was looking for AJ again, we fought for a sec," Austin pulled me in for a hug and we French kissed, again. After we let go, AJ came downstairs.
"Whut the heck are y'all doin' up? Its like, 3 o' clock in the mernin'" She pointed out. I nodded and told her to go back to bed, she gladly did so and I found myself lying in bed once again, with Austin keeping me close.
My Little AJ
The next day, was probably the worst day of my life. It would've been the last day if Austin hadn't aided me (at least until the ambulance got there)! It started when I awoke (obviously), Blossom was crying and it woke AJ up. "Ma, Dad, Bloss'm's cryin', could y'all git her please?" She pleaded, standing in our bedroom doorway. Austin sat up and replied lazily.
"Uh, yeah, okay AJ, just don't worry about it, Jade and I will get her,". I turned over, and sat up. As she trotted out of the room, I looked up at Austin and said.
"Alright, c'mon, Blossom sounds like she's gonna throw a fit,". Austin playfully rolled his eyes and said mockingly.
"Takes after her mom,". I glared at him and he just laughed.
"Alright, Blossom," I said. Blossom continued to wail. After I took care of her, she finally calmed down. As I went downstairs, AJ was drinking some apple juice (I wish I gave her more milk), and Austin was watching "The Watcher in the Woods" and drinking Monster. As Blossom sipped her bottle, I could only think about what happened last night, I still had a scratch on the corner of my mouth, and AJ noticed.
"Ma, whut happen'd to you're mouth?" She asked. I explained what had happened, and her mouth was left agape. "Why would they do thayt?" She asked once more. I said it was because he was a criminal. Even though she didn't know what a criminal was, she got some context clues from what I told her.
This evening, was the worst, in my life. I was putting Blossom in her crib when Austin and I heard something coming from the backyard. I thought that Blossom was going to cry again, but she didn't. Emily and Alex C. had come over and asked what had happened. "Austin and I heard something, we're gonna investigate, wanna come?" I asked. Emily and Alex C. nodded and we walked to the backyard. AJ was watching from Blossom's window, just so she could make sure Blossom would go to sleep. I wish she hadn't seen what had happened.
Just as I flashed a flashlight to where the noise was coming from, I saw a gun, and then, I felt a sharp pain in my shoulder. As I fell on the ground, I realized that the guy had shot me! Austin was beyond enraged, he was upset, and just couldn't take it anymore. I was hurt, and we had a family now. He wasn't going to back down without a fight. He punched the guy in the gut and said.
"GET A TASTE OF YOUR OWN DAMN MEDICINE!". After he said that, he come over to me and tried to keep me from bleeding. Seeing me in this condition, Emily was furious and beat the guy half to death. Alex C. had called the police and an ambulance. After 5 minutes, they got to the house, and I found my shoulder all bandaged up, and the guy was going to have life in prison, in a very secure cell . Emily had blood, on her hands, but little did she give. After she washed off the blood, her and Alex C. stayed with AJ and Blossom until Austin and I came home.
When we did come home, Alex C. and Emily asked what the doctor said. We explained that I'm going to have permanent shoulder problems, but that was the only defect. The guy finally did it, he traumatized AJ with the sight of me getting shot. As soon as Austin told her that we were home, she galloped up to me, and hugged my leg. My heart hasn't done this since she was a baby, and the meme gets old, but my heart exploded twice!
That night, I was laying in bed, nestled up to Austin, and he held me as close as possible. "I'm so sorry I let that happen to you, baby," He said. I looked up at him in confusion.
"This is not your fault at all!" I said. He said he knew, but he also said that he should've been more alert. I shook my head and nestled up closer.
"Baby girl you know I love you, I wish I had been more alert, and now we have AJ and Blossom, I-" I had cut him off and French kissed him. He kissed me back, he knew in his heart that I had said "Its okay,". The words he had said, I didn't want to just talk to him, I wanted to kiss him. He gladly went along with my method.
Chapter 11 "A Vacation to Country"
My Little AJ
I still can't believe that AJ is finally 3 years old! Meaning Blossom is 2 now, and she learning how to walk and talk. For her birthday, AJ received a cowgirl hat! Blossom got some cute little clothes and stuff. Now, to my belief, AJ got her cutiemark when she was 2 or something. She can now fully communicate, and she is getting taller. Its been a good while since I've seen the beautiful nature scenery of my birth state, so this summer, Austin and I agreed to go to this camp my parents, siblings, and grandparents used to stay when I was a young girl.
When we arrived to the camp, AJ was giddy and just wanted to buck all of the apple trees there. I calmed her down and asked her if she wanted to go fishing. I wasn't entirely positive that ponies went fishing, granted that they were vegetarians. She was so happy and just couldn't answer me! I laughed and we just went inside the cabin. I wouldn't think that AJ would be so happy to be somewhere different than California. Although, it makes sense because, after all, she practically belongs in the country.
"Jade, how much longer do you think?" Austin asked me, as we were sitting on the couch, while holding Blossom. I shrugged and AJ had fallen asleep in the recliner. It didn't phase me too much anymore. AJ still has no idea about the whole "made up cartoon character" deal, but she doesn't need to know at this age.
After 5 days, we were on our way home. We had so much fun, and AJ probably had the most fun. Besides, the best thing just happened this morning: Our little AJ got her cutiemark! She had no idea what it was before, but after I explained it to her, she was more ecstatic than before! It all happened a little like this:
One morning, Austin and I not only woke up to Blossom's cries, but the sound of the door slamming closed! I immediately got up. I originally wanted to go and see if AJ had left or something, but Austin insisted that he went instead of me, considering I wasn't feeling the best. when he came back, he had told me that AJ had gotten her cutiemark. She had ran away from the place and people she loved, and practically begged Austin and I for us to go back to LA where Emily, Kiya, Alex C., Alex W., Harry and Ella were. We agreed and packed up.
I wish I was home to hear this! Because Austin and I returned to work, AJ agreed to babysit Blossom while we were gone, and I paid her 5 bucks an hour. When we got home. AJ came galloping downstairs and said. "Bloss'm sayd her first word!". That shocked me. How did a pony teach a human baby how to talk?
When Austin and I entered Blossom's nursery, AJ convinced her to say it again. "Applejack". That, made my heart sink to the pit of my stomach. I know that AJ would have to leave at some point, and it just made me so sad inside. But I put a smile on my face because Austin had picked up Blossom, and carried her over to me. He knew what I was feeling inside, but I didn't show my pain.
That night, Austin and I were sitting in bed, sipping on Monster Energy. As I put my laptop away, and drank my last drops of Monster, Austin pulled me in close and said "Our Blossom is growing up,". I looked up at him and replied with the upmost sadness.
"Yeah, but she learned to say her temporary sister's name!". As a tear ran down my face, Austin held me even closer as I cried. He knew that we couldn't keep her forever, and he knew I was crying just because of that.
My Little AJ
The next morning, was worse than the day I got shot. When I walked into the living room, with Blossom in my arms. Austin was still asleep, so he didn't have to see AJ's face, flooded with tears. AJ had apparently gotten up early this morning, and found, the episode when she said. "I didn't learn anythin'! Ha! I was right all along!". I could feel my heart stop, Applejack had found out, and I feel absolutely idiotic for not telling her before!
"How long..." Applejack asked, no emotion in her country-touched voice. I felt my heart thumping through my chest, Blossom was sleeping in my left arm as she asked again. "How long...have y'all known 'bout this?".
"I..." I stuttered. Applejack turned to me with rage and tears on her face.
"HOW LONG HAVE YOU KNOWN DAMMIT!". She has never cursed, and hearing her yell at me, it hurt. As I sat down next to her, she took off her hat, and listened to me explain everything. Finding her, nursing her, and keeping her safe. I answered any questions she had for me. There were a lot, many related to the show, I told her what I truly believed.
After the talk, she was still crying, but she had stormed up to her room and climbed out of her window. I felt like someone that just killed someone they loved. But I technically did kill something, Applejack's trust for Austin and I.
Its been 2 days since AJ left Austin and I. Austin found out shortly after AJ left, and Blossom hasn't acted the same since her "sister" left. She wasn't a happy baby anymore, she was going through a wave of sadness. I had gone to look for AJ, when I passed the suburb park. The apple tree was still standing, I still remember when I picked the apple for AJ, and it broke my heart to see it. I sat under it as it began to rain. Its been raining since the day she left, and that was highly unusual for California to have 2 rainy days in a row! I felt a drop hit my head every second, but did I care? No. I wanted to drink some poison potions I could've brewed a day ago, but I didn't. Applejack was gone, Blossom was upset daily, Austin and I were physically and mentally hurt.
"I'm so sorry AJ, I should've told you sooner, I'm just, so sorry," I said, between sobs. Suddenly, I heard a crack. I looked up to see who I never thought I'd ever see again, Applejack. Her coat was muddy and her hat was dirty, her mane was a mess of tangles. She looked so terrible, but then, so great at the same time. As she sat next to me, not even glancing at me, she said.
"Ah' heard y'all, and I'm sorreh, too.". It was good to hear her country-touched voice once more, and I wanted to hug her, but I knew it would be too sudden.
"AJ you have nothing to be sorry about, its my fault, I should've told you way sooner!" I replied. I felt her hooves wrap around me as she asked me in the upmost sorrowful tone.
"Do y'all still love me?". I looked her in her green eyes and responded with a smile.
"Applejack of course I love you, I've always loved you!" We kept apologizing, me for the cruel truth and her for yelling, cursing and storming out. Just then, she asked me.
"Ma,"
"Hmm?"
"Can we go home now, Ah' need a shower, bad!"
I chuckled and nodded as we walked back home. Austin will be glad to see her again, and Blossom will not cry again.
There's always a day when a parent has to let their child go, no matter how much they will regret it. As I sit here, Blossom in my arms, Austin next to me, as we look back at the simpler times, I can't help but think of how much I miss AJ. This morning went a little something like this:
It was Applejack's 5th birthday, and I wanted to celebrate by taking her to the apple fest. Yeah, I took her to the apple fest, or was going to. I gave her a caramel apple scented perfume I got from there last year, I was saving it, and this seemed like a reason to have been saving it all this time. Blossom was 4 and was soon going to preschool, so no more restless nights, or anything that we had to do when she was a baby! AJ was looking like a full grown mare. But she was so young in my years.
Just as we were about to leave, I heard a knock at the door. I told AJ to go upstairs as I took care of it, she obeyed and went upstairs. As I opened the door, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Standing before me, was the goddess horse herself, Princess Celestia. Now, I knew why she was here, but the pony behind her, I didn't know why. It was Rainbow Dash, not any other ponies, just Celestia and Rainbow Dash. "Oh my God," I said to myself. I told Austin to come downstairs, because I wasn't sure if I had drank one too many Monster Energy drinks or what. When he came down, I asked him, "You see her too, right?". He nodded and I let her and Rainbow come in.
"I honestly expected a little more hesitance to us entering," Celestia began. I glanced over at Austin and responded.
"Well, I guess I'm...used to it...". Celestia raised an eyebrow and responded.
"So you do know why we are here?". I glanced down, then back up at her. I replied with a questioning tone.
"You, yes, Rainbow Dash, I have no idea,". Celestia looked over at Rainbow Dash as she bit her lip, and turned back to me.
"Well, Rainbow Dash just wanted to see her best friend again, Applejack must come with us.". I felt a tear run down my cheek. Austin called for AJ and she responded.
"Ah'm comin' Pa,". My eyes widened. Austin bit his lip as Celestia gasped.
"Um, Pa ?" She asked. Austin nodded as she came downstairs, to see Celestia and Dash.
"Aww yeah, its good to have ya back, Applejack!" Rainbow Dash rhymed. Celestia looked over at Austin and I and added to her question.
"Care to explain?" I nodded and explained everything. Rainbow Dash's mouth was left agape as Celestia nodded.
"It all makes sense. You see, Twilight Sparkle was trying to help the Apples' with their crops, they didn't seem to grow. But she cast the wrong spell, sending Applejack to...well...here. The magic was highly unstable and made her a baby, so it seems." Celestia replied. AJ sat down in another chair as the princess asked Austin if she could proceed. He reluctantly nodded, but just as Celestia started up her magic, Rainbow Dash yelled.
"Wait! I've been through the same situation. My Dad had to go through the same heartbreaking thing, letting me go was probably the hardest thing he could've ever done, but he toughed it out. I hope you guys remember AJ, and I can only hope that she remembers you awesome guys!" Rainbow Dash commented, smiling. I smiled back at her, and so did Austin.
"Thanks, Dash," Austin replied, holding me close. Rainbow nodded and let Celestia proceed. As the room lit up, Austin's and my fondest memories with AJ swept through our minds like a stampede. I could feel that the same was happening to AJ. In a minute, they were gone. As Blossom came down, she asked us.
"Where's Applejack?" Austin and I looked at her and explained what had happened. She looked at us with the upmost confusion when we were done, but then, we filled her in on what happened in the past. She understood and I don't know why, but I'm glad AJ went back. I should be heartbroken and want nothing but my pony daughter back, but I didn't. I knew she was back where she was meant to be.
Chapter 1 "When She Came"
My Little AJ
In the year 2024, I graduated college in May, and I turned 22 on June 2nd. I had married my boyfriend Austin, and we were both fans of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I had to move far away from the state I was born in, and I had moved to Los Angeles, because I had gone into acting. I had a great job, I was paid well, but, something in my life felt, well, incomplete.
Every night, Austin and I liked to watch "My Little Dashie" Comic Dub on YouTube. Rainbow Dash was Austin's favorite pony, aside Princess Luna, but mine, mine was Applejack. I grew up on a farm for 2 years, but because my family was so big, I had to move to the city, also my dad had worked in the city, and we had to move anyway. Austin loved "My Little Dashie", I did, too. Yet, everytime I watched it, I wanted a little Applejack of my own. I had a little plushie of her, it felt as if I still had her, but, I wanted a live pony.
Although, on Saturday, I told Austin I was going to the library. The library is where I could get free wi-fi and I could think about things, and read some cool books. I didn't feel like driving, so I just walked. I liked to walk, only because when I was young, I liked to be alone sometimes, just so I could think about my life. Austin knew that when I was a little kid things were difficult for me. As I was walking, I saw an abandoned building. Usually, all kinds of buildings were full of life in LA, but, I don't know what drew me to it, I went inside the building without anyone noticing, when I saw a little orange object. I thought it was just a plushie of some sort, or maybe just a moldy orange, left here to rot.
I drew closer to it, I remember the "My Little Dashie" story, it reminded me of the moment when he saw filly Rainbow Dash in the box, I felt like him right now. The orange object, it was breathing ! I immediately pulled out my phone, and texted Austin to come down to the abandoned building, he came about 10 minutes after I texted him that. When he came inside, he found me, staring at the orange blob. He raised an eyebrow and asked me "What exactly are you looking at?" I pulled him closer, and he noticed it was breathing as well.
Austin's friends and even his sister texted him at least once a day, and the inevitable happened, his phone went off, and the orange thing jumped. I looked at it as if it was a baby that had just been startled, Austin looked the same as I crept a little closer. When it lifted it's head, the little green, beady eyes, looked me in my royal blue eyes. Austin's mouth was left agape as I then realized what it was, baby Applejack , that's right, a baby!
A clip of "My Little Dashie" replayed in my head, when Rob found Rainbow Dash, she was at least 4 or 5 years old, but, Applejack, heck, she looked as if she was only a month old! Maybe even younger, and I swear, Austin's heart must've exploded due to his expression on his face. He looked like he did when he first met my baby cousin, and the face, it made my heart explode as well. Applejack looked around, then looked at me and Austin. She looked as if she was about to cry, but I took off my mini jacket and wrapped her in it.
She didn't react to it, yet she did squirm just trying to get comfortable. Austin held the door open for me and we walked out to the car. As we drove home, Applejack had the most plain face ever. She was still trying to comprehend what was happening, and Austin was asking me a lot of questions, but I could only answer half of them. When we entered the house, Applejack then started to cry. I didn't know what to think, and Austin suggested singing her a lullaby. He's only heard me sing a few times since we've been together, but I didn't care whoever heard me at this point, all I wanted to do was to keep the baby Applejack happy, and I sang "Children of the Night", and she fell asleep.
As I entered a spare room that I was originally going to make a design room, because of my love for designing clothing, because my mother taught me how to sew when I was 13. I decided to make a nursery for Applejack, just so she'd have a room of her own from the start. After an hour, Austin texted his friend Jay and asked him to babysit AJ, and of course, Jay agrees, and before we left, we explained what'd had happened earlier this morning. We went to get some things for baby Applejack and when we got home, I saw Jay asleep on the couch with baby AJ huddled up on his stomach. Austin went over to wake him up, and I went to the empty room.
