Zen finally gets to go to Canterlot to train at the knight academy to work for the royal guard but is surprised when the Princesses call him to be the first to work under Princess Twilight in his homeland of Ponyville. Along the way he becomes friends with the mane 6 and meets a new Pegasus named Narchu who quickly becomes his close friend, but not everything can go right for the young hero as Ponyville soon meets a returning threat.
