The High Road 2: Nightmares

"Rainbow?" I whispered to my wife, who was now starting to cry. We only had a day left with each other. I hope heaven in Equestria exists, because if it does, then we get to spend eternity with each other. Otherwise, we would never see each other again.

My chest was in deep pain as It felt heavy when I realized that we were finished.

We just waited until the doctors left, then we looked at each other. I put my hoof into Dash's. We just silently cried. "What are the results?!?" I heard Pinkie say. I just felt a tear come out as I was preparing to tell them about our death.

I kept our hooves locked in a hold, then, I said, "Guys.... Look, the doctors did tests, Dash and I waited patiently...and the results aren't good." I said. "Well; why don't you tell us." Rarity asked, clearly, like our other friends, preparing for the worst. "....(sigh) okay, Rainbow and I are not going to make it out of the hospital...alive." I said as I told them that we were going to die. We all sat in an embrace, crying, and wanting to prevent it.

Oh well, what's done is done. We are going to die... And it's my fault.

"I'm sorry, I wish it could be different, or if I could cast a spell." Twilight said through her tears. It was a sad sight to see her so contributed to helping somepony she's only known for a couple years.

Anyway, we just cried for many hours, then our five friends had to be escorted out the door. The doctors were worried that one or more of them would have a mental breakdown. "Rai-?" Was all I remember saying before suddenly I blacked out.

Rainbow Dash and I were beginning to shut down.
