Take pity AJ...

I trot past Sweet Apple Acre's Orchard and then abruptly stop and stare at all of those beautiful, gleaming, juicy red apples on those new apple trees. My jaw drops and I slowly trot into the Orchard, staring down those sweet fruits that could be all mine if I was quick enough. But, I can't betray Applejack! Why do I even have this craving again? Oh no! Not again! I suddenly gallop towards the nearest apple tree and fly upwards towards those red treasures perched. I pluck one off the tree. I'm sure Applejack won't mind if I have just one little bite...

I burp loudly, patting my now full stomach. Apple cores surround me as I lick my juicy lips. Then I glance at the other section of the Orchard, where the Vampire Fruit-Bats feed happily on their share of apple trees. Then I punch my forehead, hard. Why didn't I just ask those kind bats if I could share with them instead of eating Applejack's own share of the apple trees? Nopony would notice if I ate the Vampire Fruit-Bat's share, everypony would just think they ate them themselves. Wait, I could never just eat all of their share, they have families to feed. Oh, ah...what is that strange, tingling feeling on my back?

I glance at my feathered wings and then I give a squeak of surprise. My feathered wings slowly unfurl and stretch into bigger leather bat wings! "EEEP! NO! THIS CAN'T BE-... HISSSS!" I cry in alarm. My vision goes blurry for five seconds, my ears grow into bigger bat ears and I give out another scream that echoes over the Orchard. Applejack comes running out of no where and nearly trips as she tries her best to stay still as she shakily glances at me. My body starts to lurch right at her, feeling rather ravenous. "STAY BACK APPLEJACK! RUN AWAY, QUICK!" I yell but to Applejack it was a loud, earsplitting hiss sound. Applejack then stands up tall, a brave look on her face.

"Ah ain't scared of ya! Come fight, taking' my apples again! Why are you a bat again Fluttershy?!" She shouted. I don't know how this could escalate so quickly. I suddenly crave for more fruit or at least something that I can suck my teeth into. I no longer care about if Applejack gets harmed, I'm hungry and I'm going to have a FEAST!

I flap my new leather wings, that I find easier to fly with and I zoom straight into Applejack. We collide onto the ground together and I pin Applejack down before she can recover. Since there is nothing else to eat, lets see what juice you really hold AJ! Just as I was about to sink my fangs into Applejack's flesh I'm suddenly surrounded by dark pink magic. Twilight levitates me in the air and I notice our other friends behind her.

"WHOA! Fluttersh-I mean Flutterbat is here again! AWESOME!" Rainbow Dash yells happily. Noticing her friend's glares she sheepishly glances away, her arms behind her back whilst hovering.

"Let's go to the Library girls," Twilight said.

"GIRLS! Please get me out of this! I need to eat or I won't survive! I'll die! Please help me!" I hiss. I'm stuck under a net in the Library, held captive by Rainbow Dash while our other friends are huddled close, having a private conversation. Rainbow firmly holds the net, making it impossible for me to escape. I hiss at Rainbow, baring my fangs.

"Give it up Flutter...bat. You'll never escape! Now quit hissing, it's actually kinda annoying. I make a loud hiss, directly at her in the net. Rainbow inched away slightly.

"And freaky..."

"Rainbow Dash! I have no possible idea why the spell still didn't work. There is no point trying it again, the same thing will probably happen. No, I'll just have to do some research and try to fix this problem. I'm sure I'll find a better spell that will actually work and won't backfire. In the meantime, we are going to have to buy some supplies. I happen to know just as well as Applejack that even Vampire Fruit-Bats can't survive without enough fruit to eat. It's amazing how quick they suffer without their daily food, right? Well, all of us are just going to have to spend a few bits on fruit. Applejack has explained that her whole Orchard has been eaten, even the Vampire Fruit-Bat's share. Now do not complain about anything. We haven't got time. Hmm...Applejack? You can take care of Flutterbat, just lock her in the barn with enough fruit to eat, okay? It shouldn't be a problem, everypony okay about this decision?" Twilight finished, glancing at all of her friends. The group of friends nodded, trotting out of the Library to do their jobs.

Applejack pulls the net, glaring at me. I hiss at her, startling her. Twilight glances at AJ, her face full of concern.

"Are you sure you're going to be okay with this? We can always work something out if it's a bit too much for you," she suggested. Applejack glanced back at her, angrily.

"So what y'all sayin' is that Ah can't take care of this by mahself?!" Applejack shouted. Twilight shook her head.

"No, I just thought it would be nice if one of your very best friends tried to help you. What is the matter Applejack? You seem awfully troubled. I guess I can take care of Flutterbat if you really can't handle-"

"SHUT IT TWILIGHT! Ah can take care of this! I'll show ya!" she yelled back. Twilight just stood still, stunned.

"Applejack, I'm really worried about you. Remember, your trees will probably grow back soon enough. Take pity on poor Flutterbat will you? She didn't mean for all of this to happen. You and I both know that Vampire Fruit-Bats have to eat as much as they can to be able to survive. You wouldn't want one of your friends to be gone forever, would you?" Twilight asked. I sniff, a tear trickling down my cheeks.

Twilight and Applejack glance at me, their faces softening.

"Come on, take pity Applejack. The poor thing does have feelings too. She may look mean on the outside but in the inside, she wants to just break free. She doesn't like living like this, trying to hurt her only friends. She is still the Fluttershy we know and love."

Applejack's eyes water as she glances down at the floor. Out of no where, she pulls the net off me and she buries herself into my mane.

"I'm so sorry Fluttershy! I never realized that you still have proper feelings! All I did was just hate you till we got back the normal you. Since you will be like this for a while, I can't hate you. I still love you, as the bestest friend that I always will have!" Applejack cried, breaking down into a sob. Twilight pats AJ on the shoulder.

"It's okay AJ, I'm sure she forgives you. Look, she's smiling!" She said, nodding at my now turned up frown. I'm amazed that Twilight didn't think I would try and escape right there, she is such a kind friend. Then we all hug happily, as I hungrily lick my dry lips.
