Twilight's Special Somepony

On a day where most would call such an amazing day Twilight would call it just a regular day. Hearts n' Hooves day had come around. Normally people would be in love. Something was off on this day though. No one was. The purple mare quietly stepped out of her house. Not a single soul was handing out Hearts n' Hooves cards or going on a date. Slowly, Twilight walked over to Dusk Blade's guest house. He was visiting ponyville. Maybe his visit was causing a ruckus. Surprisingly, no pony was around the little house. Twilight peeked inside and saw Commander Dusk Blade chatting with a gray stallion. This was a stallion Twilight had never seen before. Who was he?

Dusk Blade quickly looked over as soon as he saw his good friend in the window out of the corner of his eye. "Twilight! Do come in!" Twilight put her hoof to her face. She hadn't meant to be noticed. Either way she opened the door and trotted inside. The unnamed stallion stepped aside to let Twilight speak with the commander. "Is there something you need Twilight?" Although, Twilight was too busy wondering who the mystery pony was that she didn't hear Dusk Blade's question. The dark colored stallion gave the unnamed pony a confused look then shouted Twilight's name. Immediately, the young princess jumped in shock, "S-Sorry!" She looked at the gray stallion. "Who is that?" The stallion backed away and Dusk Blade replied, "That is Reposte, a friend of mine." Twilight once again looked at Reposte and smiled, "Nice to meet--" Reposte walked out of the building. Both friends frowned at him as he exited.

Hours later Twilight spent her time taking a walk in the park. All her friends were off visiting relatives. There was no need for her to worry about anything. Just then Reposte came up to her. Where did he come from? She asked herself. For a second he glared at her then smiled. "You are good looking for a princess..." The purple pony flinched. What? Did he just say that? A slight blush came upon Twilight's cheeks. "Um, thanks. You aren't so bad yourself." He took a step closer to her. "Commander Dusk Blade told me a lot about you." Following his movement, Twilight stepped backward. "Oh... I see." He laughed at her blushing and grinned, "Shy are we?" She stomped her hoof and shook her head. Her friend obviously said good things about her. Once again Reposte spoke, "Mind if we hang out...?" Twi nodded.

The two ponys walked together for a while. As the sun started to go down, Reposte sighed. It was time for both of them to head home. Neither of them wanted to part. They had bonded so much that day. Twilight felt like she could spend the rest of her life with him. At that moment Reposte started walking away. No goodbye? "Erm.." Reposte turned to see Twilight muttering to herself. Slowly, he tilted his head in confusion. She looked up from her thoughts and ran to him. "I think I like you..." Reposte's eyes widened. What did Twilight Sparkle just say? A princess loves just a regular pony? As he was about to reply to her comment Commander Dusk Blade appeared. "Come on Reposte, it is time to go. Tomorrow is a big day. We have business to attend--" Reposte pressed his hoof to the commander's chest and pushed him away. He looked Twi in the eye and took a deep breath. "I think I like you too..." Twilight blushed and kissed his cheek.

Twilight spread her wings. She was a bit embarassed to stay there. Her friend just saw her fall in love with a special somepony. Both stallions smiled. Dusk Blade went back to the house, leaving those two be. The mare still shook her head, signaling she had to go. "Wait!" She was startled by Reposte's shout. "What is it?" asked the princess. He took a step closer to her and gently kissed her. "Goodbye..." He started walking away. Both ponys smiled as they went to their own homes. From then on Twilight thought of Hearts n' Hooves day as something special. Even though no one was around that day she thought it was splendid.
