Brony With a Shotgun - The Equestrian Massacre
Saving Rainbow Dash
Previous ChapterNext ChapterFloyd was walking down the pathway that led to Ponyville.
"Cant be long now.." He muttered to himself, looking off into the distance at the fallen town. The light drizzle from earlier was slowly turning into a storm, lightning starting to become visible in the distance as thunder could be heard.
"Stop right there!"
Floyd froze, already seeing where this was going. Turning around, Floyd locked eyes with some random phsyco.
"Look, I dont want to hurt you." Floyd pulled Lucky out of his belt, ready to shoot if nescissary.
"I dont think you have a choice anyways."
"What makes you say that?" Floyd aimed Lucky at the phsyco's head.
"Look behind you." The phsyco chuckled.
Floyd turned around to see several firearms trained on him.
"We've heard about you, and were not gonna let you ruin what we came here for!" Floyd examined the brony. These werent the kind of people he saw conversing on the internet. The brony was twitching, one eyelid higher than the other. "Were not gonna let you take this away from us."
"But why are you so determined to hunt these ponies down and have your way with them, why are you doing this?"
All of them just laughed at Floyd.
Rainbow dash was flying over ponyville, looking for her friends, friends she might be able to save.
"Come on, there has to be somepony out there?!" Rainbow dash crossed her hooves, still keeping a watchful eye over ponyville. Suddenly something caught her attention, a Dark blue aura surrounding the castle.
"Whats up with the castle-" Rainbow's eyes widened. She saw a human walking out of the barrier, no doubt armed.
"The princess!" Rainbow dash began to fly in his direction, getting closer and staying out of sigh. Her pace quickened as she watched his every move. But after flying for about five minutes in his direction she saw the human being held at gunpoint.
"I cant let him die, I need to get some awnswers"
She flew directly at Floyd at intense speed, ready to snatch him up.
"Ready," The man shouted, Floyd tensed as he heard the click of guns being ready to take fire.
"Aim," They lifted there guns, Floyd closed his eyes and clenched his teeth, ready to duck down in a last resort.
"FIRE!"
There was a flash of light and Floyd disappeared, leaving nothing but a cloud of dust. None the less they still took fire. All of the bullets missed, except one. The bullet flew through the air and headshotted a phsyco, killing them instantly.
Floyd was flying through the air, suspended by his bacpack as rainbow took him through the air at top speed. It didnt help that it was pouring rain.
Rainbow dash didnt ask anything, but instead continued to fly until they were over ponyville. Rainbow dash stopped flying and looked down at Floyds terrified face.
"Are you one of those nutbars?!?" Rainbow threatened, loosening her grip on him. Floyd frantically shook his head.
"NO NO, IM HERE TO HELP!" He looked down, shaking. They mut've been somewhere over 300 feet in the air over the town square.
Rainbow reluctantly tightened her grip on the backpack and flapped her wings, working every muscle in her wings to stay airborne.
"I still dont trust you, so I'm going to have to ask you a couple of questions!"
Floyd swallowed his fear and looked up at Rainbow dash.
"Listen, nows not the time for questions!" Floyd could barely hear himself think as the rain got worse. Rainbow gave him a glare.
"We have to get back to te castle, Celestia and Twilight are waitng for you.
"Im not going until I find the rest of my friends!" Rainbow dash refused, already averting her sight over ponyville.
"It was a direct order from the princess, we dont havemuch time!" Floyd barked. Rainbow Dash sighed.
"Fine, we will go back to the castle!" Rainbow shouted in protest, butshe couldnt see anything through the fog and smoke.
"Which way's the castle!?" Floyd yelled, there was so much rain and smoke he couldnt even see the ground below them.
"I dont know, I think its this wa-" Rainbow dash suddenly cried out in pain as her wings Literally exploded in a burst of flames, feathers flying.
The two began to spiral downward until Rainbow dash relecouldnt hold on. She let go of Floyd, blood coming out of her wings in arcs.
"Rainbow dash!!" Floyd yelled through the rain as she plummeted downward in a different direction. Floyd looked down at the pavement, endulging his mind with fear. He braced his self.
THUD!
An unbelievable amount of pain shot through Floyds body as he landed on the ground.
"..Fuck!" He slammed his fist on the concrete. He could barely feel anything, the rain stinging him as he made a desperate attempt to get up.
"Theres...no...time..." Floyd said in between breaths, reminding himself there was still an armed phsyco somewhere in the area. He had to get up now or else they would both die.
He finally found the strength to stand up, still feeling the burning sensation of the fall all throughout his body. Wincing, He looked around the area.
They had landed in the middle of the town square, which was decorated with fancy trees, statues and stone walkways. Rain poured down all over the area.
"..Rainbow..dash?" He called out, making a desperat attempt to ignore the overwhelming pain from the fall.
After looking around and through the thick of the rain, he spotted Rainbow dash about a couple hundred meters away, right in front of the town hall building. Her wings had been blasted to peices, not to mention they had been practically been burnt to a crisp.
"Rainbow!" He started to stumble in her direction when suddenly he heard a crack.
A large bullet had traveled within inches of his head.
Floyd snapped out of it and looked in the direction of the bullet, and what he saw made his heart skip a beat.
There was a sniper nested on the balcony of the town hall building. The same building Rainbow dash had landed next to.
The sniper had an easily visible and worn out bulletproof vest outside of a long-sleeved windbreaker.
The man wore a ski-mask and a pair of sunglasses to conceal his face.
The sniper paused, then looked past his scope, staring at Floyd for a second. Floyd was a couple hundred meters away from the building so his shotgun was useless from this distance, and so was his knife.
He had to get to Rainbow dash, but clearly this sniper had other things in mind.
They stared at each other for about 3 minutes, each anticipating the others move.
Floyd dolphin dived behind a statue seconds before the ground underneath his feet exploded.
"Oh shit... Incendiary!?" Floyd shouted in disbelief, getting up from the dirt as another bullet blasted a nreaby statue to peices.
Incendiary ammunition contains a compound that burns rapidly and causes fires, not to mention the explosion.
Floyd whipped out his 44. and shot a round at the sniper, giving the sniper some surpressive fire. The snip flinched, dodging the bullet.
Floydsaw this as an oppritunity to duck down behind a long hedge.
The sniper regained his composure and looked through his scope, searching for Floyds head. Floyd on the other hand was crawling on the cobble-stone path, trying his best not to be seen.
The sniper thought for a second, as if coming up with a plan B...
He began to unleash a flurry of flaming bullets at the ground randomly, destroying statues, the walkway and plants.
He continued to do so, determind to waste as much ammo as it took.
Suddenly The ground exploded right next to Floyd, scorching his arm. Reflexively, Floyd got up and began to sprint closer to Rainbow Dash.
The sniper began chuckled in triumph and sent another storm of bullets at Floyd.
Floyd cried out in pain as one of the massive bullets grazed his leg, leaving a horrifying gash in his leg. The skin around the gash was also melting. Floyd fell to his knees.
The sniper took his time and gently squeezed the trigger, sending one ore bullet at Floyd.
The bullet collided with Floyds shoulder, blowig it to peices. Bone was visible but thankfully his arm was still in tact.
Floyd completley fell down, feeling the life drain out of him. Tears streamed from his eyes.
The sniper took a second to savor his victory, giving hmself a round of applause.
Floyd vision got blurry, and soon enough went completley black. For some odd reason he could see te seen of him holding Twilight... the words echoed through the dark place in his head, the first words his favorite pony had ever said to him...
..Please dont hurt me...
Floyd was motionless on the ground, the rain washing all of the blood from the wounds. He began to lisen ot the voie like a boken record.
He knew he wasnt done here, he couldnt let this become the fate of the other five mares.
Suddenly a cry of pain was heard over the noise of the rain, followed by some loud sobs.
Rainbow dash had woken up, and was crying out in pain. Her front legs looked prety bad, and her wings looked just the same.
Floyd growled and dragged his body up, he wasnt going to let this snper stand in his way. Even though he was bleeding out fast and on the verge of passing out any moment now..
Standing up with the urge to pass out completley, Floyd eyed the smug sniper, who as ready to shoot him right in the head.
In rebuttle Floyd gripped his revolver, and began to empty the five bullets that were left in the snipers direction. Blood pumping wildly out of his leg and what used to be his left shoulder.
The first two bullets missed. The sniper squeezed the trigger in retaliation, sending another bullet in Floyds direction. Floyd could barely see a thig as he dragged himself forward, ready to just topple over.
Floyd fired off one round, and saw a one in a millionth chance right before his eyes.
The bullet that was going to destroy his head collided with one of Floyd bullets. The explosion lit up he sky as shrapnel flew into he dirt. Floyd saw this as an oppritunity and utalized his now clear line of sight.
"SUPRISE!"
Floyd practically slammed his finger down on the trigger, sending the last bullet form his 44. in the snipers direction.
...SPLAT!
There was a cry of agonizing pain as the bullet from Floyds revolver smashed the lens of the snipers sunglasses, traveling through his eye into his head. The heavy rifle fell off the balcony int the mud.
The sniper began to back up, and tripped over a potted-plant. He fell over the balcony, smashing his head against a statue on the way down.
Town square grew quiet, only the sound of rain could be heard. Floyd was about ready to just fall over and die, he quickly got out the smaller bottle of painkillers with his numb hand and took 6 or 7 out of it, swallowing them whole.
Floyd grunted and looked at his shoulder, it was pretty awful. His leg wasnt AS bad compared to his shoulder. But it was still pretty bad. It was excruciatingly painful to be Floyd right now, he almost wanted to be someone else.
He looked back to rainbow Dash. She sobbed quietly. Floyd limped over to her, occasionaly grunting and shouting when he moved his limbs wrong.
"Rainbow...Dash..." Floyd panted, falling to his knees down next to her. Tears rolled down her face as she slowly started to open her eyes... Then they shot open.
"Behind you!" Rainbow dash yelled, Floyd turned around and took a lead pipe to the mouth. It sent him to his back.
The sniper stood over him, ready to deliver the killing blow. He had took time to put his sunglasses back on, and his skimask was covered with blood as it pumped rapidly out of his head wound.
"THATS MY LITTLE DASHIE!" He barked, Then he cried out in pain.
Rainbow Dash bit down on his leg as hard as she could. The sniper smacked her with the pipe, sending her back. This gave Floyd just enough time to ready his shotgun.
"..Times up."
Floyd pressed down on the trigger. The recoil sending a shockwave of pain into his wounded shoulder. he cried out in agonizing pain as fresh tears began to ome from his eyes. The snipers head exploded into a disgusting mess.
Rainbow Dash screamed when a little bit of the blood found its way on her fae.
The snipers body flew back, hitting a nearby statue with a cold thud before it landed on the ground.
Floyd got back up, still crying softly to himself as he stumbled over to Rainbow Dash, who had a fresh bruise on her cheek from the pipe.
The poor mare had been through hell. Not only were her wings burnt to a crisp, but her front legs were crushed from the impact of the fall.
Floyd took the bottle of painkillers out of his pocket and shook it. There werent many left. He wasnt sure if ponies could take human drugs, but he had to get her back without her making any noise.
"Alright.. im going to need you to.." He winced, "..swallow this for me.. ok?" He popped one out of the bottle and fed it to her.
"Now this is going to hurt a little.." Floyd unzipped his backpack and reached for her, she rolled away.
"Im n-not going in.. t-there." Rainbow refused, "I want t-to.. stay out." She tried to stand but fell down again.
"They outnumber us Rainbow Dash.. If they see that I have you they'll kill both of us." Floyd spoke, his voice firm despite the fact that he was on the verge of death. Rainbow Dash looked down.
"..Please d-dont take too long..." She closed her eyes. The pain wasnt as bad as before, but it was still to much for her. Floyd gently picked her up and placed her into the backpack. He zipped it up tight, then placed it down.
"Cure these wounds.." Floyd muttere to imself. He took off his tank top and ripped it into two peices, one bigger than the other. He tied the smaller one around his leg wound, then the bigger one around his shoulder.
It took five minutes of hell and pain until he had succesfully applie the bandages to the wounds. At least he wouldnt lose as much blood.
He ws all ready to leave when he found himself looking at the snipers body.
"Of course.." Floyd thought. He approached the body looking it up and down. Then he stripped the sniper of the bulletproof vest and the jacket.
You could tell by one look that the sniper had already dealt with some other bronies. The vest was covered in dents and bullet holes, it was almost completley used up, but could still protect him from a couple of bullets... Floyd put down his shotgun and carefully put the vest on. It fit his body surprisingly well.
Then he picked up the jacket. It was a thin black windbreaker. Floyd sighed comfortably as he slipped it on. It felt nice and warm, and it even had a hood.
"I guess that works.." Floyd zipped up the windbreaker, still thriving in pain. It concealed the worn out bulletproof vest quite niely.
Then he placed the hood up.
After fittinghis gear, he bean to walkk back over to the backpack. Once again something shiny caught his eye. He walked up and examined the glimmer that came from the mud. Floyd could barely bend over to pick up the heavy metal object.
It was a Barret 50.cal sniper rifle, and this one had a collapsible stock, allowing for easy storage. The magazine was empty though, so he tossed that back into the mud.
Dazed, Floyd walked back over to his backpack and placed the sniper rifle into the medium sized pocket, the last one he had available. His backpack was full now.
He slipped it on, almost toppling over from the weight of it. He looked around the town square one last time, feeling the painkillers begin to take effect. The pain was now a little more tolerable.
"I gotta get out of here before more show up.." He thought to himself. We began to walk as casually as possible trying to blend in as if he Were a phsyco. He took deep breaths and slow steps, placing hs hands in his pockets.
Floyd stoppe and pulled a magazine out of th pocket. It just so turns out that it was a spare fo the barret. There was probably more up on the balcony but he didnt have time.
He put the magazine back into his windbreaker pocket and continued to walk back to the casle.
After a walk Floyd arrived at the start of the pathway which led to the castles entrance. His hope died when he spotted the men from earlier just up the hill. They were lounging around as if they had waited for him this whole time.
"Degenerates." Floyd grumbled, he had to get to the castle Now, these painkillers wouldnt last much longer, he already bebgan to feel the pain starting to slowly return. Then Floyd remembered the barret.
One time he shot a barret at hsi local firing range. These things were no joke, it was capable of mass destruction.. he got down to on knee and removed the barret, placing the new magazine back into it.
"If I could get this in one shot..." He thought, he looked through the high-powered scope at the phyco's, selecting his target.
...
"..He should be back any second now.." Spat the man that appered to be the small packs leader, all the other bronies waited behind him.
"I doubt it, he's probably finding a different way back." Said a smart one, crossing his arms.
"Nonsense!" The man shouted, "We just have to give it a little more t-"
BOOM!
The physcos head exploded with a flurry of flames, causing the others to fall back
"What the hell was that!?!?!" One panicked, they all began to retreat back into the woods, leaving the trail clear once again.
Floyd carefully put the barret back into his backpack, taking his time and trying not to mke any sudden movements.
"Sayonara." Floyd muttered, he carefully stood up and began to walk through the rain, starting up the pathway that led to the castle.
Floyd passed through the barrier once again, stepping onto the dry soil. He approached the door and opened it slowly, seeing that Princess Celestia was asleep. Luna and Twilight were having conversation. That conversation ended as soon as Floyd entered the throne room. Twilight stared at him, shifting uncomfortably.
"Get a blanket." Floyd ordered, you could hear the pain in his voice. Twilight stood up and Floyd used every last ounce of his strength just to sit down.
"Whats wrong?" Luna asked, curious.
"Its Rainbow Dash, she needs to be healed quickly or she might not make it." Floyd took off his backpack unzipped the mai compartment to find Rainbow Dash till asleep.
"I got the blanket." Twilight levitated it in front of Floyd using her magic. Floyd carefully lifted Rainbow dash out of the backpack and onto the soft blanket.
Luna gasped and Twilight shook.
"Who did this to her?" Twilight almost shed a tear looking at the mangled remains of Raibows wings.
"It was some guy with a ski-mask." Floyd said as Lunas horn began to glow, Rainbow dash began to Glow with a Dark blue aura.
Twilight glared at Floyd.
"Why did you let him do this to her!?" Twilight stomped her hoof on the ground, demanding an explination.
"She picked e up and saved me from turning into swiss cheese, we were flying through the air but the fog and smoke were so thick we couldnt see a thing, then a madman shot us out of the sky." Floyd explained to her.
"Why didnt you act any sooner!?".
"I was being shot at by a mad man with a sniper rifle, I lost my soulder for christ sake!" Floyd lowered his voice, Twilight took a few steps back and sat down, averting her gaze to the floor.
"Look Twilight.. I did everything I could and I was lucky enough to get her back here alive, I know you feel bad because shes your friend, and you have every right to be upset, but right now she needs help."
Twilight sighed, "Im sorry, but all of this is just too much for me."
"Its too much for all of us, but dont worry, I am going to do everything I can to save your friends and hopefully get this place back to normal."
Twilght gave a small smile, as if Floyd had just gveher a small glimmer of hope.
Floyd took off his jacket and the vest, revealing the blood stained bandage that covered his messed up shoulder.
"How bad is it?" Twilight asked him, Floyd took the sleeve from his indbreaker and bit down on it as hard as he could.
He slowly undid the makeshift bandage, wincing as he took it off. The blood had stopped pumping out of the wound a couple hours ago, but it hurt even more than before since the burns were finally taking effect. Floyd quickly wiped a tear off of his emotionless face. Twilight got up and sat down near Floyd, close enouh for her magic to take effect.
"Lets heal you up." Twilight smiled once more, Floyd noticed a few of her hairs were out of place, but she sounded so calm, so peaceful... Poor mare.
Floyd began to glow with a lavender colored aura and his wounds slowly started to heal.
