"Almost done.." Twilight informed. She focused her magic on Floyd's shoulder. For the most part it looked fine, but compared to earlier it looked alot better.

Meanwhile, Luna was using her magic to heal Rainbow dash. Celestia and spike were fast asleep. Spike rolled, over kicking the air.

"Thanks." Floyd looked up with what appeared to be a smile of gratitude, although he had no reason to smile. He slowly turned his head away from her, looking outside at the chaos.

Gray clouds scattered all across the dark, lifeless sky. On top of The Rain from earlier It was beginning to get colder.. The clouds reminded him of the ponies throughout Equestria. The scared, terrified, innocent ponies down there.. waiting for someone to save them. He thought about it, but immediately pushed it out of his head. It made him sick. He knew there was a lot more that needed to be done... He just didn't want to believe any of it.

"Floyd?" Twilight was trying to get his attention. Floyd, unaware, quickly snapped back into reality.. if any of this is even real. He really hopes that he was just insane.

A couple of hairs on Twilight's mane were crooked, out of place. She looked like she could just explode at any moment.

"Your shoulder's as good as new, just try not to take anymore damage." Twilight took a few steps back and sat down, immediately returning her attention to Rainbow Dash. Most of her minor injuries were gone. Her legs looked awful, and her wings were even worse.

"Quiet! I think shes waking up!" Luna announced, Celestia woke up, all eyes were on Rainbow dash.

"..Ugh.." Rainbow dash opened her eyes slightly... Suddenly her eyes shot open. She began to panic.

"Who! What! Where! OW!" Rainbow dash fell flat, biting her lip as pain shot through her legs and wings.

"Calm down!" Luna warned, using her magic to make sure she didn't get up like that again.

"Where am I?" Rainbow dash thrashed and twisted and turned under Luna's magic, demanding an answer

"Your safe, and that's all that matters now." Floyd assured her, loading his weapons. He had emptied his backpack and began to take inventory of what he had. Ammo was was obviously getting scarce, he put the Barrett in his backpack, he would have to refrain from using it that much. Only for huge enemies or emergency's. Generally speaking invasions against the castle. He loaded the magnum and Holstered it, setting his Remington down beside him.

"My wings!" Rainbow dash stared at her wings in shock, she looked like she was about to explode with tears.

"Now calm down," Luna spoke, "Your wings are going to be fine." She gave a reassuring smile, and Rainbow dash seemed to calm down a bit. Though A couple of tears found their way down her cheeks as she closed her eyes, mourning the loss of her wings.

"Well I guess I should be leaving soon." Floyd stood up, and began to put on the vest.

"Hold on a second." Luna began, "You don't honestly think that thing is going to protect you, do you?" Floyd looked down at the vest, it was worse than he had thought. There were holes and bloodstains all over it.

"Well its all I got." Floyd reminded her.

"What about the Nemean sub-dermal spell?" Twilight suggested.

"Whats that?" Floyd asked, throwing the vest off onto the floor.

"Ever heard of the Nemean lion?" Twilight asked, expecting an answer. Floyd stood there.

Twilight sighed, then glanced back up at Floyd."It could not be killed with mortal weapons because its golden fur was impervious to mortal weapons."

"So it would basically make me bullet proof?" Floyd pictured bullets bouncing off of him, like superman.

"Not quite, the spell wouldn't even come close to that the power of the lion." Twilight informed. Floyd snapped out of it, a little disappointed. "It would make you a little more impervious to pain and damage, as if you were wearing a strong suit of armor, but you wouldn't be completely invincible." Twilight levitated a book off of a near shelf and used her magic to flip through the pages.

"Ah, here it is." Twilight stood up, ready to cast the spell. "You might stagger a bit at first, followed by a small headache, but that's nothing you cant handle." Floyd braced himself. A purple aura covered Twilight's horn as she started to focus...

Suddenly a beam of purple magic bursted from Twilight's horn and hit Floyd in the chest, sending him flying against the wall. Spikes eyes shot open and he practically jumped to his feet. Rainbow dash panicked, unaware of what was going on and Luna used her magic to hold her down once again.

"Stop that!" Luna ordered, "Your going to hurt yourself!"

The smoke had cleared. Floyd grunted then stood up. "Well.. did it work?" He asked, walking back to where he was first standing.

"I don't know, well have to wait and see." Twilight sat back down, calming Spike. Floyd put his tank-top on.

"I guess I should be on my way now." Floyd picked up his shotgun.

Luna looked over at Floyd, "Good luck, try to come back in one piece this time." Floyd rolled his eyes and reached for his backpack, but he stopped. Something didn't feel right.

"Huh?" He tried again and managed to pull it up off of the ground, but it had quite a bit of weight to it. Chances were that the sniper rifle was weighing it down, along with all the ammunition inside. He must have been so pumped up with adrenaline that he didn't notice how much it actually weighed. It had to be light enough so that he could safely carry ponies back to the castle. Floyd set it down.

"Whats wrong?" Twilight asked, Floyd tried to pick it up again and had no luck.

"My backpack, it weighs too much."

"Here, stand back." Twilight got up and unwillingly walked over to the backpack. She took a second to observe it. Then she touched it with her horn.

The backpack glowed purple, then returned to normal. "Try now." Floyd bent over to grab the backpack-

Luna screamed in pain and held her head, her horn glowing brightly, Celestia woke up in a daze. Rainbow dash jumped, trying to flap her wings. She fell and landed next to the princess, followed by a painful grunt.

"The barrier!" Celestia warned, "Floyd, hurry!" Floyd didn't have time to put on his windbreaker or his backpack, so he ran to the door with his shotgun ready and Lucky on his belt. Twilight ran to Luna and used her magic to help hold up the barrier.

Floyd kicked open the door and held up his shotgun. There was nobody there.

"Who's there!?" Floyd walked closer to the edge of the indigo colored barrier. A few minutes passed, the ponies inside the castle were frozen, ready to run if necessary.

Floyd stepped outside of the barrier and was greeted with the refreshing drops from a light drizzle. Still alert, he kept his shotgun held up, looking for a target.

"I'm warning you, come out now!" Floyd stood there, waiting for a response. The only response he got was the quiet sound of the drizzle. Floyd lowered his shotgun, and turned around. He slowly began to walk back to the castle doors.

Then he thought he started to hear a hissing sound. He looked back over his shoulder...

A Rocket propelled grenade zoomed right past his face, getting smoke in his eyes. Floyd fell back, landing on the ground. The RPG collided with the barrier, lighting up the area with a decent sized explosion. Luna could be heard from inside. Floyd got up, his grip on the shotgun tightening. Then he heard a motorbike, Floyd looked in the direction of the noise. Several moments passed...

A man on a dirt bike came out from the forest, wielding a baseball bat.

"PEEKABOO!" The man zoomed right up to Floyd from the opposite direction and smashed the baseball bat on his back. The bat shattered into pieces and Floyd fell to the ground. It didn't hurt that much. Floyd jumped back to his feet.

"Guess it works." Floyd raised his shotgun, bronies began to come from out of the forest. They all let out battle cries as they charged for Floyd and the barrier.

Battle music here

Floyd raised his shotgun, took aim, and fired. A couple psychotic bronies flew back, one of them dropping a club in the mud. Floyd barely managed to dodge a some other makeshift stick and lunged for the club. Quickly, Floyd jumped to his feet and smashed the bronies face. He jumped back, regaining his composure.  A brony lunged at Floyd and punched him in the gut. Floyd gave no reaction, grabbed the brony by his shoulders and began to spin around, using the bronies feet to pulverize his foes while knocking others back, or knock them dead. He finally threw the brony into the small crowd, knocking a few over.

"KILL THE REBEL!" Someone shouted. Floyd looked into the distance to see someone with a rifle taking aim the armed psycho was wearing some kind of body armor. Floyd drew his arm back and tossed the club as if it were a knife. It hit the psycho's head with a satisfying clonk, but not before he could pull the trigger. A bullet pierced through a couple of other bronies and hit Floyd in the chest. The bullet didn't go inside Floyd, but left a crude bruise where it hit him. It felt like a frozen paintball going at 10,000 miles per an hour.

"OW!" Floyd quickly tried to shrug off the pain and lifted his shotgun up. He fired 3 more shots, each one killing 5 or 6 bronies. But they kept coming and coming.

Floyd could hear the sound of motorbikes and ATV's in the distance.

"Damn it!" Floyd continued to shoot at the massive onslaught of bronies that were coming for the castle.

A nail board caught Floyd's eye, one of the bronies must have dropped it..

He kicked a brony back, letting them fall on top of each other as he lunged for the nail board.jumped out of the way, Others were still coming. Floyd grabbed the nail board and was swinging the board with brute force. The nail board served as he continued to rip the psychotic bronies to shreds. Just when he thought it couldn't get any worse, an ATV mounted, armored guy along with a couple others on bikes, fired the RPG at the barrier. It collided with a huge explosion. Once again you could  hear screams of pain coming from inside the castle.

Luckily, the explosion cleared out half the bronies. The rest ran for their lives or blacked out from the explosion. Now all that was left was the bikes and ATV's.

Suddenly A brony mounted on a BMX bike rode over some bushes and right at Floyd.

"BLITZKRIEG!" The brony yelled. He jumped in the air and spun around, hitting Floyd in the face with the peg. Thankfully it didn't do much damage, only a bloody nose. Floyd regained his stance as another RPG missle hit the barrier. There was no time to lose. If that barrier came down, it would be game over. Everyone would die.

The guy came at Floyd again, but this time Floyd grabbed the peg and flung him, sending him into the woods. Another man in an ATV charged at Floyd, kicking it up to full speed. Floyd threw the bike at the ATV, sending the driver flying away down the trail. The ATV quickly lost control and hit a tree since it's driver was gone.

There were only a few left. Two men on motorbikes came out from behind the ATV's. One had an axe, the other a sledge hammer. Floyd pulled out his revolver and took 2 shots at the bikers. Surprisingly he managed to get a sick head shot on the axe biker. But next thing he knew, Floyd took a sledgehammer to the stomach at full speed, sending him against a tree. The biker barrel rolled off his bike while holding the sledge, then stood up, brushing the dirt off of his chest. He took his time, walking toward a defenseless Floyd who was coughing mouth fulls of blood. The biker seemed to be savoring every moment.

"Looks like its the end of the road for you, boy." He raised the sledge hammer, ready to deliver the killing blow. Floyd clenched his teeth and rolled out of the way, a sledgehammer smashing the dirt where his head would've been. The biker missed a couple more times before Floyd got back up.

"Just give up already!" The biker swung the sledgehammer at Floyd, Floyd ducked and shot up, grabbing the sledge and smashing the biker in the eye with the handle. The biker stumbled, shouting and cursing. Floyd took the sledgehammer and brought it down on the biker, smashing him into a fucked up pancake that killed him instantly.

Floyd looked over at the ATV's, except this one had an RPG trained on HIM. The driver fired at Floyd, sending a missile in his direction. Floyd barely jumped out of the way, the missile inches away from his head. His left ear was filled with a ringing sound. Floyd raised his revolver at the driver and fired. The first shot missed, but the second one killed the driver. Floyd pointed the revolver at another, but before he could fire they turned around and drove off.

Floyd stood there, only the sound of the drizzle there to comfort him... There was silence for about 10 minutes. Floyd just stood there in the cold, small droplets of rain falling over him, the frigid air and deadly silence embracing him.

"..Damn." Floyd took a knee, paying respects to the deceased. He wiped the sweat from his forehead.

All of a sudden the barrier changed back to a light blue. Twilight came running out, trotting over the carnage.

"Floyd!" Twilight urged, "Its not safe ou-" Twilight stopped. She saw that Floyd looked saddened... about to cry perhaps.

"..I'm not a killer.." He muttered under his breath, unaware that twilight was watching.

"..Floyd.." Twilight nuzzled him at an attempt to comfort him, "Its not your fault."

"It wasn't there's either." Floyd looked at Twilight, she could see the hurt in his eyes. Twilight paused, then her horn began to glow. All of the bodies were gone, out of sight; Not a single drop of blood anywhere. If you blinked you would've missed it.

"There was nothing you could do..." A couple more moments of silence passed, the drizzle being the only exception. Twilight sighed.

"Look, I know this is all too much for you... but regardless its not safe out here.. You should come inside." Floyd rubbed his eyes and stood up, wincing.

"Yea.. lets go." Floyd and Twilight began to head back to the castle, but Floyd stumbled after his third step. "Hey Twilight... I think they might have done a little damage." Floyd placed a hand on his stomach.

"Well its a good thing you had that spell, huh?" Twilight and Floyd passed through the barrier, "Lets get you healed up." Twilight smiled. Floyd was wondering how she still managed to smile after what she's seen. Out of all the ponies, Floyd thought that Twilight would be the first to spiral into insanity.

Anyways, you could hear the drizzle pelting the barrier. It was annoying and somewhat soothing at the same time.

Twilight and Floyd entered the throne room, Luna was asleep, but her horn glowed weakly, she still had enough energy to keep the barrier up, but not for much longer. You could tell she had been crying. Princess Celestia was sitting by her sisters side. Spike snuggled up next to Rainbow dash, both were sound asleep.

"Are they gone?" Celestia asked while she comforted Luna.

"Yea, I drove them off." Floyd sat down as Twilight began to heal him with her magic.

"You mean there still alive?" Celestia stared at him, although the tone in her voice didn't change.

"They had ATV's and Rockets! I'm lucky I wasn't blasted to bits." Celestia paused, then nodded with understanding. She stood up. It was good to see her recovering from her injury. She could walk, but very slowly.

"She's fine, all she needs is some rest." Celestia returned to her spot and took a seat.

"I'll hold the barrier until she wakes up." Twilight offered, Celestia nodded and the barrier changed from a weak blue to a subtle lavender. The light blue aura on Luna's horn vanished. Twilight looked back at Floyd. He won the fight, but he looked like he was hurting.. hurting emotionally. He was tired, weak, sick of fighting and physically exerted.

"Why don't you try to get some rest Floyd." Twilight offered, Floyd shook his head in protest.

"What if they come back?" Floyd inquired.

"Just trust me.." Twilight's voice was firm. It was clear that she wouldn't take no for an answer. It wasn't an argument anymore.

"..Fine." Floyd reluctantly rested his head on his backpack and closed his eyes. It felt so good to actually lay down, and rest.. while he lay down he started to think about the ponies again.

'..If i'm well rested, I stand a better chance..' He thought to himself. Soon enough he was sound asleep...
