“Celestia!” Verturd shouted in anger. He stomped toward the doors of the throne room, were the ruler of Equestria resides. The hall way that he was in, was decorated banners with the cutie marks of the royal sisters. But Verturd didn’t care for two reasons the first being that he has lived there for several years, and the second is that he was pissed off by the princess with the sun on her ass.
“Halt!” Two unicorn guards announced in unison. They had black fur and a short grey and white tails; they wore the standard golden armor with the light blue star in the center of the chest plate and the helmet with the frill that has the same coloring as their tails.
“Let me through.” Verturd said in a false calm tone.
The guards exchanged looks. They could tell something was wrong by looking at Verturd’s normally red eyes, which were a deep emerald green.
“Is there something the matter, sir?” The guard on the right asked.
“No, no nothing’s wrong. I would just like to speak with Celestia, would you please?” He gestured to the doors with his hoof.
“The Princess said that she did not want to disturbed at this time.” The guard on the left stated, with a ‘matter of fact’ tone.
“Oh? Well alright then. I shall take my leave.” He pivoted sharply on his right back hoof and started to trot. Then he teleported away in a pale green flash. The guard on the left sighed heavily.
“You know he just teleported inside, right?”
“Yeah I know.”
Celestia was board out of her mind. She kept looking around at the nearly empty room. The only other things in the room were two pegasus guards, her throne, and herself.
She has had nothing to do all day long, except for raising the sun of course. But there’s something she was forgetting. Something was nagging at her in mind. It was something important, but her brain just wasn’t working right.
As Celestia stared into space, trying to gasp the thought. There was a familiar flash of magic. A very angry looking white stallion, with a two different shades of green in his mane. He gave her a fiery stare with his emerald eyes, which snapped her out of her trance.
“Ah! Verturd, so nice to see-“
“Don’t give me that sh-“
“Ah-hm,” one of the guards said cutting Verturd off.
“Stuff. Please don’t give that.’’
“So, what brings you here?”
Celestia could’ve sworn that his eyes flashed a shade darker. That really scared her, but she played it off with a smile.
Smug bitch! “You already know why I’m here,” Verturd summoned a scroll and started to read. ”I, Princess Celestia decree that Princess Twilight Sparkle and Prince Verturd shall be married.”
Celestia rose her eyebrow, now interested, “Yes, and?”
Verturd’s left eye twitched slightly, “I have a few of issues, first it’s insulting that you used magic to send it to me, when we live in the same castle. Second you know that I don’t like being called a prince because it makes it sound like I’m related to Blueblood. And finally I never wanted to get married.”
“Would you like me to sweeten the deal?”
“Wait what?”
“I can arrange it that you marry all six of the elements.”
“What why!?”
“Any stallion would love having six beautiful mares as wives.”
“Didn’t I just say I don’t want to-” Verturd stopped himself when an idea dawned on him “this was your plan the whole time.”
Celestia put on an actual smug smile. “Now, I took the liberty of packing your bags.”
“Where do you on shipping me off to?”
“Why, you going to live with your six wives. And I got you a train ticket.”
“I give. No matter what I tell you, you’re still going to send me to ponyville and marry the new princess and her friends.”
“Good, now that we’re on the same page. Your train leaves tomorrow morning.”
“Fine whatever.” Verturd said as his returned to their original red.
Verturd tuned to leave. “Wait!” He looked back at Celestia. “How did you teleport in here?”
Verturd smiled evilly. “I have my ways.”
“Which are?”
“Spoilers.”
Celestia sat there flabbergasted. Verturd was happy that he confused the princess, but ticked at the fact that he had to get married. He left the throne room and went to his room. Verturd didn’t want to get married because it leads to foals, and having foals leads to stress and then death. He didn’t have anything against marriage, but it means you limit yourself.
Verturd was lost in thought and almost bumped into Shining Armor. “Why in tartarus would she do this to me?” Verturd mumbled under his breath.
“Verturd, is that you?” Shining asked pulling Verturd back to reality.
“What? Yeah, it’s me that you Shining?”
“How long has it been?”
“About 9 mouths, but what brings you to Canterlot?”
“I’m just helping the princesses find my replacement.”
“Speaking of Celestia, I have to talk to you about something.” Verturd paused having the right words escape him.
“Well, what is it?” Shining Armor asked suspiciously.
“Well…um…you see…uh…,” Verturd sighed heavily, “the princess ordered me to marry Twilight.”
“Alright and you told me this because?”
“It wouldn’t feel right to get married to your sister without your blessing.” Even though I’ll still have to marry her ether way Verturd thought.
“Ok, you have my blessing.”
“Really?”
“Yes, but if you hurt Twily I will beat you with in an inch of your life. Got it?”
Verturd audibility gulped, “I understand sh-” Shining Armor gave him a glare that would make a rhino shit bricks. “Sir.”
“Good, now that we’re on the same page. I think I’ll go and meet with Celestia. Bye Verturd it was great to see you again.”
“Good bye Shining Armor.”
I have to stop being scared of him when he does that, Verturd thought as he trudged to his room.
Verturd got to his room and flopped on his bed. “Why?” he whispered to himself. The day’s events took their toll and he let sleep take him.
