When a strange new radio station, called HPNR, opens up on the Ponyville airwaves, most people are distracted from its sudden appearance in favor of its innovative unheard of new music. When such bands as "Owl City" and "Green Day" begin playing sequentially, most of the Ponyville townsfolk change their stations to the new 98.6 FM.

However, weeks after the initial broadcast, the mysterious DJ "Stryker Z" mentions an event that has not taken place. At first, people simply ignore the comment, thinking the station is no longer trustworthy in it's news. That is, until Discord breaks out of his prison, as aforementioned in the comment from HPNR. This piques Twilight's interest, who
proceeds to rally up a search party to find out what is up with this new signal. What she finds, however, could shake the boundaries of all of Equestria.
