Discord shifted in his magical prison. Two gold bands around his wrists held him in place. He looked up to see Celestia calmly walk toward him. Her wide smile was unnerving.
Discord remembered the day they captured him. Now that he thought about it, they did appear off. Even Fluttershy. He didn't blame her, though. It probably wasn't her fault.
They had used some spell that neutralized his magic. He never saw it coming.
He looked at her cold, unforgiving eyes. They were different than the ones he had known.
"Well, it's time for you to play your part in my plan."
Discord rose an eyebrow. "Your plan for what?"
Celestia's smile grew wider. "For claiming a race as our own."
"And what's my part in all of this?"
"I need your soul."
"..What?"
"A soul of a god is required to open a portal to our new planet. And since I will never hurt Luna, it falls to you."
Discord was strangely calm and collective. He knew he was being sent to a fate worse than death. He would literally cease to be. Yet he was breathing steady and his nerves were collected. There was one thing needed to know.
"What planet?"
"Hmm?"
"What planet are you attacking?"
"Earth. Home of the Humans."
Discord's eyes widened at the news. He knew of the Humans. And something else. Which is why he started laughing. It started as a chuckle and erupted into a belly laugh. Tears were streaming down his face as he calmed down.
He looked up to see Celestia glaring at him. "What is so funny?"
Discord grinned at her. "You are an idiot."
Celestia snarled as she magically electrocuted him. After he stopped convulsing he continued. "You do not want to attack the humans, Tia."
Celestia's eye twitched at the nickname. "The humans pose not threat to us."
Discord chuckled. "It not the humans you should be worried about. It's what hunts them."
"Whatever it is, it still won't be a challenge against us."
Discord shook his head. "Foal, there's something even I am afraid of."
"Oh? And what would that be?" Celestia said as she readied the spell.
Discord looked down for a moment. "He calls himself The Operator," Discord looked back up and sneered in the face of death. "But he's more widely known as Slender Man."
Celestia let loose her spell.
