I sat on the cliff and wondered about my life.
I have no one to love, I was now an outcast, hated by the many ponies because of my actions.
I inhaled some fresh air of the cool night, it was sharp.
Stars dangled in the night sky as the moon shone in a bright, calm ambience. The breeze blew through my mane, it have me some chills but it was all enjoyable for a short while.
I looked down, just to see a small town below. It was a far way down but tonight is the night anyway, the night when I finally made a decision.
I thought of my life so far. It was just darkness, not much happy memories nor any times I cherished with friends. Just mostly memories of my mother's and father's death..........times when I lost friends which are many. Memories when I cried myself to sleep.........
There were more bad memories than good ones.
My body inched closer to the edge. I knew my decision now and I'm going to do it.
"You're the best brother in the world, Firepaw."
I now remembered those times I cherished my time with my little sister. Times when we played around together as kids, when winter came and we always had grins plastered on our faces after a fun snowball fight. Even times when she always had a shoulder to lean on.
"I hate you!!!"
Of course, there were the bad ones. Especially what happened between her and I, it was not pretty.
"Why do you hate me?" I asked as I was about to leave towards the door.
"Because of you!" she growled, I then left...
Those words echoed through my head that day. I hadn't saw her since until five years later. She didn't remembered but I didn't tell her. I was full of regret, I didn't have time to apologize.
Memories of my loving parents and friends flashed in my mind. Ponies did actually cared about me.........and they're now all gone......because of me. I was just a burden to them. Their suffering was all my fault. I didn't deserved to be here, to be living. Everyone was better off without me...
I'm stupid, abnormal, bad luck......all of it. I have nothing to defend me from it.
Seems death was my only option. So with a deep breath, I went off the cliff, headed down towards the bottom. The air rushed through me as I descended. Everything was a blur, nothing but zooming colors.
"You're nothing but trash!"
"I love you Firepaw........"
"How are you bud."
Many more memories came at me, all good and bad......
"I'm useless!" a younger version of me cried. "I'm weak, pathetic!"
"What makes you think that?" a pony said from behind me, it was my dad.
"I was never able to stand up for myself, my friends were hurt because of me. And when I tried to help, it becomes worse," I said, tears flowed down my eyes.
"But-"
"But what!" I snapped. "You don't know what is it like to be beaten up by all the ponies at school! To be rejected and be hated upon"
I started to cry in mid-air.
"I know what it is like. But son, no matter what happens.......it was never your fault. This is life, you shouldn't be beating yourself for other's actions........"
The tears went through the air as I continued to fall...
"I'm sorry, but your wings are jointed backwards, they're crippled. You could glide but there's no way for you to fly, ever," a doctor said in a grim tone. "I'm sorry........"
I descended faster and kept my crippled wings tucked in.
"Since it's Hearths Warming. How about you do it.....as a Hearths Warming gift," my sister said as she continued to hold onto me.
That was the only thing I felt good about. I gave up my life as a petty thief for my sister.
I stood behind a vendor to sell todays merchandise. A customer went up to buy something.
"Say, you're that pony," he said, eyeing me suspiciously.
"What pony," I replied, confused.
The pony then took back his bits as he placed my merchandise to its rightful spot. His face gleamed with disgust.
"That pony that screwed his sister," he said sharply.
A pang of shame shot at me. That was the most horrible thing I've ever done........
I was sprawled all over the floor with multiple cuts, covered in fresh, red blood. I cried in agony, begged for mercy as two other ponies stood over me.
"You disgust me," one of them spat. "You're nothing but a sick little freak. A freak that deserves to die..."
He then slashed at me a few times more with a knife he had a while ago. His partner stood there, with looks of raging hate towards me.
I looked at myself to see many of my scars. I resumed and noticed that I was nearer the bottom. The wind blew through me, my descent was faster.
She suddenly gave me a passionate kiss, which it surprised me.
It felt like hours but it was just mere seconds. Her lips tasted like cherries as it continued.
She finally pulled away, her face crimson red.
"I'm sorry," she squeaked as she turned away. "Please don't hate me."
I was a bit dazed but I regained to my senses. "It's um......okay, I didn't expect that from you, sis."
She looked at me with a glimmer of hope. "I don't know what to say......."
I closed my eyes, ready for my fate. It felt time had stopped itself, everything was frozen, cold. The cold air rushed at my fur and mane, along with the same distinct, sharp sense I have when I inhaled.
It was now just a whistling noise, the only noise that broke silence. The tears were dried up, nothing remained of it.
I did what I could do left, grin. It was small, but it showed that I had made a worthy descision..........
I expected a thud that never came. No sickening crack nor crunch. I opened my eyes to see what happened..........
