Star Shine: Chapter 1: The Sad Beginning

"No. No I'll tell her. Thank you sir." A lime green and yellow unicorn said to a large and bulky earth pony. The unicorn was named Neon Sparks. Neon trotted over to the children who were at recess. "Star? Can you come here for a moment?" Neon said to a little black Pegasus filly. The filly nodded and followed her teacher. There was a rush of whispering throughout the playground.

"I'm not in trouble Ms. Neon am I?" The little filly asked her teacher a bit worried.

"No Star. It's something else." Neon said sadly. "Y-your parents... they passed away just a little bit ago."  Neon said trying to to cry. Star's parents had been Neon's best friends ever since she was a filly.

"M-my parents?" Star said just about to cry. "My parents are... are gone?" Star said not wanting to use that word. Neon hugged Star tightly as they both cried and mourned over the death of Star's parents.

"Star you can go home early today." Neon said wiping Star's tears away. Star nodded and went home to gather a few things. Soon Star landed on the cloud that she lived in. She pushed open the doors, and went into her parent's room. After gathering a few items in there she walked into her room. Star looked around her room for the last time, and grabbed a few of her own items and left.

Star, not wanting to go to an orphanage, flew and flew till she couldn't fly any longer. By that time the moon was starting to rise. Star found a nice sheltered place and told the stars her entire life. After getting to today she started to cry. Star cried herself to sleep. Star woke up terrified and cold.

"Everything shall be ok." A voice behind Star said. Startled Star quickly turned around to see the princess of the night, Princess Luna. "Come little one." Princess Luna said before taking off. Star followed the moon princess as she sang a beautiful song. Soon other foals came. Later they landed and found a new land. "We must return to Canterlot my children of the night, for our sister shall be rising thou sun." Princess Luna said before taking off towards the mountains, in which Canterlot lays. Star was exhausted so she looked for some were to sleep. She soon found a soft bed of moss and fell asleep. This dream was different than the last one. It was every memory Star shared with her parents. Right at the end her parents came to her.

"We will always be with you." They said.
