SilverStar Flame was in the library reading. She did not usually read on a regular basis, but she did read. Though, her reading was not for the fun of it at the moment. She was reading up on some information about the Alicorns. She had almost completed her training (or, so she thought). So, she decided to read to gather some more information. Hoping that there will be something new she could learn and store within her mind for any future need of it.

While looking through the table of contents for the book she decided to read, one chapter caught her eye.

"Chapter VII: A Missing Destiny," SilverStar Flame read the chapter name aloud. She gave a perplexed look, before turning to the chapter. She, then, began to read the chapter aloud.

"When somepony discovers their destiny of being an Alicorn Princess, their previous destiny changes. This is due to them letting go of their other path of destiny chosen for them if they were to not become an Alicorn. If somepony accepts their destiny of being an Alicorn, and learn the necessary materials, their previous Cutie Mark will vanish. This will allow for them to obtain their Alicorn Cutie Mark- the mark that shows what their destiny as an Alicorn is. Though, their Alicorn destiny will be related to their 'ordinary' destiny. Their Alicorn destiny will take their 'ordinary' destiny to a new level, so they will be sure to rule over it as an Alicorn Princess. So, one should not be alarmed if they are an Alicorn who wakes to find a blank flank. This can be fixed by them discovering the final part in their journey of destiny- what their true destiny is, as an Alicorn." SilverStar Flame reread the paragraph, over and over again, until she better understood it.

So, does this mean, that I too, will wake with a blank flank one day? she asked herself, mentally. She gave out a curious hmm before closing the book with her magic, and taking it over to the Unicorn librarian to check it out.

"I would like to check this book out please," she stated as she placed the book on the desk.

The light purple librarian with white hair tied into a bun, and cat glasses, read the cover of the book.

"The Destiny of an Alicorn, wise choice my dear," she stated inspecting the Alicorn that stood before her with a smile. The librarian proceeded to pick up the book with her magic, open it, and stamp it, before handing it over to SilverStar Flame, who had prepared her horn to use the magic to take the book, and place it within her bag.

"Thank you!" SilverStar Flame replied before galloping out of the library and back to her small home.

On her way home, SilverStar Flame glanced about at the Unicorns that roamed the streets. Canterlot was a beautiful place. Though, at times, it did feel a bit crowded- being a city and all. Either way, SilverStar Flame had grown use to it. With a smile, she approached her house, opened the door, and stepped inside.

"I AM HOME!" she called, so her dragon companion could hear.

Like a few other selected students, when she was attending Celestia's School of Magic, to get accepted, she had to hatch a dragon egg. Funny though, she was a previously a Pegasus, yet, using the stars, she was able to summon magic. Her parents use to tell her when she was a filly that magic and destiny lied within the stars. That was how she got her Cutie Mark. She was a curious filly, so one night, when the moon was full and the stars were bright, she flew farther up into the sky, and, using sheer willpower, tried controlling the stars. She somehow managed to summon magic from them. Which she used to create a shooting star. Though, to this day, it still intrigues her, and many others, that she managed to control the stars.

SilverStar Flame sighed at the memory as her dragon companion walked out appearing sleepy.

He was a fiery red with light brown-almost tan- hair. Yes, hair. He had no spikes, he had only hair. Hair that ran from the top of his head, to the tip of his tail. He was had kind, brown eyes, that were full of youthful light. To his credit with a lack of spikes, he did have a small nub-of-a-horn on his nose, and two nubby-horns at the top of his head. Each being next to a pointed ear.

He gave a yawn as he stretched. Being sleepy, he could not quite process that his friend's return had awoken him from his slumber.

He soon came to his senses, and saw his friend- who was more of a mother to him- smiles brightly at him.

"STAR! You are home!" he called as he ran over to her and hugged her leg. Star was the nick-name he had given her, for he thought her name too long and complex. He was a baby after all.

SilverStar Flame chuckled kindly, as she removed her front right leg from his grip, to wrap it around him. Her being a pony could not truly hug him, so, her gesture makes up for the lack of hugs she could give.

"Hey, Rhino," she said before removing her leg from around him and walking over to a desk that was located downstairs, so she could continue reading that chapter on the missing destiny idea.

Rhino ran over to her and glanced over he shoulder as she pulled out the book.

"Whatcha go there, Star?" he asked excitedly. He did enjoy books. So, it was not odd for him to become excited when he sees a new one.

"It is a book about an Alicorn's destiny. I figured it would help me better understand mine as an Alicorn."

Rhino glanced over the book a bit. "It seems interesting...," he mumbled.

SilverStar Flame smiled. "It is, so far..."
