The Prisoner of Darkness
chapter 4
Previous Chapter“I refuse to let you take him!” Hooves pounded the earth as multiple ponies ran across the vast field of the barren wasteland, known as the Badlands.
“It ends here Disaster!” Celestia ran past her soldiers and brandished her blood-stained,grayish-black halberd. Disaster stopped where she was and turned around, her chest heaving up and down as she struggled to gulp down air.
“You killed my mate and now you wish to end the life of my foal!?” Disaster screamed at Celestia as she hugged her child closer to her breasts.
“That foal could well end us all! A Nightmare-Alicorn hybrid is bound to have some sort of insanity plague his mind, just like the parents before him!” Celestia retorted. Disaster screamed at the top of her lungs.
“Then you shall die for you ignorance sister!” She said and placed the foal on the ground gently. Celestia looked over Disaster one last time, before she would ultimately end her life. Disaster’s jet black mane, with red streaks running through each side, flowed behind her like a snake ready to strike. Her tail and fur were all black. Her horn was snapped off from a previous fight with Celestia. Her left eye was closed permanently with a small scar covering the eyelid, though Celestia didn’t know from whom she got the wound from. Disaster’s left pupil was jet black, while her iris was a deep crimson. Half of a skeleton’s spine covered her back that also connected to a bone jaw that covered the left side of her face and went from her chin to her collar bone. Her arms and legs were thick with muscle. Her abs were hardened into a well defined six-pack she had gotten from constant training. Disaster wore only a small jacket that covered her breasts and exposed her stomach, and a pair of blue denim jeans.
Celestia inhaled and exhaled, trying to calm her nerves.
“Shall we begin then?” She asked and raised her halberd before her.
“I shall protect this foal with my life!” Disaster stated and lunged at Celestia…
Chaos awoke with a fright as something heavy landed on his stomach.
“Good morning sleepyhead.” Came a low, sinister-sounding female voice that made the fur on the back of Chaos’ neck stand up. He quickly sat up and found that there was nothing on his stomach, and nopony in sight. He found himself in a small medical room, with three beds and a curtain each, to block out unwanted guests’ prying eyes.
“Serenity… Is that you?” Chaos asked quietly in case someone was listening. He felt a pressure in the back of his mind, which confirmed who it was.
“Did you forget about me only after six months?” Serenity questioned him. He shook his head.
“No… However I wasn't expecting you to come out.” Chaos stated, and felt the pressure in the back of his mind grow larger.
“Well… I had to make the impression on the others that you are super powerful. Of course, I didn’t get too serious. If I had, then either me or that mare would've had to die to stop the fight.” Serenity declared and this made Chaos sigh with frustration.
“Y-you moron…! That w-wasn't a ve...ry smart i-idea.” Chaos scolded Serenity.
“Ah… I almost forgot to fix that stammering of yours. Shoulda told me you still had that problem.” She told him. Chaos felt a burning sensation in his throat. His immediate instinct told him to scratch at it, and it took all of his will not to. As the minutes passed by the burning in his throat slowly subsided. “That atta do it.” Serenity said, satisfied with her work. Chaos cleared his throat before talking.
“So… can you tell me why you have come out after all this time?” Chaos questioned her. Serenity was quiet for some time, pondering on what to say.
“I was looking up info on…. something” She told him.
“Is this information on why you exist?” Chaos asked, curious. Serenity chuckled slightly.
“We both know no one can explain that.” She stated jokingly. The door to the medical room suddenly swung open, making Chaos jump and squeal, his often cute reaction when scared. He leaned forward a little and pushed back the curtains to see who it was. F.Angel walked in, a very concerned look on her face. She walked over to him and sat on the bed.
“You scared me half to death you know. I don’t know how i’d live with myself if you died.” She stated and sighed. Chaos found this…. disturbing, seeing as how they barely know each other.
“And why are you so concerned for me?” He asked out of curiosity. She smiled.
“Our mothers were best friends. Of course, your mother saved mine from certain death, which allowed for me to be born. I am indebted to your bloodline and will serve you for all eternity, just as my mother did for Disaster.” She stated proudly. Chaos scratched the back of his head, lost for words.
“If you find me worthy then… I will not stop you.” He said shyly. F. Angel leaned forward until they were face to face.
“When did you stop stuttering?” She asked curiously. Chaos had forgotten about that and was now in a panic. She laughed and shrugged it off. “Well, i won’t question the leader’s choices. Also, if you want anything just let me know. From sex to murder, I am willing to do it all.” She stated and stood. up. “See ya later.” She said and left.
“Well, she was a nice one wasn't she?” Serenity said. Chaos could feel a strange oppression in the back of his mind.
“Are you… Jealous?” Chaos asked, and he felt Serenity shrink slowly from his mind.
“Sh-sh-shut it! I have no interest in what you do with other women!” She said. Chaos felt the force leave completely and sighed with relief.
“Killing Celestia may be harder than i once thought…” Chaos said to himself as he lay back down to sleep. “I can make use of that girl at least…” And with that he went to sleep….
