The world tilted and span at a rapid, dizzying pace, I was so very sure I was going to vomit, how... Un-royal, Blueblood would have a fit if he knew I vomited in court, but the twisting twirling colors moving round and round in a spiral of candy colored chaos was just not to good on the stomach, and the fact that a snug loop had been wrapped around my stomach made it even worse.
"Disc-o-o-o-ord!" I shouted, no, I took control of the Royal Canterlot Voice, even more impressive than Luna's. The whirling immediately stopped, replaced by something worse; The mind bogglingly beautiful singing voice of the creature gripping me in it's tail.
"I'm howlin' at the moon! And sleepin' in the middle of a summer afternoon! Disco-o-ord!
Whatever did we do, to make you take our world awa-a-a-ay!"
I glared at the loathsome creature, well... Not exactly, loathsome shall we say, more like...
Annoying.
"And what was the point of that, except to make my entire court swoon?"
"Nothing my love, I was really just hoping to make you swoon, but your court is good enough."
I sighed, "Discord..." And found a claw resting gently on my lips.
"Now then Tia dear, let's not be hasty..." He smirked, his face too close for comfort. "You have a choice..." He leaned closer and whispered softly into my ear, "Let me kiss you here, or in your bedroom."
I could feel heat stealing over my face, ever since his declaration of his love for me, fortunately, he had the smarts to request to speak to me in private before he did so, I had been given the toughest choice in my life; Follow what my heart told me, or follow what decorum told me. I wanted to follow my heart, really, but how would the public react to princess Celestia in a relationship with the most well known troublemaker in Equestria?
I loved this troublemaker, but I couldn't let him shock the already shocked court, give half of them heart attacks, he would, so I whispered back, "In my bedroom." Calling me his 'love' was not very helpful, but it was just seen as nickname, he did it all the time.
He whispered into my ear again, "Oh? I'd much rather do it here~"
I whispered back, "Do you want to give them all heart attacks?!"
He laughed, that lovely, glorious laugh of his... And spoke without whispering, "Your bedroom it is then!"

A sudden cold stone wall pressed against my back, making me shudder, and then he kissed me.
A heat burned through my body, lighting every nerve on fire, and then an ache started in my heart, as I was distracted from this joy by the choice still weighing on me, he had said he would go with whatever I wanted after a month, as long as I was responsive to him the entirety of the month, I knew he would keep his word, Discord doesn't make promises lightly, he also agreed to use a silly little promise one of Twilight's friends made, a, 'pinkie promise', very dangerous to break one, I've been told.
He stopped kissing me to give a rebuking look, he had told me to not think about it too much, perhaps ask Luna, or Twilight for help, I'd sent a letter to Twilight, saying something about it being a friend, but wasn't sure how to bring it up to Luna.
I smiled weakly, sometimes it get's a little annoying that he can read my mind. "Sorry."
He hugged me, the sudden tight and intimate contact that wasn't a kiss startled me, and first I tried to push away, but quickly relaxed into the hug, truly smiling now. I've always loved his hugs.
"Have you?~" The sudden whisper was rather expected, I've gotten better at not leaping into the air when he does that. He continued in that oh so- Nope, not finishing that thought.
"Yeah, you have. Hah! I can finish that thought for you."
I scrunched my nose, "Don't, thanks."
He laughed, and kissed the top of my head, next to my horn, "I love you, you know that, right?"
"Of course, and I love you too." I frowned slightly. Where are you going with this?
Just checking. I leapt at the that voice spirited into my head, jerking violently, he crushed me
tighter into the hug, speaking out loud, "Sorry, didn't mean to do that."
I released a my held breath, and sighed, slumping, "Uh, how long have you been able to do that?"
He stayed silent.
"Discord?"
He chuckled nervously, "Ah, only recently..."

“Uh, you okay?"
No? I just noted that not only can you violate ponies' minds, but you can intrude on them as well.
He chuckled, "Eheheh..."
Do it again.
He hesitated, "You sure about that...? You reacted rather... Violently the first time..."
I know, but I'm ready this time.
If you say so.
I shivered, his voice felt completely an utterly wrong, how he managed to not do it at other times was a mystery. You have got to do this during court whenever it gets boring.
He laughed in my mind, it wasn't exactly sound, it was more like a feeling of laughing, a merry joy flooding my mind, "Woah, try not to do that." The pure glee my mind had been soaked with drenched into my voice, giving me a chipper tone, not unlike miss Pie.
"Okay, sure." He smirked at me, and teleported us, we landed with a thump on my bed, me on his chest, he had used a spell earlier to remove my glamour spell, which gave me the mane and extra height, truly I had a baby pink mane, which does not move at all, and I'm only Twilight's height.
He sighed, a satisfied sigh, and whispered, "I want this, what's happening right now, to last forever."
I whispered back, "I could get Twilight to freeze it in stone."
He snorted, "Sparkle would hardly be willing to freeze her mentor and ruler in stone."
I laughed, "I was joking."
He smirked, "I considered it already."
I blinked, really? He'd already considered something like this...?
He kissed my nose, "Course, if I can convince you to stay with me forever, I'd be the richest creature in the universe, and not because you're a princess."
I felt a heat flare across my face, "Heh." I wasn't really sure what to say to that.
He whispered into my ear, “You have a few weeks; live a little!” He nibbled my ear a little, making me squeak.
I opened my mouth and found it quickly snatched up by his mouth, Discord rapidly pulling me into a kiss, and I moaned slightly, my face turner a few shades pinker.
I broke the kiss nervously, I was always comfortable around Discord, always had been, that was what attracted me to him in the first place, he didn’t care for my crown, or my title, I wasn’t ‘Princess’, to him, I was Tia to him. But I felt on edge right now, teetering precariously on the edge of a cliff, safety on one side, terror on the other.
He smiled somewhat sadly, “It scares you, doesn’t it? Either ‘go with the flow’, or break from the norm and follow your heart, and the desicion made even bigger by being one of three rulers of this country,” He leaned forwards and whispered the last part in my ear, “I’ll always love you, no matter what, and I know that I’ve taken your heart; and no other love will quite be the same, and that satisfies me.”
He pulled me beside him, and I snuggled up to him, sighing tiredly, this was the second time he’d done this, he’d gone into court with me everyday this week, he had given me four weeks, and had disrupted my court twice, other times he was patient, and gave well thought out suggestions.
I felt the world draining away, and settled in for sleep.

My internal alarm clock didn’t wake me up, my first horrified thought when I say the [12:34 PM] on my clock was, horseapples! the sun! I then relaxed upon seeing that it was up in it’s normal routine, I was then confused as to where Discord was, I was clearly the only one in the room, unless he was teasing me.
Which he probably wasn’t.
I turned away from my window and walked back to the bed, a note had been… Stapled, to my pillow.
Hi Tia.
Raised the sun for you, so don’t freak out. Though you probably already did.
Since you decided to sleep in I took over court for you.

I snorted, then paused, wait, what?

Morning court looked fairly normal, except for the draconequus sitting on my throne looking somewhat amused, my court looked relieved and at the same time confused as I wandered in.
He grinned at me, “So, miss sleepy head finally decided to wake up, hmm?”
I huff, and climb up the five actually fairly large steps to my throne and sit down next to him, “Maybe, thanks for making me freak out.”
“Over?”
“The thought that Luna could be freaking out because she can’t lower the moon, thus making the public freak out and decide to riot against her.”
“Heh, sorry…”
“It’s okay, so, what’s going on right now?”
“Two ponies arguing over one tree, used to be on one side of the property, but it grew up, and now it’s on both sides.”
“Farmers?”
“Nah, just normal citizens.”
“Implying that farmers aren’t normal. Good to know.”
“Didn’t say that, farmers are special, I love farmers.”
“What about Applejack?”
“Nah, but I like Granny Smith, and Applebloom, and that red fellow.”
“Ah, Applebloom, always getting into trouble, I see why you’d like her.”
“My first idea was cut the tree in half, but they’d rather not do that. So I suggested they share the fruit that it makes.”
“Good idea, what’s next?”
“Unfortunately? Applejack.”
“What?”
“Yeah, I had to send her out into the hallway, she was very loudly arguing with a carrot farmer who apparently got Mister Macintosh drunk, and then bought a bat sanctuary the Apples just put up.”
“Should I go get her?”
“Please do.”
“K.”
I got up and headed for the hallway outside of my court, Applejack sat looking fairly calm, a small stack of papers sat next to her, with a neat hoofwriting that could only be Twilight’s.
“Hi, Applejack.”
She looked up at me with a startled look, as though she had been daydreaming, “Oh, hullo, miss, er, do yah know if’n Discord’s done with those other ponies yet?”
I smiled at her, “Yeah, he sent me to get you.”
She smiled with relief, I noted a smudgy dark spot under her eye, and I used my magic to wipe at it, and more darkness appeared, she looked at me with a startled expression, and chuckled nervously, “Heh, haven’t been sleeping very well, miss, Rare’s put some of her makeup on me so I’d look a lil’ more presentable.”
I smiled, “I understand, c’mon then.”
Trotting back into the courtroom, I climbed back up my perch, and glanced up at Discord, as Applejack took a position next to the carrot farmer.
“So, according to Appleja-”
“She’s LYING! That cheating scumbag-” The carrot farmers outburst was rapidly shut up with a muzzle, a rather humiliating thing to wear.
He glanced at Applejack, who was breathing deeply to try and stay calm, she cleared her throat, “Er, as the element of honesty, I think I’m pretty sure ah’m not lyin’.”
Discord laughed, and nodded, “Me too, now,” he gave the carrot farmer a reproachful glance, “according to Applejack You got her brother, Macintosh, drunk, and then bought a piece of her land dedicated to… Vampire fruit bats.”
Applejack nodded, satisfied that it fit with what she said.
The carrot farmer glared at Applejack, and shook her head, no.
“So what did you do?” The muzzle disappeared, “And no insulting miss Applejack here, she’s not insulting you, is she?”
The carrot farmers orange face turned a bright red, and she nodded, “I didn’t get him drunk, we made a bargain.”
He glanced at Applejack, “Do you have any proof he was drunk, except by your own word?”
She lit up happily, and quickly brought out Twilight’s papers, “Mah friend Twilight wrote these down for me! Showing who all saw Macintosh wobblin’ around like he’d jumped off a merry-go-round.”
She handed Discord the papers, then jumped slightly, “Oh! They’re only on the first page. heh, fergot to mention that…”
He glanced at it, “So, Twilight, Granny Smith, Applebloom, You, Pinkie Pie, Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle, and Rarity, that all?”
She nodded nervously, tugging at her ponytail, “Yeah, Twilight came with me, but only cause she had some business with Lu- Princess Luna, so I don’t know where she is right now, and the rest are in Ponyville.”
He glanced at me, “Go get Twilight?”
I nodded, and got up, “I’ll be back with Twilight in a bit, k Applejack?”
She nodded, and sat down.
I trotted off.

I knocked on Luna’s door politely, and the door was opened after a few whispers by a pony-tailed Twilight, who beamed at me, “Hey, Princess!”
I smiled at her, “Please, Twilight! It’s Celly, all my friends call me Celly.”
She opened her mouth to retort, but just smiled instead, “Okay, lemme see if Luna want’s to let you in.” She giggled.
I nodded, what in the world is going on in there? I heard some more hushed whispers, and then Twilight opened the door wide enough for me to squeeze in, “Hurry! Hurry!”
I quickly wiggled through the door, and found the room dimly lit by one of several new pieces of technology, the, ‘home theater’.
Otherwise known as a ‘TV’.
Luna was just as pony-tailed, and was pouring popped popcorn into a bowl, “Hi Celly! We’re marathoning a movie series, whatcha’ need?”
I shook my head, “I came by to nab Twilight, Applejack said she’s a witness.”
Luna immediately perked up, as did Twilight, Twilight spoke first, “Oh, Applejacks getting her case seen?”
Luna spoke next, “Murder? Rape? Thievery? Tell me Celly, give me details and I’ll have it sorted in seconds.”
I laughed, “Luna, those things don’t happen nowadays. And yeah, Discord sent me to get you.”
They looked at each other in confusion, Twilight spoke first again, “Er, what do you mean by ‘Discord’?”
Oh, oops.
“Ehehehe, I kinda slept in and he decided to take over morning court.”
“But… He’s not destroyed it, has he?”
I blinked, this behaviour was very odd for Discord, indeed, still. “No, he hasn’t destroyed it, now Twilight, can you please please please come with me for a little bit?”
She laughed, “You don’t have to say please, prin- uh, I mean, Celly.”
I smiled, yes! an improvement.
I fired up my magic, and nodded at Luna, “I’ll have her back in ten minutes!”
She grinned, “Good to hear!”
I teleported us.

We popped into the courtroom almost immediately, startling everyone but Discord, who expects everything.
He smiled at Twilight, “Applejack says you saw Macintosh wandering around drunk out of his horseshoes?” Straight to the point. Fairly normal.
She nodded, not skipping a beat. “Yeah. And then I escorted him to Sweet Apple Acres, and I met Pinkie Pie, and the CMC with Rarity on the way.”
Volunteering information, not usually a smart thing, but it is with Discord. Most of the time.
He smiled, and turned to the carrot farmer, “Nothing will happen, the Apples will keep the land, and you will stay off it.”
The carrot farmer fumed, “But the bats will eat my crops!”
“Not with all them juicy apples right there!” Applejack retorted, glaring at the carrot farmer.
Discord interrupted their bantering, “Go home, or I’m getting a restraining order for Applejack.”
Applejack grinned at him, and turned and left, the carrot farmer looked like she was planning on saying something, and decided not to, turning and leaving as well, Discord stretched out, “Well, I’m bored, c’mon let’s go fine Luna, and deliver Twilight back to her.” I nod.

Luna perks up when she sees Twilight enter the room, and smiles at me, I made Discord stay in the hallway.
“Hey Celly! Wanta join?”
I shook my head, “No thanks, I have some… Business, to do.”
Twilight grinned at me, “Okay then Prin- Celly.”
Luna nodded, “See ya later.”
I turned at left the room, smiling at Discord, “Apparently I have business to attend to.” I turned my smile into a smirk.
He raised an eyebrow, “And what is this ‘business’, pray tell?”
I gave him a lopsided grin, “How far can you teleport?”

I wobbled around dizzily, “Not what I meant, but that works.” He had, in rapid succession, teleported us to all the major points in the world.
He smirked, “And what did you mean?”
“Like, I dunno, you could’ve told me how far you could teleport?”
“Eh, well what do you want to do?”
“Paris.”

I blinked, we sat at a wrought iron table, and I was now wearing one of miss Raritys dresses, I know because I visited her to get a dress made for- stopthinkingstopthinkingstopthinking-
“I can hear that.”
“Sorry.” I took a sip of tea. He munched on a croissant, “I thought you didn’t eat?”
“I only eat three things; Croissants, soup, and you.”
My face burned, flustered, “Oh, uh…”
He grinned at me.
I glared at him, “Not in public, that’s not fair to me.”
He purred, “But you’re cuuuute when you’re flustered, especially in public.”
I shivered, and tried to glare at him, but a smile was tugging at my face, completely ruining it.
He laughed, and walked over to me, he kneeled down to my level and hugged me, I hugged him back, relaxing into the warm embrace, I breathed in deeply, then breathed out.
I was happy. I was comfortable, and this… This was how I wanted to spend the rest of time.
He gave me a kiss on the cheek, and, resting his cheek on mine, whispered; “Then what are we waiting for?”
And he whisked me off.

The sunset was gorgeous, orange, red, pink, purple, and white collapsing into a stunning array of color. The sky was partly cloudy, the white clouds nearest the sunset tinted pink, the clouds further away slowly turning white, the sky started orange, fading into a red stripe, melting pink, turning purple, and finally changing to blue.
I snuggled closer to Discord, as the night turned colder, I had stopped actually looking at my sunsets and sunrises, but he had made me, and such an ordinary thing was actually magical. I was quite fine with sitting in the cold to watch such a beautiful thing…
“I, personally, enjoy watching it too.”
I smile, “Yeah…” I squeaked as he planted a kiss on my neck, causing me to shiver, I glared at him, while he smirked playfully, “What did you do that for?”
He laughed, “I have my reasons.”
“You always have your reasons.”
“And here I thought I was the jokester.” He smiled.
I shook my head, but smiled, he had selected a hill out in the middle of nowhere, it was fairly chilly, but there wasn’t a wind, and so it was fine, I smiled as stars started to appear in the sky, little twinkling dots whirling into patterns, and the moon, a large white orb, beautiful, cresting the edge of the world, and rising into the black silk sky.
He whispered into my ear, “You, are far more beautiful, than either of these things.”
I blushed, “Am-” Before I could properly protest he stole a kiss, snatching it up like a foal snatching up candy. I shivered and moaned, my legs twitched, and he broke the kiss, like a glass jar dropped, I felt a pout come on.
He laughed, “You can have as many kisses as you like.”
“Then kiss me til the world ends.”
“As you wish, my love.” And he kissed me.

I felt a tug on my magic, and semi willingly pulled the sun into proper orbit, I really wanted this night to last forever, just laying here and cuddling with Discord, but Luna would freak, and food couldn’t grow… So many problems with that, which is why I couldn’t let Luna do it when she turned Nightmare Moon, so many awful memories associated with that name…
Discord traced a claw down the side of my face, distracting me, he wore a saddened expression, “Don’t think about Nightmare Moon, think of now, not then.”
I smiled, he never fails to make me smile. “Okay, now, not then.”
He kissed my cheek, “C’mon, we really should be getting back.”
I sighed, I did not want to, at all, “Okay…”
“Or…”
I glance up, “Or what?”
He smirked, “We could take a day off, send a letter to Luna, and Twilight.”
That sounded like a very good idea.

I woke with a yawn, as the loud POP! Rang through my room, I grabbed the note fluttering to the ground, and used my magic to light the letter,

I called out to him, “Nothing!” I picked up the piece of paper which said;

I snorted, as if, and flipped the paper over, writing on it, I then cast a spell to send it back to the original sender.
I then went downstairs and ate breakfast.

(The Middle Of Nowhere)
The loud POP! Hardly startled me, and I grabbed the paper automatically, Twilight must have sent her’s back, flipping it over, I read her note, and laughed, before hoofing it to Discord.
Discord-
Uhuh, sure.
Celly-
If that was true I’m going to kill you AND Discord.
He laughed, and kissed my nose, “She couldn’t kill me, not strong enough”
I raised an eyebrow skeptically, “One, Elements of Harmony on her side, two, she has a lot more magic than you think.”
He nodded, “I know. Just don’t care to know precisely how much magic she has.”
I shook my head, and started walking again, I had no idea where we we’re headed, only that we were going there. I had let Discord decide where we were going to, he simply pointed me in a direction and said, “Walk that way.”
Sometimes it got quite frustrating that he could read my mind but I couldn’t read his.
He chuckled, shaking his head, “I like being in your head, gives me an idea of what to get you for your birthday.”
I shook my head, “Uhuh.” I paused in my walking, thinking back, “Wait, how did you know I’m a virgin?”
He grinned, “I read your diary.”
I glared at him, “That’s private, thank you very much.”
He laughed, “Not with me, it’s not!”
I huffed, “So, where are we going?”
He smirked, “Not telling, it’s a secret.”
I turned my head back around as I nearly tripped, and focused on walking.

Large cliffs descended to my right, and a sharp incline rose to my left, I peered down, the cliffs disappeared into nothingness. Up ahead the path got even skinnier, and sharper, and the incline on the left became cliffs like the ones on the right.
“Where are we going again?”
“Already told you, it’s a secret.”
I huffed, not an answer I wanted.
And continued walking.

The cave was fairly dark, so I used my magic to light it, I didn’t notice anything particularly amazing about this particular cave, so I didn’t understand why he was so cheerful about being in a damp, cold, dark cave.
He smirked at me, obviously amused, but didn’t say anything.
Then the cave opened up, and I gasped.
A waterfall cascaded from an unknown source, tumbling down into a black pit, the walls sparkled with minerals, and the floor was worn smooth, a pool sat at the other end of the cavern, half of the waterfall spilling into it as though custom made.
“What… What is this place?” There was awe in my voice.
“Home, for me.” Oh, in the past, I never visited him, only he visited me, so I never saw his home…
“It’s beautiful.”
“Eh, gets kinda old when you live here.”
“So this is where we’re spending the day?”
“And night.”
“Right…” I set off to explore, tracing my hoof along the walls, noting odd scratch marks at random intervals, but I ignored it for the most part. like a caged beast trying to escape. I jumped only slightly at monotone thought that sounded in my head, it was a distracted thought, and I glanced over at Discord, who was running his claws over the wall. I shivered, though from the air or from the implications, I don’t know.
I made my way over to the pool, hesitantly dipping a hoof in the water, and jumping back in surprise, the water was warm, I set my hoof in the water and picked up my other one, immediatly sliding in, I yelped as I tried to find purchase on the strange material, and spotted before I went under Discord head jerking up and looking at me in alarm.

Black, colorless, dark void, and then a pinprick of light, and slowly colors returned, revealing a wet and concerned Discord, looking at me edgily, I grunted, “Wha-” And stopped talking, the fire in my lungs made it impossible to talk.
“You alright? You slid in and inhaled some water…”
I nodded, rubbing my throat, “How- Why didn’t, ow, you use your magic? You’re wet.” I grimaced.
He grinned sheepishly, “The minerals in the wall have a way of… Changing my magic, sorta, I didn’t know if I’d crush you or not be able to pick you up at all.” He nodded, “Hooves aren’t made for gripping that material, don’t do that.”
I shook my head, “I doubt anything could grip that, how’d you get us out anyway?”
With a bored expression he held his paw and claw up.
“Oh, right.”
“I lived here, remember?”
“Eheheh…”
He chuckled, “I liked this cave mostly ‘cause of the water, but the minerals in the walls are nice, too.”
“What, for their decorative properties?” I tilted my head.
“Nah, not back then, but now…” He grinned.
I frowned, something about that sentence sounded wrong, but…
“So what are we gonna do?” One thing to note, never, ever, ask Discord what he wants to do. Though it can sometimes be a brilliant and well thought out plan, it’s usually just madmans ramblings.
He beamed at me, “I thought we’d swim.”
Oh God.
“Eh, I might just sit here and let my lungs recover, least for a bit.”
“M’kay.” He disappeared, and I leaned over the edge of the water, just managing to catch glimpses of him, the pool clearly widened at the bottom. He surfaced next to me with a smirk, and I laughed as the water made his face look all wrong.
“Marry me, Tia, my love!” He laughed, enjoying himself.
I shook my head wearily as a spear of anxiety shot through me, “I- Not now, it’s not-”
He kissed, a habit he’d started to get me to shut up, and then whispered in my ear, “Tia, we have the day and the night to ourselves, live a little! Forget decorum for a bit.”
I hesitated, my blood still rushing through my body, mainly to my cheeks, and other unmentionable areas, and my heart pounding like a train, “Well… I don’t know…”
He kissed my cheek, “Pleeeaaase?”
I sighed, “Alright Discord, but only for today.”
He whooped, and then yelped as he fell backwards into the water, he came up spluttering, making me laugh, he spoke sarcastically, “Care to join me?”
“I do.” I hesitantly moved out into the water, taking a deep breath as a slid under, and came up with wings spread to give me some floatation.
He nuzzled my cheek, before disappearing under the water, I reeeeaaally didn’t want to go down there, and whined, Discooooord!
I’m howlin’ at the moon~!
I jerked, limbs flailing at the sudden assault on my senses, but calmed down quickly, sorry his thoughts were a whisper.
It’s okay, but don’t go singing at me, you’ll make me swoon and then I’ll drown.

Baby. I yelped as he instantly surfaced next me, he grabbed me round the waist, winked and said, “Deep breath, sweetheart.” I knew that he wasn’t joking, and took a desperate breath as the world disappeared.
I coughed as my hooves hit hard stone, and air surrounded me, I looked around in confusion, “But, this isn’t…?”
His head popped up next to me, “It was in case I needed to store somebody, or hide really quick.”
“Oh, huh.”
Wait, store?
“Yeah, now I can keep my love here forever~”
“Please don’t.” Never can tell if he’s joking or not.
He grinned, “I only will if you want me too.”
Well… “But, my kingdom? Plus I still have a week and half or so.”
“Two and a half, but still, you are entertaining the idea~”
I felt heat rush into my face, “Well… It’s a nice idea, but…”
“Forget decorum!” I could tell he was getting frustrated with me, “live a little, love!”
I nodded, “Okay, fine, what do you wanna do, other than trying to drown me.”
His laughter echoed in the small space, and kissed me, pushing me backwards against the back wall of the space. I squeaked, and he stopped kissing me to whisper in my ear, “I have an idea~”
If my face wasn’t red already, it most definitely was now, “Er, no, no thank you.”
He just smirked at me.
I wiggled uncomfortably, and looked down at my hooves. He gently pushed my chin up with his claw, and a memory flashed through my mind,
Rain fell around me, pattering on my head, darkening my world,
I stared at the earth, willing it to take away the ache I felt, and
something soft and furry pushed it’s way under my chin, nudging
it up, I found myself staring into a strange face, definitely not pony,
but nothing like I’d ever seen before, either, it spoke, with a quiet
intelligence, “Hey! Chin up, the world hasn’t ended, has it?”
‘It’ made me laugh.
A sudden attack of tears blurred my vision, and I hugged him tightly, not wanting to ever let go.
He hugged me back, gently, running his claws through my mane, shushing me, being the exact opposite of what ponies think he is, kind, caring, and I just cried, because I was tired of all this, of choices and decorum, I was exhausted, I couldn’t handle this any longer, it had to stop.

“-And I have a special announcement to make.”
The courtyard in front of me was full to the bursting, the other rulers of the country, the element bearers, and Discord sat next to and behind me, pegasi filled the sky, and covered the rooftops.
I smiled, and glanced back at Rarity, winking at her- The signal. She stepped forward proudly with the box, and I turned back to the courtyard, “I am officially naming Discord as my consort.”
Luna gawked at me, I hadn’t told her about this, Twilight had figured it out on her won and looked kind of smug, Rarity had been told flat out, when I asked her to make Discord a crown, she had been confused, and then squee’d when I told her. The rest of the element bearers were as shocked as Luna, Discord looked as smug as Twilight, as I carefully lifted the grey band, with a fire ruby in the center.
I gently set it on his head, and he chuckled, I was about to warn him about saying something inappropriate, when he said, “Now then, hold still so I can kiss you.” I squeaked, my face turning pink, but he kissed me anyway, practically the entire courtyard fainted, fortunately pegasi have mental defences against fainting.
He purred at me, and I snapped at him, “Be glad pegasi can’t faint.”
He laughed.
How I loved that laugh.
