Archive 2: The end of Chrysalis

I have found it! The beginning of the 'Great Equestrian Fall' starts at the end of the 'Equestrian Revolution.' This was taken from the memory crystals made from the memories in Chrysalis' dead body.
"Chrysalis!" Came a loud, piercing yell that echoed throughout the hollow, candlelit chamber halls. Chrysalis kept running, unwilling to look back in fear of seeing her pursuer. "I must finish it!" She mumbled to herself. She took a right and found herself in front of a black steel door with a dent in the middle of it. She grabbed the doorknob and hurried inside, fighting to control her breath. Inside was empty except for the center, where a lone dark red orb gleamed dimly and lay firmly on the ground, as if being held by something. Chrysalis smiled and made her way toward it. She placed her right palm gently on top of it.
"You shall be born soon my child..." She whispered to the orb. She gripped it tightly with her shaky hand. Her ears twitched as she listened to the constant "click clack" of hooves. Chrysalis quickly made her way to the wall adjacent to the door. She tapped the wall three times and it shifted apart, the walls sliding vertically away from the middle. A pathway of stairs leading straight down to another black steel door with a dent in it was where she ran through. She gripped the doorknob and opened it. In the room was six small altars, made of pure iron, circled the center. Five of the altars each had a different colored orb placed on it. Chrysalis moved swiftly over to the sixth altar, the one closest to the back of the room. She placed the orb gently on the metal altar. Her horn began glowing . The altars disappeared, as if they had never existed at all. Chrysalis smiled triumphantly.
"There you are..." Came a low, gruff whisper. Chrysalis turned around to face her adversary.
"It's been a while, Shining." She stated nonchalantly. Shining stood there, glaring at her. Some of his white coat had splattered blood randomly across it from the many Changelings he had killed to get there. His armor was dented and scratched, looking as if he had just walked out of an intense battle. His spear was covered entirely in blood, from spear tip to the end of the shaft. All together it gave him a wild and crazed look.
"Today you pay for what you did to my wife!" He yelled. Chrysalis smirked wickedly.
"Did you forget? I am your wife. I couldn't have you cheating on me now could I?" Shining Armor walked slowly forward, his hooves loudly echoing throughout the hollow, empty room.
"Are those your final words?" Shining asked her coldly.
"Why of course not." Chrysalis said teasingly, though it only made Shining even more enraged.
"Shining!" Shining turned around and found a group of six ponies running down the pathway he had just came from.
"Ah young Twilight and friends! You're all here to join in on the fun are you?" Chrysalis asked the group jokingly. They all stopped dead behind Shining. Shining gestured for them to stay put.
"I can handle this." He said reassuringly and walked closer to Chrysalis, brandishing his spear menacingly. She smiled gently at him.
"You can kill me now if you wish, I won't move an inch. I've given up entirely." She stated. Shining eyed her curiously, but decided to take her up on her offer. In the blink of an eye Shining pierced Chrysalis in the chest, in between her breasts. Chrysalis closed her eyes and smiled. Shining's eyes went wide with horror as he felt something pierce through his body as well.
"W-what have you done!?" He questioned Chrysalis.
"I... had put a spell on you in case something like this happened. If I am injured by you, you receive the same injury as well!" She stated mockingly. Shining's body slumped forward, kneeling right before Chrysalis. Chrysalis smiled and slumped as well. She hugged Shining close to her and whispered gently in his ear.
"Till death do us part..."
And with that, the war to reclaim Equestria ended. But what became of the orbs? And what was their purpose? That answer was never found throughout her memories, meaning she purposely deleted parts of her memories so no one would figure out. Of course, I believe they have something to do with the Elements of Chaos...

Hi. I’m Index, daughter of the previous Element of Harmony known as Twilight Sparkle. However, I have never met my mother, as she died in the Great War, also known as the ‘Great Equestrian Fall’. Of course, around this time I was only born for about a month or so. I have been raised by a certain pony named Luna who, just like me, lost an important relative in the war. At this point I had been very curious about what had happened in the war and asked around. In my quest for answers I came upon one of the few surviving Elements. Her name was Fluttershy. She had survived the war, but the physical and mental scars left behind were irreversible. Fluttershy had lost many friends to the war. She was now 50, yet she looked exhausted and tired of life. Even so she gave me the full story of what happened during the war. It was very shocking to hear this and it made me cry a few times. But I didn’t have the full story just yet. I had the Elements of Harmony story. All I needed was The Elements of Chaos story.
To get this I travelled to what is known as the Badlands. Such a filthy place! Anyway, I stayed there for about a year. I was going to give up looking for lead, when somepony approached me. At first I didn’t believe him when he said that one of the Elements of Chaos was alive. It wasn’t possible since Fluttershy herself told that she had seen them all killed in battle. Then I met with this supposed Chaos pony. His name was Nitro and, from the descriptions I wrote down from Fluttershy, he looked just like the Nitro that Rainbow Dash had fought to the death with. His body was perfectly normal and not a single scar could be seen. According to Fluttershy he had his Appendix, Humerus, Left eye, and part of his wings ripped from him, along with many bruises and cuts from Rainbow as they fought tooth and claw. I asked him how this was possible.
“That is something I will explain in the story.” He told me. Though I wanted the answer right then, I patiently listened to his story. It was more shocking then I had previously thought. And to think that’s how he lived! After he told me all about what happened I went home and wrote a book on it called: “Elements of Chaos, Darkness of Sins”. I will be presenting this book to all the kids at the library today. I’m so excited to share this info. And maybe a certain somepony will be there… Ah! Y-you didn’t read that! I’m not in love with Deadwind or anything okay!? A-anyway, if you have some time why not drop by the library? You might find this story to be quite interesting.
