From Fillydelphia to PonyVille
"Fox, ready to go?" Sparkle yelled from the bottom of the stairs leading to my room. "Almost, mom!" I yelled back. My mother isn't the patient type. I packed my brush upon my hair spray, a few shirts, and a picture of my friends and me. I looked at my friends in the photo and fluttered my wings. "Alrig--" I got cut off by my mom yelling again. "FOXTROT NOW!" I flew over to the door and then down the stairs. My family headed out the door and into our wagon. My parents in front, stearing, and me, in the back laying in a pile of hay. It's gonna be a long trip, might as well take a nap.
A FEW HOURS LATER
"Fox, wake up!" Mom yelled as a slowly opened my eyes. I slightly stumbed getting out of
the wagon, and then streching my wings. "We're in Manehattan," My always silent dad said, "Figured we could stop and get a hotel room." We trotted around for a little while, surrounded by the sound of Hooves clopping on the ground. We arrived at a hotel named "Hooves at Heart". The name sounded pretty, strange, but it had 4 stars, so hey. My parents booked a room, and I sat down at the counter to order a drink.
"I would like a water, please."
"Comin' right up!" The worker turned around and poured some water into a glass. "Where yeh comin' from, pal?"
"Fillydelphia, on my way to PonyVille." I said taking the cup from the man's hoof.
That's when I heard somepony with a strange, but somehow young, voice. "PonyVille?!" I turned around to see a young filly with reddish-brownish hair. "Some of my best friends live there!" she screeched exitedly. "Really? Cool!" I responded. "My name is Babs. Babs Seed." "I'm Foxtrot." "Nice to meet you!" We said at the same time. I headed up to my family's room after talking to Babs for a little while. I noticed my dad sitting down next to my mom, who was laying on the bed. "Mom, Dad, what's going on?" I asked, tilting my head.
"Your mom is very sick, somethin' she must've picked up here."
"Wh-wh-what?"
"Lets just go to sleep and we'll see a doctor in the mornin'."
I woke up to silence. Strange. My mom is usually cooking something... or... talking to someone. I walked out to where my parents were and didn't see my mom or dad. "Hmm..." I said to myself. I walked downstairs and it looked like it did last night-- ponies drinking cider or water, something along those lines, and lots of talking. I walked over to the middle aged horse serving drinks.
"Hey, seen my parents around?"
"Nope, I ain't."
"I can't find the-- Right then the doors swung open loudly, silencing everypony.
"F-f-foxtrot! C-c-come here!" My dad said, but it sounded like he was crying.
"Dad? What's wrong?" I asked walking over to him, then to the wagon. He looked at my with teary eyes. "Your... Mother..." I knew right away what happened. I had a flash of memories.
When I was five, my mother took me to flying lessons. She tought me how to fly, afterward her mane was extremely fizzy. She let me help her brus it out later.
Mom took my to get the best Apple Cider in Fillydelphia. It was deicious.
The rest of the memories went by fastly. She was the best mother, even with a loud mouth. She was my mother. I loved her, now she was gone. I wipped away a tear with my hoof, curling up in my pile of hay and crying a waterfal, until I slipped away to sleep.
