After a mysterious force led darkness upon the land of Equestria, a plague ensued. Crops and water was turned to dust, Unicorns went extinct, communication was lost overseas, and the air was poisoned. In what followed, some of the dead would return in a state of fury, their single desire to cause pain upon anyone they find. That is all they want, and they want it bad. In this cruel world, society has divided, some living in communities and some travelling alone. Our hero travels alone, rarely calling upon others for hope. He hopes to locate an ancient order of Ponies who were relied upon to keep peace during difficult times, but ultimately turned their back on Equestria and disappeared. He believes they can help bring salvation to the land, but it's a long journey. This is the tale of the ponies and creatures he meets along the way, friends and foes. It's the tale of how he's changed by the world and comes to learn who he is, and ultimately choose the future of the world.
