The origins of Glistening Blade Ponyville Royal guard

It was a week after the Templar attack the supplies for the town rebuild finally came in. Blade was supervising the build and working on blueprints for the assassins headquarters. He wanted it to have cannons and defenses but he would have to build that on his own. Twilight was with him watching him draw on his blueprints adding things in all over the place he planned on having a huge armory were no two weapons or armors were the same. "Blade this rebuilding is going to take forever." He looked over at her and chuckled "I know Twilight if i was allowed to help build it would be done by now." She rolled her eyes "yeah sure it doesn't help that people want improvements on there houses and stores though it's extending the rebuild time." He knew he wouldn't win the argument "Your right it is taking awhile." She smiled at him "For once you actually agree with me." He nodded and went back to drawing on his blueprints "Finally done with these." he handed the blueprints to one of the assassins who then handed it to an architect. The architect rounded up all the supplies for the build and showed them the area that they should use. Perfect something i can work on it's my headquarters the Princess can't stop me from working on this he thought. He went to work right away with all the assassins helping his use of magic was really helping the build. By nightfall he already had the underground portion built he just needed the main building now. He went to the house and slept with Twilight.

The next day Blade went straight to working he was building faster than anyone. If only the Princess could see me building now she would let me do all the building in the town he thought. By the afternoon he had the whole building built he even added the cannons and guard towers. The only thing left was to make and add the armor and weapons Blade added a forge for this specific reason just so he can make new armor and weapons in town. They needed to find there own supplies if they were to make armor or weapons though. The assassins went straight to working they looked at all the missions possible and started taking over new towns and recruiting new assassins. Blade walked outside and went back to supervising. He met up with Twilight on the rooftop where blade had left a blanket. She was looking terribly bored. She looked at him as he sat down next to her Rainbow Dash flew by looking mad she had to make sure there were no weather problems that could affect the rebuild. Blade and Twilight looked over and saw Fluttershy making sure the animals were out of the way. "Everyone has important jobs but us we sit here doing nothing i want to help" said Twilight angrily. "Twilight someone needs to make sure the builders don't mess up right?" She looked over and thought about what Blade said. She sighed "I guess your right." He was surprised to here her say that. Pinkie Pie walked up to them "you guys want some food" she said loudly. They both looked over at Pinkie "Yes" they both said. "Alright i'll be right back." Pinkie ran off and came back minutes later with tons off food. "Wow thanks Pinkie" said Blade. "Your welcome" she said as she ran off. Blade and Twilight ate there food happily "See Twilight it's not all bad is it." "I guess not" she said. After they finished there they sat together still on the rooftop. Blade moved closer to her and they cuddled. Lowell came up behind them Blade heard footsteps so he turned around. Lowell looked at him "did i interrupt your moment there" he said laughing. "A little bit" Twilight said sounding upset. "Sorry Twilight i just need Blade for a minute." Blade looked at him "Lowell is it important." He thought for a minute "Well i guess not i'll talk to you later then ok." Twilight looked at Blade she smiled then they kissed "Thanks for staying here Blade." They watched the construction together still cuddling. When night came Blade walked to Sweet Apple Acres to see what Lowell needed. He saw Lowell waiting for him outside. "I was startin to think ya weren't gonna show up Blade." He sped up until he was closer to Lowell." Well what do you need." "Blade i need ya to keep a real close eye on one of the builders he looked like he was trying to mess up the rebuild." "Why do you say that Lowell." He thought for a minute most likely trying to put the words together. Well the guy was tampering with the buildings and he was trying to drop supplies on the other builders. Blade looked at him like really that does seem important but he nodded and walked home. He climbed into bed with Twilight she was happy to see him back they kissed a few times and fell asleep.

About a week later half the town was rebuilt the builders were working on a 3 story building now. Twilight was on the ground telling them what to work and add. There was one builder working on the roof and the rest were working on the main floor. Blade was sitting on a rooftop watching the build trying to find if someone was tampering with the buildings. The builders took a break but Blade noticed one of them stayed by the building. Blade jumped off the roof and watched him he was cutting the structure of the house. Twilight was still under it Blade ran over as the house started to collapse he threw Twilight out from under the house as the whole structure landed on him. Twilight looked back almost paralyzed he saved me she thought. Lowell and Twilight ran over with the builders.They were throwing the wood boards of the house trying to find Blade. Twilight lifted parts using her magic but they still didn't get to him. Hours later they moved the whole entire house and they found Blade. He wasn't breathing and he felt cold as ice Twilight sat there shaking him and crying. His mane was redish orange like fire. Lowell sat next to Twilight. "He gave his life to save you." She was still crying  "Blade why would you do this it should have been me." Lowell looked over at Twilight "He died honorably he wouldn't have saved you if he didn't love you." She looked over still crying "you really think so." "I know he was so scared of ruining things with you the night of the meteor shower." She smiled until she looked back at Blade then she started crying again "Can you tell Princess Celestia and Shining Armor what happened for me i need some time alone" she kissed Blades forehead and left. Lowell nodded and went home he immediately wrote a letter to the Princess. She then came to Ponyville right after reading it.

Celestia went to see Twilight she was still crying I heard what happened my faithful student. She was surprised Celestia had come to see her "Yeah Blade gave his life for me." Celestia nodded then Shining Armor walked over to Twilight. "Are you going to be ok Twili." She was happy to see him "No i'm not ok he saved me and died in the process this is your fault Princess." Celestia looked at Twilight she was enraged "Twilight Sparkle how dare you blame me for this." Twilight looked over at her still crying "If you let him rebuild he wouldn't have died." Celestia thought for a moment and Lowell walked in "Shes right Princess the building was sabotaged by one of the builders you sent." Celestia looked over to Shining Armor for help but all he could say was "It seems like it is your fault Princess." Celestia still enraged because she never messed up like this looked over "I'm so sorry Twilight you should open the present i gave Blade since he's gone and i must go back to Canterlot." Shining Armor hugged his sister and him and the Princess left. Lowell walked over and said "me an Applejack are here for ya. Oh yeah we also got rid of the builder that you know." then he left. Twilight walked outside she was still really sad she went back to the building site but Blade was gone. Where did his body go she looked around but no one was nearby. Well they probably went to bury him she thought which made her very sad. She went home and went to bed alone but she imagined Blade there next to her.
