Chapters Prologue: The day heaven became hell
Here we are again my friends, the beginning of a new journey down the corridors of my crazed mind. This story was inspired by the Story: Brony with a Shotgun. While it is still in it's prologue It drove me to think. How would Bronies as a whole react to being able to enter Equestria? For my answer please read on. Though I will warn you now that this will not be a happy tale of knights in armor who always win. There will be sadness and death. If you are uncomfortable with that concept but, continue reading in spite of it. I beg you to vote fairly. I have indeed given you do warning and anyone who had read the chapter of Universe of Dreams in which Ebony Bloodburner attacked Discord, can attest to just how dark I can be. So with the due warnings extended enter the portal and begin your journey.

Area 51 Military Complex, Earth
The face of a young man appeared on the screen of a monitor in a military base. Several tapes had been recovered from the site of a massive explosion after the solar eclipse. The contents of the tapes were considered Classified and were taken to the top brass of Government. The tapes all had the label 'The Brony war'. "Hey pal, this thing working?" A young man's voice gave an affirmative reply to which the young man on screen nodded. "Alright, my name is... wait I can't say for a good reason, I can't remember. Call me Honor Guard, I'm one of several thousand Bronies who have ended up in Equestria during a sick twist of fate." He tapped the camera and his hand began to glow for several seconds.
"It happened on the day of the Solar Eclipse and I'm not sure how long has passed. I was one of the first to arrive and I feel I've done all I can as the war has ended. These tapes are imbued with a spell from this world's leaders to allow you to see exactly what transpired as if you were watching a movie. I warn you that this will be one of the most sick looks into the lack of sanity our species possesses. So whoever is watching this tape I implore you to keep it away from children as it will scar them for life. Much like it has scared the once innocent population of this world." The Young man's teary face faded from the camera as the scene began to change.
Canterlot Castle Equestria, Outside the Throne room
Twilight Sparkle entered the Royal Sister's castle today on an urgent summons, while normally overjoyed to see her mentor Princess Celestia, she could not shake the feeling in her stomach that something terrible was about to occur. Sadly fate seemed to give Twilight her warning far too late to do anything to prevent the disaster to come, as a loud bang caused the walls of the castle itself to shake. "Oh no..." Twilight said as she ran off towards the throne room.
Inside the throne room sat the Celestial sisters, Celestia and Luna. While Celestia had actually called Twilight here to ask her about the matter of her parents asking the Princesses for her status which would have ended in a tough-love filled lecture about writing to parents because they deserve to know how you are. The loud explosion completely derailed said plans. "Sister... what was that?" Luna asked her elder sibling as Twilight entered the room. "I don't know Luna but, please watch over Twilight while I go investigate." Luna nodded to her elder siblings command and rushed to meet Twilight Sparkle at the door.
"Princess?! What happened?! What was that loud explosion?" The young unicorn's mind had begun to enter panic mode as Luna attempted to calm her. "Shh, calm yourself My little pony. I promise that Celestia and I won't let whatever caused that explosion to harm you or anypony else." She said as she gently caressed Twilight's head in a comforting almost motherly manner.
Canterlot City, Ground Zero
Several ponies had gathered around the site of the massive explosion. It's source seemed to be a large silver archway that radiated a swirling silver and gold colored light. Several bi-pedal creatures stepped through the archway and looked at the shocked faces of the ponies. The image of the young man from the tape was the first to be fully revealed. "Equestria... it's real." He said as he stepped forward towards a mint green unicorn with a lyre marking upon her flank. "Um... Hi can you talk? I was hoping to ask you where I am and who are you?" The young man spoke the sincerity and kindness in his voice was completely removed from the later image of him that appeared at the beginning of the tape.
The mint green unicorn stared at the young man for several seconds before jumping for joy and cheering. "I knew it!" She said, "I Knew Humans were real! Oh my name's Lyra Heartstrings, what's your..." She never got to finish that question as another of the humans had walked over and assaulted one of the other ponies. He had actually tied her up and gagged her before getting the sick look of a man possessed by the bestial instinct of lust. To which his victim could only cry fearing for her life.
The young man who spoke with Lyra immediately tackled the crazed human before he could commit the atrocious deed. "Dan?! What the fuck man?! I thought you were cool?!" The young man said to the human that he had pinned down. "Shut up kid" He said just as he clubbed the valiant young man in the head with a piece of discarded lumber. *Crack* The lumber chuck connected with a vicious blow, cracking the youth's skull wide open. The other ponies had taken the opportunity the fallen young man had provided and rescued the distressed mare and fled locking their doors and sealing their windows. All save for Lyra who used her magic to teleport herself and the injured youth to a safe location, or at least... she thought it was safe.
Before going any farther I want to let everyone know right now that this will not end happily for everypony. There will be many tears shed before this story reaches it's end. So if you can handle it and maybe want to add your Original Characters to the mix please let me know.
Honor Guard is my character made for this story, not sure if anyone else has an Original Character with that name but, he will not be turned into a pony at any time so don't get your jimmies rustled. My little pony friendship is magic is copyright to Hasbro and Lauren Faust. Any other references are copyright to their respective owners.

Evacuation Center, Canterlot/Ponyville Thoroughfare
Several tents were set up along the road at this point along with a barricade littered with the bodies of the crazed humans that had attempted to gain passage. Apparently the evil magic that was driving the humans crazy was beginning to affect the ponies too as several of the ponies that the trio passed had become several varying shades of Grey and were willingly going along with whatever the crazed humans asked as long as they weren't killed and their loved one's spared. Strangely enough this was the main cause of the Evacuation's success. The Royal guard counted any pony in one of those colorless states as a casualty and moved on. The main key between a normal grey coated pony and the crazed was the fact that a crazed ponies eyes revered colors causing there irises and white sections of their eyes to flip colors.
"Damn... this is a lot to take in." Honor Guard said as he just finished beating another crazed pair senseless. "There seems to be more of these human - pony combos now." He said as they finally pasted the barricade. The trio gave a sigh of relief until HG was tackled to the ground by several of the royal guards. (Calling Honor Guard that for a while to save space.)
"Leave him alone he's normal!" Lyra shouted at the guards to which Dark stepped up to them and testified to their case. This caused the guards to move off of HG and even help him up. "Sorry Honor..." Lyra said with a sad look on her face as they walked further into the camp now being led by the guards as Dark wandered off to search for more sane humans.
They arrived at a rather large tent which had the Equestrian Royal crest emblazoned on it's front. "Miss Heartstrings and the Human Knight are here to see you My ladies." The larger Guard said as he motioned for the two to enter. As soon as they did Lyra gasped and bowed causing HG to take a knee and bow his head in a professional manner. Earning a giggle from the younger of their hosts. The Celestial Sisters.
"No need for formalities miss Heartstrings and guest." Celestia said with a smile. This caused the two survivors to stand up. As they did so Luna walked up to HG and pressed her Horn against his head. She stepped backwards with a grin a moment later. "I see you can't remember your true name and have taken a title. But, sadly a title without a name is lacking wouldn't you agree miss Heartstrings?" Luna shot Lyra a cheery glance to which the mint colored unicorn could only nod.
Luna looked to Celestia who gave an approving nod. Luna's horn glowed and Honor's sword was pulled from it's sheathe and given a complete overhaul. "Take this as an act of friendship good Paladin this is a sacred sword forged from moonstone and crafted over 1,000 years ago. It is infused with powerful light magic that can banish evil from any heart." She said as she motioned for HG to take a knee which he did gratefully.
"Then we dub thee Honor Guard the first human Paladin to grace Equestria." She said with a smile as she handed the sword back to him which he took and sheathed gracefully. "Would you like to give your sword a name? It would be easier to keep a record of it's heroic exploits in both your hands and those that follow you if you do." She said with a smile.
He stood there for a moment and was about to answer when another explosion shook the camp. Dark appeared in the shadows and whispered to Celestia. "That's not good. I'm sorry Luna but, you'll have to get his answer later it appears we are under attack." She said which caused Honor to grip the handle of his sword and ready his shield as he charged from the tent.
Evac Center, Outskirts
Three unicorns were holding the barricade against the horde of attackers. Sadly they seemed unable to do so for much longer until. "Divine Ray!" A blast of light shot out from within the camp and it's caster sped up to the Barricade the Moonstone blade shining in the light of the setting sun. Honor ran behind the barricade where he would add several of his light blast spell to their efforts. The unicorns were able to take a break as Honor managed to knock out the last of the attackers.
The unicorns were a rag tag group of varying sizes. The most noticeable of the trio was Twilight Sparkle. She had refused to head towards Ponyville until she was sure that nopony else needed saving Dark had returned to relieve them when the assault happened.
Twilight made her way to Honor and began the introductions. "Hello sir. My name is Twilight Sparkle, thank you for helping us." She said with a smile. The smaller male walked over to Honor and extended his hoof for a hoofshake. Which Honor accepted. "Hey there guy, my name is Blaze Spark. The guy over there is Blueblaze." The larger male nodded before taking a drink from a really large bottle. "Yeah... he has an issue with the bottle if you catch my drift." The larger stallion chuckled and hiccuped. "I don't have a problem with them they hold stuff dude." He said before laughing again. This made Twilight facehoof.
"Well my name is Honor Guard. Don't really know my real name so that will do for now." He said as he bowed. Suddenly the trees around the four turned black and the ground did as well. A large coffin appeared from the ground and from it's confines came a human shape wearing a hooded jacket. There was a large stab wound in the figures chest and it's mouth was bloody. It was Dan the human Honor accidentally killed.
"Rise my undead brethren and take the innocent ones." The zombie said as several more coffins appeared from out of nowhere each containing a large assortment of pony bones. That emptied out into a small army of Skeletons. "Shit..." Was all Honor could say before jumping the barricade and using a light barrier that covered the entire camp. "Hey Honor! Let go of the shield I'll hold it up!" Twilight said as she took the reigns of the spell so Honor could focus on the fight the two stallions standing at either side of him. "Oh... this should be. *hic* Fun." Blue said with a drunken tone. "Don't get cocky buddy there's a lot of them." Blaze said which caused the three to nod and charge the enemy.
While Blaze and Blue took on the skeleton army Honor stood against Dan. "You... you are the reason we cannot find rest..." He said as he charged Honor who blocked his strike with his shield and slashed him. As he did so one of the trees changed back to normal. "So the tree's are some kind of health bar?" Honor said as he looked at the 19 remaining black trees. The ground was returning to it's normal color with every skeleton vanquished as well. "Damn... this world even puts video games to shame. All right then Dan. I'm sorry it had to come to this but, Prepare for your final rest!"
"Did... *hic* Did he just taunt the Boss Undead thing?" Blue said to Blaze having a moment of Drunken clarity. "Yes... yes he did." Blaze said facehoofing for a second before firing another attack spell at the skeleton army, clearing another large chunk of them. "Nice. *Hic* Needs more icicles though." Blue said as he froze several Skeletons and launching them at there allies as frozen projectiles.
Area 51 Military Compound, Earth
The tape fades to static and ejects itself from the player it's tape completely spent. "Place in the next tape Private." The general said to which the solider saluted and did as instructed. "Don't play it yet... I need to get some coffee. You should to." The general said as he powered down the Television and left the room the Private following him.
Yes I am ending this chapter before the boss fight. The reason? Because I haven't figured out how to write the boss fight in ab unbiased manner well that and it needs epic music and I couldn't find it yet. So that chapter will be next. Twilight Sparkle here with the shout outs. Seeing as Cammy is having issues with the boss fight he decided to have me do this. *Twilight pulls out a small list of names.* Okay the guest characters added today are... Blueblaze who is property of Bladeswipe101.
For those asking where the boss fight chapter is... BAM here you go. Let me know how you think my battle system went... I tried to do it in a vary efficient manner but, if there can be improvements please let me know & yes this fight will span the majority of the chapter. I will introduce two characters this chapter but, how depends on who wins the fight. I'm going to find out alongside all of you as I'll explain how it works later on. Cya!
Area 51 Military Compound, Earth.
The General and the Private return to the room where the tapes were being screened and sat down with their coffee. "Alright Private... start the next tape." The General said and the Private nodded and hit the play button as he turned on the television. The Screen hissed and sparked to life with the same images as if they never needed to change the tape at all.
Evac Center Outskirts, Equestria.
Blue's frozen skeleton shards tore through several more of their undead kin as he hopped on his hind legs in a drunken jig. "T-that's *hic* what I'm talking about. *hic* Freeze and smash..." He said as he finished his dance in time to stop another skeleton cold with a frost trap much like Sub-Zero would use. (It's the counter thing he does. Where you get frozen when you hit him.)
"What did I tell you about getting cocky!" Blaze said as he blasted another skeleton with heavy attack magic. "Damn skeletons... Can't keep them away long enough to keep charging my spells... I suck at close combat too." He said with a sigh as he released another quick cast shock wave spell.
At the farthest point from the Barricade Honor Guard stood alone against Dan. They stared each other down for what seemed like ages until Dan took up a pose that looked like a hunter from Left 4 Dead. (There won't be any actual cross-overs with games just a lot of references. I mean we are dealing with a group humans who use the computer for a living am I right?)
Boss Fight time Yeah! (Okay so here's how I decided to do this. I broke out my D-100 and rolled it for each action. The ratio for damage went like this. 0-25 countered by opponent, 26-50 miss, 51-75 hit, 76-100 critical hit. For magic it's different in that anything under 50 fails. I will do this in a turn base style so enjoy my die rolling. Which I will post a link to how it went in my next blog so you can see that I'm being legit. Also they both have 250 Hp and starting from the hit zone any number higher than 51 increases the damage... after 76 each point is worth 2. So say Dan lands a 77 the math would end up like this. Dan hits for a 77 roll it would go... Critical hit to Honor for 29 damage. Because of the fact that 77 is two above 75 so he would hit for double on those remaining two. Make sense?)
Magic Zombie Psycho: DAN
"Alright Dan... Bring it!" Honor guard said as the Zombie readied himself. "When you fall I will have rest. My brethren however will continue to feed." Dan chucked as he said that.
"Oh no they won't!" Honor guard announced as he launched towards Dan with a sideways strike... He Connects for 24 dmg. Dan HP = 226
Dan shrieks in pain before charging Honor and slashing him with his front claws... Honor dodges and parries him and strikes back for 2 dmg. Dan HP = 224
Honor fires off a Divine ray... It connects for 18 dmg! Weakness double! Dan is weakened by magic causing Double dmg to him sending the dmg to 32 dmg. Dan HP = 192
Dan goes into a rage. Dan now does double Dmg for his next strike and is allowed to attack again.
Dan Pounces towards Honor and attempts to pin and claw him... and succeeds and claws Honor for 98 dmg. Rage dmg increase! Dan does Double for this hit so the damage increases to 196!
Honor's limit is broken and he uses it's energy to cast Divine Protection... It barely succeeds causing Honor to take half damage for two rounds.
Dan charges and swipes! He misses Honor doing no dmg.
Honor focused his magic into his sword! Divine Blow! He charges and swings at Dan! He missed doing no dmg.
Dan swipes at Honor once more and... connects for 13 dmg. His strike is weakened by Honor's Divine Protection reducing the damage to 7. Honor HP = 47
Honor's Divine Protection fades. Honor charged with another Divine Blow... And connects for 62 dmg! Magic weakness bonus! Dan takes double damage from magic! He now takes 124 dmg! Dan HP = 68
Dan strikes Honor again... and is smacked in the face with Honor's shield for 3 dmg. Dan HP = 65
Honor strikes at Dan with all of his might... and connects for 6 dmg! Dan HP = 59
Dan is calling a skeleton... one comes to attack Honor... It misses and falls to the ground lifeless once more. (This one was different because in my book summoning and the summon attacking straight out fall under hit/critical hit. It would have stayed in if it hit.)
Honor strikes at Dan with his shield... and connects for 24 dmg! Dan HP = 35
Dan attempts to cast a black magic spell... but it explodes in his face for 2 dmg! Dan HP = 33
Honor attacks with Judgement Cut... and connects for 24 dmg... magic bonus! Dan takes double damage from magic for 48 dmg! Dan HP = 0! Honor Wins! (If the music hasn't stopped stop it and play this. )
The trees return to normal as well as the ground while Honor slumps over in pain. "Ouch... he got me quite a few times..." Blaze and Blue run up after the skeletons fall with Dan's defeat. "Dude... *hic* you were so *hic* bad ass." Blue said with a smirk.
"Could have done it quicker." Blaze said with a playful jab to Honor's shoulder which caused him to wince in pain. "Ouch..." He said as he rubbed his shoulder. "Oh quit your whining kid. I mean that didn't look two hard." A male voice said from behind him the two unicorns stood there frozen in fear. "Wow... is that a way to greet new recruits? Shame on you boys." A definitely feminine voice teased the two unicorns as Honor turned to see who he was talking too. A tall young man in armor holding a rifle and a wolf-like woman were the owners of the two voices.
"Sup? My name's Edward Kingsly, this here is my wife Saak'Lo. We've been living in the forest over there for a while now." He pointed towards the Everfree forest as Lo bowed. "Mind explaining just what the fuck happened here kid?" Edward's voice was rather agitated.
"How can I explain?" Honor said but, Edward raised his hand. "Never mind I'll just go talk with H.R.H. Princess Luna and see what's up. Take care new guy." Edward said with a wave as he placed the rifle on his back the two unicorns had stopped freaking out the minute the man introduced himself. "Dude! *hic* Now I *hic* remember where *hic* I saw things like *hic* you before." He managed to eloquently say before passing out stone drunk. Lo just shook her head. "Well I guess we should go in." She said with a smile. To which the group nodded.
& DONE! woo! that took for ever! to write... so if you didn't know already Saak'Lo is engaged in tumblr canon to one of my OC character's the Thunder elemental humanoid rifleman Edward Kingsly. Seeing as I see this taking place years after that's all said and done I had him introduce her as his wife. So here's the pics for the shout-outs!
Author's Corner: "Well... as you can see new chapter! Sorry for taking so long, you have no idea how hard it his to come up with a good idea when you back yourself into a corner story wise. Well enough explanation time for more of the story. Until further notice all of my scene transitions from here on will use time stamps.
Canterlot Evacuation Center, Royal Sister's Tent 5:48PM Fifteen minutes since Dan's Defeat.
"Your majesty, the forest dwellers are here." The guard posted at the tent's opening announced. "Show them in." Celestia said with a sigh. "I hope they're here to help this time." She thought as Edward and Lo were shown in. Behind them stood Twilight Sparkle, Lyra, Blaze, & Honor Guard carrying a Drunken Blue. "Sorry about him your majesties, he seems to have fainted from over-exposure to Alcohol." Edward said with a sigh as he took a knee. Celestia couldn't help but, giggle at his professionalism. Which earned her a spiteful growl from Lo.
"My apologies Mrs. Kingsly. So how has your family fared during the assault Edward?" Celestia asked as Luna couldn't help but, stare starstruck at the Human. This got a chuckle out of Edward. "Something wrong Princess Luna?" He asked as Luna simply gave of a fan-girlish cheer. "Your the Weather Man, Edward Kingsly! Wow... Your control over storms is quite impressive if I may say so myself." She said with a smile as Honor Guard scratched his head while looking to Lyra who also had the same fanfilly grin. "I guess I'm missing something here. Weather Man? I didn't know this place had TV..." Honor Guard said with the same clueless look. " I've never seen him before now but, that name seems to ring a deep bell somewhere. Did I meet him before? But, if so how? HG was snapped out of his thoughts by Edward coughing.
"Glad you could rejoin us." He said with a sarcastic tone. It had actually been several minutes since the conversation had begun as announced by the clock in the corner striking 6:00PM "And the reason Luna called me the Lightning man was because I'm a humanoid that can control the weather on the same level as the Pegasi." He said with a smile. Now come on. We have places to go. Crazy Psychos to beat the crap out of." Edward seemed to get a small kick out of that last line. The group of four ponies and three humanoids bowed and left the tent. They were almost out of the Evac Center when Honor collapsed with a heavy thud from his armor. Lyra and Twilight called out for him as his vision faded into blackness blood leaking from him as he laid there. It was most likely unable to escape the heavy metal armor and spilled out when he landed.
Green River, Unknown location 6:05PM
Honor awoke to find himself floating in a green river surrounded by black. "W-Where am I?" He asked the void around him. "This is the Lifestream. The source of Life and Magic in all worlds. Each one is different and colored as thus. The abundance of magic in this world gives the stream it's bright green color. In a world with little to no magic it will be a deep red." A young male voice spoke out from the darkness. It was Honor's voice from a different source. "I must be hearing things... I could have sworn I heard myself talk." Honor said with a nervous laugh. Which was cut short by the sounds of the hoof-steps of an approaching Pegasus."We'll get used to it... We are one and the same after all." The Pegasus said with a grin to which Honor could only reply...
"No Way..."
Credit's notes: "Sorry for the massive delay but, hooray! I finally got my muse to cooperate with me!" "yay..." "Okay... come here and give me a hug." Fluttershy nodded and gave the author a warm hug. "That was nice..." She said with a smile. "Okay I promise that I'm going to try to get more stuff out from now on. It may not be on the scale of Universe of dreams in terms of speed but, I'm trying. Life has become quite hectic for me recently. Until next time."

The first human Hero: The Paladin, Honor Guard
I'm not going to hold you up much here besides to give a shout out to my friends on Tumblr who have graciously let me use their Original Characters. Said Characters will appear at times that make sense. So for anyone watching the character involved in the chapter is Dark Shadow a member of the secret Royal Task Force. Here's a pic...
Abandoned Home, Canterlot
Lyra was exhausted after tending to the young man she rescued. She had managed to stop the bleeding and fix the wounds but, he would most likely have severe amnesia. She began crying as she realized the reasons humans were kept secret from pony-kind. It wasn't because the rulers wanted to, it was because they had to. Humans were far too unpredictable to allow into Equestria and Lyra now knew that. Sadly she didn't have long to grieve her lost dream as the door to the house they sought refuge in was destroyed by more crazed humans.
Throne Room, Canterlot Castle
Their eyes were soulless and glazed over like the devil himself guided their actions. The sound of ponies screaming in terror could be heard all over Canterlot as Princess Celestia did something she thought she would never have to do again. Declare war on another sentient species. She called forth a member of the SRTF (Secret royal task force) By the name of Dark Shadow and gave him his orders. "You are to seek out and rescue any of the humans who have remained sane and ask if they would ally themselves under our banner. While doing so please rescue any of Our little ponies that you can. I'm counting on you." The Princess said as Dark Shadow gave a salute and vanished into the shadows. "Be careful my little ponies. I only hope there is a chance to save us all." She said as she hung her head.
Abandoned Home, Canterlot
The crazed humans had discovered Lyra and her fallen comrade and began to move in. Lyra was crying heavily as she said "Not like this... please, not like this." Strangely her pleas were answered as the human beside her snapped his eyes open and jumped to his feet knocking a crazed human away from Lyra in the process.
"I would love to ask some questions but, I believe we have some rather unruly guests." The human spoke as his right hand glowed. "Now with the sun above as my witness I swear on my honer I will not let you pass!" The glow on his hand spread and covered his body summoning a modified version of the Royal Guard armor complete with sword and shield. The display of magic shocked The humans and even caused Lyra to gasp.
"How dare you stand in the way of our dreams?! I thought you were a human like us?!" The crazed human that clubbed the youth before, Dan moved to the head of the pack wielding the same lumber club he hit the now magically armored youth with before. "If you won't move... we'll make you." He said as several of the crazed humans charged the youth and Lyra.
"Oh no you don't! Sacred Barricade!" The youth shouted and a massive barrier appeared around himself and Lyra shocking the attacking humans on contact with the shield. "Divine Ray!" He said as a beam of light shot from the sword and struck another rendering him unconscious. He took up a combat stance as he removed his part of the shield causing in to double in strength around Lyra. "I swear miss, I will protect you." He said with a nod as the rest of the mob charged him.
Alleyway, Canterlot
The sounds of terrified Ponies and crazed humans were everywhere and every so often there would be signs of humans combating their crazed former comrades. Sadly the sane humans were being easily defeated by the strange new strength the crazed humans now possessed. As Dark Shadow made his way down the alleyway leading to the main thoroughfare the sounds of a fight reached his ears but, the sounds of magic were present. The fact that all of the unicorns even all the other had been rescued and evacuated with the aid of the sane humans providing distractions save for a miss Lyra Heartstrings caused the shaded stallion to enter the fray in an attempt to rescue her. What he didn't expect was that she was already quite safe as one of the sane humans had began to fight with one of Equestria's most valuable weapons, magic.
"Divine blow!" The young man shouted as he felled the last of the mob. None of them were dead only severely wounded and unconscious. The leader of the mob Dan, however was not so lucky. He fell to the Youth's blade in the manner only fitting to the crime he attempted to commit. Sadly the youth never meant to kill him. He was stabbed through the heart when he rushed the youth who had been crying from then on at the fact he had taken a life. "I'm sorry... I'm so sorry." The youth said as he closed the fallen human's eyes respectfully.
"Young man!" Dark Shadow called out to the youth. "Would you happen to know the whereabouts of a miss Heartstrings? She is the only pony that has yet to be evacuated to a safe area by the royal army." The shaded stallion said as he appeared from the shadows near the door. To which the youth only nodded as he sheathed his blade. Lyra ran into Dark crying heavily at the fact that she was rescued. Not because she was sad but, because she was happy to finally be safe for the moment.
"There there, now miss Heartstrings we will get you out of here as quickly as possible. You have my word." The shaded stallion said as he turned to the human. "You lad, what's your name and how can you preform magic?" He asked to which the human simply shrugged. "I'm sorry sir, but I can't recall my name and the whole magic thing is as much a mystery to me." He said as he walked up to Lyra and gave her a bow before walking out of the Abandoned Home.
"W-wait! Please don't go." Lyra said as she chased him down Dark following her to defend her. "If you can't remember your name would you like me to give you one till you can?" She said with a smile to which the youth simply nodded. "Okay... since you said something about swearing on your honor to defend me... How about Honor Guard?" She said with her smile increasing. To which the youth grinned.
"Honor Guard... I like it. Don't worry miss Heartstrings you can count on me." He said as he bent onto his knee and bowed much like the knights of old.
"Please... call me Lyra." She said with a smile as the three made there way towards the evacuation area.
Throne Room, Canterlot Castle
"Sister..." The Princess of the Moon, Luna stood behind her elder sibling both watching the display of the human's new name unfold from a nearby roof top. "I know Luna, he's going to have a lot on his plate from now on. I only hope more of the kind humans can find the powers within themselves like he did. Maybe then we will actually stand a chance." She looked towards the group of three with a sad expression. "Good luck, young Paladin." Celestia said as the siblings flew off to the Evacuation zone.
