Chapters Prologue: The Fall of New Albion
The Three Pony Tribes have now settled Equestria, and Discord hasn’t yet come, another country having “hyper” advanced technology for the time has been having civil unrest and war for the past century, the city nation of New Albion. The Fall takes place over fifty years to happen starting with the Bonfire of the Dolls, the riots that damaged most of the city during the Steam Age, through the ten year Civil War during the Diesel Age, till the Nuclear decimation of the Eight Districts.
The civil war of New Albion had been raging for ten long years, with the Rebels and the Government Forces making slow progress on either side.
The Government’s Freedom Corp had fallen with the only surviving super soldier being John O’brian, who has now turned against the Government Forces.
The Battle of Crier’s Blvd was going awry, the Rebels had gotten hold of the MCG, the Government’s radio broadcaster to send info and orders directly to their soldiers, and were broadcasting some song that is brainwashing the city.
The thief Constance O’brian, daughter to John and the cause of his turn, sings a song that breaks the spell of the other song, releasing the city from it’s hold.
When the soldiers come to, some drop their guns and leave, but most begin to move to capture Constance. But John and his sister Jackie defend Constance while she escapes.
Jackie is shot and killed sending John into a rampage. He is killed but not before taking the Government Forces with him.
The Rebels over run the Parliament, but can’t decide who shall be the new leader and turn on each other.
With no Central Government the eight Districts become separate Governments each wary of the others.
The Voodoopunks, the ones who used the MCG to try and end the war with their Songs of the Dead, begin reemerging after having been in hiding for the past thirty years when the city went in to Martial Law after the Bonfire of the Dolls riots.
Some of the many separate groups of Voodoopunks throughout the city decide to leave the now ruined city of New Albion and into the land that is Equestria.
For good or for bad they left within the next decade New Albion becomes just a crater from the Nuclear testing of the Eight Districts against each other.
New Albion had sat to the North West to the land of Equestria. The refugees and survivors of New Albion had made their way toward the South into Equestria.
They had originally planned to rebuild their civilization in the land of Equestria but found that others had settled it already, namely the Three Pony Tribes.
They began to come into the “primitive” towns and villages of Equestria, having a hard time making ends meet they had expected to be kicked out and to fend for themselves. But Equestria having been built on Friendship and unity they were helped into the societies of the ponies already there.
Due to having come from the higher technological civilization of New Albion they had to learn how to live in the primitive medieval society of Equestria.
Not long after the citizens of New Albion had finally begun to fit in to Equestrian life Discord and chaos arrived. In an attempt to protect their new found home the Albions began to use the technology of their home land and the Voodoopunk rituals to try and drive the chaos out.
But their use of these was seen as evil and chaotic by the natives of Equestria and were once again driven into hiding within their own homes.
Since then the Voodoopunks have grown hidden within the slowly advancing Kingdom of Equestria, unlike New Albion which was built on technology, Equestria was built on magic and friendship.
Three generations of “pure” Voodoopunks have come and gone within Equestrian borders. They have finally decided that now is the the time to show themselves to the world.
They had even learned how to prolong life, and had the knowledge of making Dolls, spirit possessed mechanical mannequins, to place the spirit of one of their dead members so they can be living again.
These pure Voodoopunks have evolved different than any normal pony. They look like Zebras with neon green stripes in Earth, Pegasus, and Unicorn forms.
As well all those who study the ways of the Voodoopunks can use magic even without a horn. This was one of the things that the Equestria of old feared as evil was that all the newcomers could use this darker magic.
The Dolls have been helping to keep the history and knowledge of the Voodoopunks alive over the past thousand two hundred years since they left New Albion.
Some of the Dolls have survived through the Bonfire of the Dolls, where they were the target for destruction for an unrelated incident back in New Albion, making them over a thousand years old.
We come the the 3rd generation Voodoopunk by the name of Steam Alchemist, a unicorn with a spiky short mane and tail thats rust colored with iron colored tips. Living within the Voodoopunk Everfree Forest Hideout near Ponyvile. He and his followers as the strongest and most devote of the modern Voodoopunks, where most other hideouts consist of mostly converts from the cites and towns around Equestria.
Even though the Everfree Hideout does have converts it’s mostly made up of decedents and relatives of past Voodoopunks.
Steam Alchemist plans to make to journey into the nearby Ponyvile to finally expose the Voodoopunks to the modern pony world. He believes the land of Equestria is finally coming generally close to where the Voodoopunks had first appeared in relation to the technology used. They hope that their Dolls are perceived as either toys or automatons rather then resurrected dead. But what he doesn’t know is that the new Princess Twilight might as well be interested rather then scared of the Voodoopunks. What will be the reaction of the citizens of Ponyvile to this new visitor.
Author's Note
I've sped up the fall for the propose of removing New Albion society from Equestria. The third of final part the the musicals for New Albion is not even out yet so i can't tell how long it would have lasted. This is also just to show where the rest of the story will be coming from for those who don't already know of or listened to The Dolls of New Albion or The New Albion Radio Hour.
Also 3 generations in over 1000 years, the Voodoopunks with the study of life death and the dead, have created spells to prolong life, as well as having the Dolls
Deep within the Everfree Sanctum of The Voodoopunks, Steam Alchemist, the head of all the Voodoopunk order in Equestria, sits in his study. He’s been planning to meet with the newest Princess of Equestria, Twilight Sparkle, and reveal their existence to all those under the Sisters’ Rule.
Steam Alchemist was awaiting his scout’s return telling of when Princess Twilight would be returning to Ponyvile from her journey to the northern reaches of Equestria. He had come to the conclusion that when she returns he and his personal best Voodoopunks were to meet with the Princess and finally expose themselves to Equestria once again.
He could hear the sound of not one, but two ponies approaching his study. There was a knock at the door and the sound of his scout asking to enter. “Come in.” The door opens and the scout as well as another pony entered.
“What news of the Princess’s return?” Steam asks.
“She has returned from her errand from Celestia.” responded the scout.
The other pony had been waiting to be acknowledged, egger to relay his information.
“And what about you? Do you have anything of importance? I’m currently very busy planning our return.” Steam explained.
“Aye, I have a message from the northern posts, regarding Princess Twilight’s business.” the Messenger began.
“Go on?”
“She and her “friends” have been snooping into the history of New Albion and us.”
“What?! She’s already been looking into us?!”
“Yes. She seems to have had stumbled upon a journal from one of the many refugees that came from New Albion.” the messenger stated, looking like he was about to collapse.
“Interesting..” Steam pondered, pacing his study, recalling the tales of how the refugees had moved across Equestria. “Somehow, some pony must have given the journal to the library either as a donation, or, for safe keeping.”
Steam, now realizing that if the journal was from one of the Voodoopunk sympathizers, realizes that she may be more inclined to listen. But if it had the tales of the incident of the Dolls, then it could be worse.
He stops for a second when one of the ponies coughs, realizing he hadn’t dismissed the two. “You both can go back to what you had been doing before this, and thank you for this information.”
Both ponies salute, Steam didn’t really like the idea of the saluting, but it had been that his family had been the top ranking members of the order since the Fall. Steam salutes back and the two leave and close the doors to his study, leaving him to contemplate the coming events.
Steam begins his trek through the Sanctum he had spent his entire life in. Even when he wasn’t giving orders, teaching magic, or participating in rituals, his people still showed him the greatest respect and awe. Most within this Sanctum knew he doesn’t like being saluted when just walking through, while those from the other Sanctums from around Equestria were not so informed.
Every once in a while he’d have to stop to tell some pony not to salute him, or to answer questions about history or magic. He was feeling rushed, and most of the ponies could feel it in the air. There was a magic connection among most Voodoopunks that live within the Sanctums. His connection was particularly strong, having been born third generation Voodoopunk.
As his anxiety rose, more ponies would leave him be as he made his way to the central command for external contacts. There would be waiting those he’d chosen to accompany him into Ponyvile as well as their guide.

Upon arriving, he quickly got the group together for the journey out of the Sanctum, to the edge of the Everfree Forest.
The Voodoopunks, over the years, had built an underground railway all across Equestria with each going directly to a Sanctum, under the towns and villages where the Albion refugees lived. Only Ponyvile, being one of the newer towns, didn’t have any Albion contacts living there, making it hard to have any direct connections within the town.
They make their way to the entrance to the Sanctum, an elevator that will take them to the surface. The elevator rises up inside a hollowed out tree that looked to be living from the outside. There was a doorway that, from inside, was transparent and, from the outside, looked like bark.
As the two guards, Steam, and their guide step onto the platform to take them up, there is a low humming heard as magic seems to be collecting within the platform.
The platform launches up, nearly two hundred feet, where the tree is located. The occupants would feel nothing as it rises quickly and stops. The four step off as the guide leads them to the edge of the Everfree.
The trees are dense and hard to go through, although the guide weaves his way through the thick forest with ease, shortly followed by Steam and his guards. The trees began to thin as they grew closer to the meadow near Ponyvile.
They come out of the dark forest and peer across the open field toward what is Ponyvile.
Steam asks the guide, “Is that Ponyvile out there?”
“That is Ponyvile, sir.” the guide responds.
“Good. We can go on from here. Thank you for showing us the way.” Steam says while shaking the guide’s hoof.
“Come along now we’ll need to talk with Twilight before night fall.”

Chapter 2: Welcome to Ponyvile
Upon exiting the elevator with his guards and guide, they set off towards Ponyville. As they walked, Steel noticed a pale-yellow pagasi with a pink mane tending to chickens. Walking past her home, the guide spoke up.
"Ahem. Steel?" he spoke. "Yes..?"
"I.. Thought you might stop by that mare's house to possibly ask her the whereabouts of Miss Sparkles' home."
Steel stopped and raised a brow, "Well, what would I need to do that for? She seemed rather busy taking care of those chickens, and it'd be rude to impose myself upon her. Besides, I'm sure the locals will know where she lives." Steel began walking towards Ponyville, noticing a bouncing pink mare with cotton candy-styled pink mane towards him.
"Well, look at that. See?" The guide sighed to himself, putting a hoof to his forehead.
"Hi there! I'm Pinkie Pie! I thought someone new was in town, what with my pinkie sense and all going craaaaaaaazy wild!" The pink mare, named Pinkie Pie, began examining Steel's cutiemark with a puzzled, but understanding, gaze. "How'd you get that interesting-looking cutiemark? I've never seen anypony with something like that before."
Steel chuckled, nodding at her and spoke, "Yes, it's quite a story, but it's for another time. Pinkie Pie, was it? I was wondering, do you happen to know a Princess by the name of Twilight Sparkle?"
"What?!?! Who DOESN'T know Twilight! EVERYPONY knows who she is silly! She's only been princess for two months but she's to control an empire or something like that. Unless my pinkie sense is wrong, which can happen but oh well." Puzzled by her 'pinkie sense', he shook it off, not in the slightest surprised. After all, he was strange too. "Wait, are you a Zebra-pony? Those markings on your coat remind me of Zecora's."
The guide grew slightly agitated, wishing he dragged Steel away. Upon noticing this, Steel tried to speed things along. "No, I am a Unicorn. Anyways, you said you knew Miss Sparkle. Would you happen to know the location of her home by any chance?"
"Of COURSE I know where she lives! She's like, my bestest friend in the whole wide world! She lives in the town's library, although it's kind of ironic that it's inside of a tree, what with paper being made from trees and all." Pinkie tilted her head, "Why? Are you looking for her?"
Steel nodded, "Yes, as a matter of fact. I was hoping to speak to her about something. Thank you for telling me where she lives, I will be on my way now."
"WHAT?!?! Without your 'Welcome-to-Ponyville' Party? Are you crazy!"
Stifling a laugh, he shook his head. "No, but I do not have time at the current moment for such affairs. What I need to discuss is very important. Maybe I'll take you up on the offer some other time."
Upon hearing this, her mane deflated. "Wait, what the.. Did her mane just deflate?" the group thought. "Okay. Oh, tell Twilight I said hello when you see her! I've got some cupcakes to bring over for her later. Bye, strange pony!" She bounced off into the distance, seemingly towards the yellow mares home.
"Well, you heard her. To the tr-- I mean, to the Library." said the guide. As they walked, Steel was pondering now on what questions he'd ask the princess. "How did you discover us?" and "How did you find our book?" were two of many questions. 'What was that pinkie-sense that mare spoke of? Perhaps Twilight could explain that as well.' he thought to himself. All he knew is that there would be quite a discussion to be had when he met the princess.
