The pony who never wanted friends
He was just another pony in the world of Equestria, that day he couldn't realize that he would soon change the lives of 6 ponies forever. That day he didn't even think that he would live that long, the doctors told him so too, so he just wanted to lay down for a bit, have some rest and not bother any pony. That didn't seem so hard since he only had a few more days left to live. So he found out about a place where he might be able to do that- a small place called Ponyville.
it wasn't long before the new pony arrived in Ponyville, a really tall blue colored pegasus stallion with a white and black colored mane and tail, because of that he was named- whitemane, no other pony in whole of Equestria had the same color mane or tail as him. What's peculiar about this pegasus was that he was always wearing black sunglasses, no pony knew why, but boy did it suit him well. Also no pony could see his cutie mark coz it was covered by his wings, and he didn't want to show it to any pony either, since that would only attract unwanted attention.
As soon as Whitemane arrived in Ponyville, he made his way to the mayor of the town and rented a small house that was on the edge of the city and as near to Everfree forest as any other. Apparently he didn't want to be bothered, or bother any pony. The mayor did want to tell him something about a very interesting guest who lived in the same house for a while, some kind of pony in white robes, but he didn't want to listen...all he cared about was getting out of every ponys eyes as fast as possible.
Everything was going well, and he was almost at his new home, but then he saw the one thing he feared- Pinkie Pie.
*Damn it! This must be the one they warned me about, all pink and always bouncing around through the center of the town, also very crafty, hard to miss* he though to himself. I need to get around her if i want to avoid unnecessary conversations.
And so he did, he went around the alleys of the houses avoiding Pinkie and soon he lost her.
Whitemane: Phew, that was close.
But of course, there's no escaping from Pinkie, she was already behind him.
Pinkie: Hi!
Whitemane: What the...? where did you come from? I knew you were crafty but damn...this is just ridiculous. Alright you found me, now what?
Pinkie: I've never seen you around here before, what's with the creeping around? Are you hiding from something?
Whitemane: I was..
Pinkie: You were?? What were you hiding from? what found you?
Whitemane: You.
Pinkie: Me? Why would you be hiding from me silly? I'm the friendliest pony in Ponyville.
Whitemane: That's just the reason why.
Pinkie: Huh? What do you mean?
Whitemane: I don't need new friends, and your reputation precedes you by the way, i was already told how you love making friends.
Pinkie: Really? Does that make me famous?
Whitemane: ...i suppose so.
Pinkie: Hah I'm famous! That's just so so so so great. I've always wanted to be famous but never actually though that i would be famous some day. Wait till i tell all my friends in Ponyville about this. Not you of course, cause you already know that *giggles*. Hey, where did you go?...Well that was weird, he must have had other things to do. Oh well. I'll have plenty of time to talk to him later. Wait a minute. Was he even from Pontville? I sure hope he is, coz if he wasn't then that means that i might never see him again, and i didn't even find out his name or welcome him to Ponyville, now what kinda friend would that make me? and if he's not my friend then that means that he would be the only pony i've met and didn't make friends with. *deep gasp* I can't let that happen! I need to find him, and quick.
And so Pinkie set off to find the new pony. But Whitemane was already home, he managed to sneak off while Pinkie was talking to herself. He popped his head out the window to see Pinkie trying to find him and laughed at her running up to every pony, trying to find directions, because no one but the mayor knew where he was...
Whitemane: The mayor! No no no no no! She's going to tell her everything.
He popped his head out the window and saw that it didn't take long for Pinkie to find out where he was, she was already talking to the mayor and she pointed right to this direction.
Whitemane: Damn it! They didn't tell me that she was so persistent and obnoxious and....annoying. Well they did tell me she was annoying...damn it! This is NOT going as planned. I bet she's already on her...
*knock knock*
Whitemane: way...DUUUUUH! What now? *he though for a while* hmm....AHA!
He noticed that his house has a back window and popped it open, and flew out of it.
Whitemane: Tough luck Pinkie, hehe.
he didn't notice himself go into a sort of small splash of adrenaline. He just felt really good then and started flying fast. After a short moment of flying he flew past Rainbowdash, leaving her a bit dazed.
Dashie: Woah!
Dashie hadn't seen any pony fly that fast since the young flyers competition. come to think of it, not even the ponies there could rival with him. and yet it still looks like this guy is just taking a stroll. He couldn't let this pony just pass by, and so she followed him.
Dashie: Hey, wait up!
Whitemane: Hm? Doh, not another one.
He stopped flying.
Whitemane: What seems to be the problem miss?
Dashie: em...nothing.
Whitemane: Then why did you stop me?
Dashie: Sorry for the hold up, It's just that i've never seen anyone fly like that before, and i don't think i've seen you before too. You must be new in town. Who are you? And where did you learn to fly like that?
Whitemane: Yes i am new in town, i arrived less then an hour ago. My name is Whitemane by the way. And sorry for the fast flight, i was just trying to escape from one really...persistent pony.
Dashie: Hah! Let me guess- Pinkie Pie? You should know, there's no escaping from her...not even with your speed. My names Rainbowdash and i'm the best flyer Equestria has ever seen and the only one who's ever been able to make a Sonic Rainboom.
Whitemane: Sonic Rainboom? Wasn't that just a legend?
Dashie: Not since i proved it wasn't
whitemane: Impressive.
Dashie: Heh, thanks, i know. Ah i almost forgot. The reason why REALLY stopped you was to challenge you to a race.
Whitemane: Me? Who am i to stand against the breaker of a legend?
Dashie: Hehe, Well yea, i am the best. But you're the fastest i've ever seen. I think you could be a good challenge for me... Just for some exercise..so what do you say, huh? Shall we?
Whitemane: A race huh? Sure, why not. I haven't raced since i was still in school.
Dashie: Alright then we race to that cloud over there- On your marks, get set, GO!
And so the two flyers set off into the air, each leaving a line of colors behind them, a rainbow color for Rainbowdash, of course, and a half black half white colored one for Whitemane. At first the two flew shoulder to shoulder, but eventually Rainbowdash lost him. Soon she reached her destination and started looking around to find that Whitemane was nowhere in sight.
Dashie: Hehe, and the winner is...me!
At that point Whitemane had to ruin her cheering for herself and lay a hoof on her shoulder from behind.
Dashie: Huh?
Whitemane: What took you so long?
Dashie: What?! There's no way!
Whitemane: It was your overconfidence that won the race for me.
Dashie: But..but...how?!
Whitemane: Don't worry, it was just a friendly match.
Dashie: I...hate...loosing.
Whitemane: You can't loose a match that has no winners.
Dashie: Huh? What do you mean?
Whitemane: We weren't in a competition, and therefor there were no winners, and no losers.
Dashie: Heh, yea...I bet i would have beat you if this was a real competition..i'm still not warmed up properly. *she said while being a bit nervous*
Whitemane: I'm sure you would. After all, i'm not the one who made a Sonic Rainboom.
Dashie: Right! hehe, still. You wouldn't mind not telling about this to any pony, would you?
Whitemane: My lips are sealed.
Dashie: Thanks! You rock! i'm sure we'll make good friends...
Whitemane: ...em...friends?...
Dashie: Yea. Hey, do you love pranks? Maybe We could call Pinkie and go pranking together. Now that would be fun.
Whitemane: I...i gotta go
Without further delay, Whitemane set off back to his house with insane speed.
Dashie: Hey! Where are you going?...Well that was weird.
Whitemane arrived home and started swearing again.
Whitemane: Damn it, damn it, damn it, DAMN IT!! 2 friends withing less then an hour...i'm not doing my job of keeping a low profile too well...and what am i gonna do later on when i'll have to go get some groceries? Something tells me that i'll be throwing a slumber party after i get back from that...DUUH. I gotta think of something...hmm...AHAH! I know, ponies make friends only with nice people...except for Pinkie who makes friends with every pony of course...but besides that no one makes friends with a douche bag...then i just have to become one...that's perfect! and that's just what i'm gonna do.

So Whitemane set off to get some food...he knew he was gonna die soon but he didn't want it to be from starvation. On his way he met the rest of the mane six..at first he bumped into Applejack.
Applejack: Oh, pardon me, these apple baskets are so darn heavy i can't keep my eyes on the road properly.
Remember! Whitemane said quietly to himself..be rough!
Whitemane: Oh are they now? Well let me just ease your burden.
Whitemane kicked one of her baskets and it made the other one fall too. All of the apples Applejack was carrying were now poured onto the ground and getting stomped by random ponies.
Applejack: Hey! now why in the hay would you do that for?
Whitemane: What? Don't you know how to say thank you? You said it was heavy so i did what i could to help you, hahahaha
Applejack: Thanks a lot! do you know for how long did it take for me to get those apples this far?
Whitemane: Em...just as long as it's going to take for you do do that again, hahahaha
Whitemane walked off laughing, but secretly feeling very bad about what he did.
Applejack: Now i know that pony won't be a fine addition to the community.
As Whitemane walked on he found Rarity next.
Rarity: Oh my! What and extraordinary mane!
Whitemane: Thanks, i borrowed your carpet so i can make this just right.
Rarity: My Wha???
Whitemane: Your carpet! What, are you deaf as well as ugly? Your sister said the same.
Rarity: My sister?
Whitemane: Oh i'm sorry. Was it your dog then? hahaha, whatever it was, it looks just like you, that's why i thought it was your sister.
Rarity: *gasps* How dare you?! What have i done to deserve such treatment.
Whitemane: It's not what you've done, it's what you are, hahahaha.
Before walking off he grabbed some scissors from a local stand and cut off part of Raritys mane.
Rarity: My mane! My beautiful mane! No!!! Why! Why would you do this?!
Whitemane: Coz i can, hahaha, who's gonna stop me? I don't think you can.
Whitemane walked off and Rarity started crying...
Next Whitemane ran into Twilight. Luckily Whitemane was well informed about all of the mane 6 ponies in Ponyville...that's why he knew about Raritys sister and knew that her mane would mean much to her, and he knew about Twilights obsession with books...*God damn my soul for this* he said to himself.
Twilight: Good day young sir. I don't think i've seen you before. You look quite...interesting. Where are you from?
Whitemane: I'm from your house.
Twilight: What!? What were you doing there?
Whitemane: Clogging your toiler with some of your books and dumping the ones that didn't fit out the window of course. Why? What did you think? You didn't think i was stealing did you. Nonsense, i would never do that...well, not too much anyways...not more then i could carry in any case...
Twilight: ....
Whitemane: Haha! You should see the look on your face! It was about the same as Spikes when i told him where babies come from.
Twilight: What?! No! It wasn't his time to know yet! How could you? Are you insane?
Whitemane: Insane enough to drug Spike to sleep and leave him near a fire made from books in the middle of your library.
Twilight: What!?
Whitemane: Hurry up! you might still make it back in time to save him, hahahaha.
Whitemane walked off once again. Shortly after that, Rarity, Applejack and Pinkie ran up to Twilight, who was currently standing with her mouth wide open.
Rarity, Applejack and Pinkie: Twilight!
Twilight: Huh? Hi guys, you're not gonna believe what kind of conversation i just had...What happened to your mane Rarity?
Rarity: That brute who just talked to you..He cut it! Waaaaa!
Applejack: That pony is worse than Discord! He just dumped my half a days supply of apples into the town square!
Twilight: So i'm not the only one who's been terrorized by him then...i hope he lied about what he did to my home...
Rarity: Believe me, he did.
Twilight: How do you know?
Rarity: He said...things..about my home too, but they weren't true.
Twilight: What about you Pinkie? What did he do to you?
Pinkie: Nothing. I just wanted to welcome him to Ponyville, but after i heard about what he did to you guys, all i wanna do is unwelcome him.
Applejack: That pony is a threat to the society! We need to find him before he cause some damage to the city or hurts any other pony.
Twilight: Right! follow me, i know where he went.
the girls set out to find the villain. Meanwhile, Whitemane reached the grocery stand. He walked up to the stand at the same time with another pony.
Ha! what poor sucker am i gonna have to beat up to get to my groceries. sorry pony, it just ain't you da....day...
He gazed upon the who walked up to the stand with him. It was the most most beautiful pony he had ever seen in his life. No, he didn't fall in love, he never loved anyone, he didn't even know what love was, but he did realize that he won't be able to douche bag his way out of this one.
Fluttershy ( not the assertive one) : Oh, i'm sorry, you must have been first, please go ahead.
Whitemane: ...No i'm pretty sure it was you, i just got here. Please go ahead, i insist.
Fluttershy: Oh, why thank you mister...
Whitemane: Whitemane.
Fluttershy: Whitemane. that's and interesting name. You look interesting yourself.
Whitemane: Thanks...i guess.
Fluttershy: Oh, i meant that as a good thing, i'm sorry if that sounded wrong. It's just that i've never seen any pony with a mane like yours. It looks so nice.
Whitemane: Thank you. I got my name thanks to this mane. Might i just say that you look lovely yourself?
Fluttershys cheeks got red.
Fluttershy: Oh...thank you.
Whitemane: What's wrong, did i say something wrong?
Fluttershy: No, it's just..people don't complement me too often.
Whitemane: What?! Why not? Your so kind and...beautiful.
Fluttershy: Beautiful...
fluttershys cheeks got more red than ever before in her life.
Fluttershy: No ones ever called me that before.
Whitemane: Well they should...because it's the honest truth.
Fluttershy lowered her head from the shyness, but Whitemane softly grabbed her chin and look her in the eyes.
Whitemane: Why are you so shy? I'm not going to hurt you. I just want you to know, that you deserve to be treated better.
Fluttershy: But i am treated good. My friends are the best. I couldn't ask for better ones.
Whitemane: That's good to hear.
Whitemane smiled at Fluttershy and she smiled right back to him. At that point the four ponies who were chasing him arrived.
Applejack: There he is! Oh no! He already found Fluttershy. She's so sensitive, he's going to hurt her...poor Fluttershy. Come on guys, we need to get him fast before Fluttershy gets hurt.
The girls ran towards Fluttershy and Whitemane.
Applejack: Fluttershy
Fluttershy: Girls! There they are! My friends, i can't wait to introduce you to them. They're the best!
Applejack: Hold on Fluttershy, were coming!
Whitemane: Uh oh..time to take my leave.
Whitemane quickly grabbed some groceries and left a few coins on the table and ran off.
Fluttershy: Wait! Why are you leaving?
Whitemane: I'm sorry, i never should have talked to you..
Fluttershy: Wait!
She called but to no avail, he was gone in a few seconds.
Rarity, Twilight Applejack and Pinkie and also Rainbowdash (who found the girls while they were running through the city) reached Fluttershy.
Applejack: Darn it, he escaped. Are you ok sugar cube?
Fluttershy: Of course, why wouldn't i be?
Rarity: Why wouldn't you?! That brute is a real meanie.
Applejack: Softly spoken.
Fluttershy: Who? Whitemane?
Twilight: Yes! I've never seen such a rude and ill behaved pony in my entire life.
Fluttershy: What? No! Whitemane was the nicest and kindest pony i've ever met, we can't be talking about the same pony.
Applejack: There ain't no pony else with a mane and tail like that.
Twilight: But Whitemane was a real brute! To all of us, why would he be so nice to Fluttershy?
Dashie: He wasn't mean to me either. He did run off for no reason when we talked, but other than that he was and alright guy...and an awesome flyer!
Pinkie: He wasn't exactly mean to me either, and he also ran off while talking to me.
Twilight: So...so far he's been mean to three of us, neutral to two of us and polite towards one of us...does that make any sense?

Dashie: Don't know...maybe there's something about you 3 he doesn't like?
AJ(Applejack): Now what in the hay is that supposed to mean? He doesn't even know us.
Dashie: Hehe just kidding. But one thing is certain- this guy is hiding something...but what?
The girls kept talking for a while. Meanwhile Whitemane was back home and swearing again.
Whitemane: Damn it! What's wrong with me? Why couldn't i just bully her like the rest of those ponies i'm only gonna hurt her this way? So what if she was so kind and beautiful...big deal....big deal indeed...This is not who i am....*deep breath* well, at least i left them confused as hell. and i don't think they'll be bothering me for the night, so i think it's time to hit the hay. *yawn* I am getting a bit tired...Yea bed seems fine right now...goodnight me.
right before falling asleep he made a quick note in his diary.
Without further worries Whitemane went to sleep, too tired to even close the window. What he didn't know was that the girls were planning a visit to him at night. They thought that he might be a part of some kind of cult or something, so they decided to infiltrate his home during the night. Once Whitemane was asleep, Rainbowdash flew in through the window and started quietly looking around. She didn't find anything suspicious, his bags weren't even unpacked yet, so she searched them. She found nothing but ordinary pony clothes, mostly clothes fit for school. One thing did attract her attention though-a diary left on his desk. She grabbed it and flew over to the girls to read it.
Dashie: Now we'll find out everything there is to know about you.
Twilight: Nice work Rainbow. Come on girls, lets get over to my house and read it.
And so they did. at first they read the very last entry.
Diary: Dear diary, today i finally arrived at that town they suggested me going. It was supposed to be a quiet and calm down, but you wouldn't believe how many ponies tried to make friends with me today. I thought if i'd be a douche bag, no one would want to be friends with me and i could sleep calmly. The strategy did work..but there was one pony whose charm i just couldn't resist..Fluttershy was it? Never before in my life have i seen such a beautiful and kindhearted mare...i did manage to leave the rest of them confused. Well, i needn't worry much, for i still have just one day left. Goodnight, diary.
Dashie: Well that explains why he was nice to Fluttershy. But we still don't know why is he so determined no to make friends and what does that one day mean...lets read more.
The girls turned a few pages and read almost everything there was written in the diary. Soon they found themselves with eyes full of tears. Fluttershy was the first one to start crying...even Rainbowdash couldn't resist a minor tearshed.
in the older pages of the diary they found out that after Whitemane finished school, he and all his friends went seperate ways. He had lots of fun in his teen years, but after that the joy was simply stripped from his life. He became more and more depressed with each passing day. Soon afterwards, the doctors made a diagnose of some kind of weird disease on him, he himself didn't remember then name of the diagnosis, but he did remember what it meant- lack of joy in life, which was fatal for most ponies. Ponies needed joy in their life every day, otherwise their lives become meaningless and some kind of part of the brain tells them that their life is over. That's how ponies die in Equestria- they die when there's no joy left in their lives. But this was the first ever time when some pony so young would loose all joy in his life.
When he heard about him having only a few days left to live since his brain already gave an impulse that he's ready to die, he didn't even care, he just wanted to live somewhere quiet for the rest of his days. He didn't want to make friends because he knew that it would hurt them if they had to see him die, and would probably remember him...but remembering can often be painful...
Dashie: I only just met the only pony who's ever flied as good as me and the very same day i find out that he's practically a walking corpse...It's not fair! It's just not fair!!
AJ: So that's why he was such a bully. He hurt us because he didn't want to hurt us.
Rarity: Well, but he did a pretty good job at hurting us anyways.
Pinkie: Does this mean i won't even get to welcome him to Ponyville.
Twilight: He does have one more day left though...
Fluttershy: Oh, but one day is such a small amount of time.
Dashie: Yea! You can't do a lot of races in one day.
Twilight: Maybe not, but you CAN have a good day!
AJ: i hear ya.
Twilight: What would you girls say, if we'd make Whitemanes next day, the best day of his life.
Dashie: Yea! Sounds good to me.
AJ: I'm with ya on that one.
Pinkie: Oh boy! I'll make the best party i've ever made for him...i've never made a goodbye party before...goodbye as in...for good.
Fluttershy: *nods*
Rarity: Fine, lets just go to bed already.
Big Mac: Eeyup!
Twilight: ...Where did that come from? O_O
and with that the girls all went to bed, while thinking about the following day.

On the next day, the first pony to wake up was Whitemane. He yawned and stretched for a bit to get the morning going, but then he noticed that he had left the window open and that his diary was missing.
Whitemane: ...Damn. That's what i get for leaving my most prized possession in the most spot able area in the room...damn it, this can mean only one thing...they know...and they're probably gonna come for me...there goes my plan of keeping a low profile, now every pony knows everything about me...damn it! how much further do i need to go to be left alone?
Whitemane already knew the answer, he could see it from right outside his window- Everfree forest. He decided to spend his final day there..in complete isolation. So without further delay he flew right into Everfree forest without even taking anything with him. In the forest he found a suitable spot for him to spend the time. a giant birds nest in the trees. He had studied ornitology back at school and knew that this kinda nest is abandoned. So he just made him self comfortable in the nest and took a long nap.
By that time the mane six was wide awake and already at Whitemanes house and had realized that he's set off to find isolation.
Twilight: Oh no! He knows we know, and now he's gone.
Dashie: We need to find him!
Rarity: Why? Let him just go! If the pony wants to spend the rest of his life unbothered, why not let him do that?
Twilight: No! It's our fault he's even there...wherever he is. It's our duty to show him what true friends are like.
AJ: Right! But how do we find him?
Twilight: Hmm
Dashie: I bet he went into Everfree forest!
Twilight: What makes you think that?
Dashie: Coz, it's the closest isolated place to go to?
Twilight: Oh. Right.
Pinkie: Well what are we waiting for then? Lets go.
Pinkie Pie bounced off to the direction of Everfree forest and the rest of the girls followed her. For a cause like this they had to put aside their fear of the forest. They spent quite a while trying to find him, but eventually Fluttershy found him in a birds nest.
Dashie: I don't, believe it.
Fluttershy: And you told me looking in a birds nest was a dumb idea.°
Twilight: Can you get him down from there?
Dashie: No problem!
Rainbowdash flew above Whitemane. Whitemane raised his glasses for a few seconds to see Dash and Fluttershy flying above him and lowered his sunglasses back to their original position.
Whitemane: Could you please move aside? Your blocking the sun.
Fluttershy: But there is no sun in Everfree forest.
Whitemane: Just kidding, hehe. So what brings such fine young and beautiful ladies like you to this dark and smelly place?
Fluttershy: Oh you flatter me, *giggles*
Dashie: Snap out of it!
Whitemane: Did i mention talented?
Dashie: Oh stop it, you're just saying that.
Whitemane: Indeed i am saying that..i am saying the honest truth.
Dashie: I'm nowhere near as talented as you are.
Whitemane: I live on luck, not talent. You on the other hand go through things with pure skill and good looks.
Dashie: Hehe, thanks, you ain't half bad yourself.
Dashie shakes her head.
Dashie: brlglghr. Enough! You're coming with us!
Whitemane: You sound as if though you were one of Celestias guards.
Dashie: I might not have the uniform, but i handle myself in a fight.
Whitemane: Are you going to fight me then?
Dashie: No! Just come with us
Whitemane: Naah thank you, i'm fine here.
Fluttershy: Oh but you must come with us. Twilight insists we make this your best day ever.
Whitemane: Chilin in an abandoned birds nest in the middle of some horrid forest while accompanied by two beautiful pegasi, i'd say this already is the best day of my life.
Dashie: Haha. very funny. Listen we can do this the easy way, or my way.
Whitemane: I never was a pony for easy tastes, i think i'm taking the easy way.
Dashie: Ha! i was hoping you'd say....Wait what?
Whitemane: Hahahahaha! Oh and not to mention the fun you guys provide. That was hilarious.
Dashie: GRR! You're unbelievable!
Whitemane: Better start believing Dashie, i'm right here and right now.
Dashie: Grab his legs Fluttershy.
Whitemane: Ooh! I like where this is going!
Dashie: Shut up and let me grab you're arms.
Whiteman: Your wish is my command, my queen.
Fluttershy: *giggles* Oh, you're funny Whitemane.
Whitemane: Thank, thank you very much.
Dashie: Shut up...
The girls grabbed him and slowly carried him to the ground where the rest of the mane six were waiting.
Whitemane: Hehe...hello Rarity.
Rarity grunted.
Whitemane: So what now? Am i about to get executed? Come to cut my last day short have ya?
AJ: Now i know you weren't exactly polite to some of us back there, but all is forgiven
Rarity: Hmmph.
AJ: Mostly... But what's important is that we want to make your last day your best day.
Twilight: You need to see what true friends are like.
Whitemane: ...After all that i've done?
Twilight: You had your reasons, and they were noble...by hurting us you actually tried to save us from getting hurt.
Whitemane: ...So it seems...i see you hold little respect for privacy then.
Dashie: He he...Well...You were asking for it!
Whitemane: Nevertheless, you've already shown me a part of what being a true friend means...being able to forgive any misdeed.
Dashie: A lesson Rarity still needs to learn.
Rarity: You! I swear i'm gonna..
Twilight: Girls!
Whitemane: Haha! This is amusing. Please, go on.
Twilight: At least some pony is having fun. But listen up now Whitemane. Do you accept our offer of making this your best day ever?
Fluttershy: We'll do the best we can.
AJ: Or die trying
Whitemane: Easy now, we don't want more then one dead pony at the end of the day now do we? Hehe. But anyways, what choice do i have? have the time of my life or spend the rest of my life in some abandoned nest...which i doubt you're gonna let me do anyhow. So i guess i'm in.
Dashie: Awesome! Lets do this!
Pinkie: Lets get out of this forest for starters.

And so it began- the best day of Whitemanes life, each pony showed Whitemane how they see fun. At first he spent hours of racing through the sky with Rainbowdash. Then went on Applebucking with Applejack and getting his stomach full of apple pie. Then he headed on to Raritys boutique, he though he'd do something not so fun for a change, but...damn! Rarity found some clothes that looked as though they were made just for him. Whitemane looked more badass than ever before. Then he headed to Twilights house where she showed him some of her most prized spells which she normally wouldn't use just for common entertainment, but, since this was a special ocassion...After that however he went to Fluttershys house and met some of her more exotic animals..not that he cared much for animals...he just cherished the company...no pony made him feel so good while being besides him as Fluttershy did.
And of course to top all that they spent the rest of the day at Pinkies house...that was one heck of a party...pinkie named it the party of the century. Everyone had a really really really good time, especially Whitemane...that was a day that no pony would soon forget. Whitemane even told them a few things he normaly wouldn't tell ponies he for only so long, he even revealed his cutie mark to them and explained how he got it. His cutie mark was 4 aces. Back in his school days he and his friends started playing card games and gambling to kill time during the brakes, and Whitemane was the best of the best, he always seemed to have 'an ace up the sleeve' not just while gambling but also in many situations in life, when things seemed bad, he would just chill his way out of it and always play it cool, as if he already knew what would happen. So his friends name him- Whitemane Ace-up-the-sleeve, and most friends just called him "Ace". Rainbowdash seemed particularly interested in his stories, she was simply blown away by how awesome this guy was. If there was one word that described Whitemane better then any other then it would be 'badass'. Whitemane even allowed the ponies to call him "Ace" which Rainbowdash did with great passion. They had the time of their lives...until...
As night came, every pony started feeling sad and couldn't party anymore, because they all knew what this meant...Whitemanes days are numbered...and less than one is left.
Pinkie: Boy, that was one great party, we'll have to do this again some time soon...too bad you won't be able to join us again Whitemane...*said Pinkie with a grim look on her face*
AJ: It sure was good while it lasted. I only wish it had lasted longer.
Rarity: Agreed.
Dashie: Seems like i raced with you for the final time...you'll be racing with other pegasi in heaven soon enough.
Fluttershy wanted to say something but couldn't..she just started crying.
Whitemane walked up to her, and softly raised up her head and looked her in the eyes.
Whitemane: Why are you crying? Don't cry.
Fluttershy: How can i not cry? Your dying in front of my very own eyes.
Whitemane: But crying won't make me stay. Sometimes we just have to go, and nothing can be changed. Don't worry, you have plenty of wonderful friends here with you, they will take care of you no matter what.
Twilight: So...what happens now?
Whitemane: I go home...and...i wait...wait until it's all over.
Twilight: well then...i guess this is goodbye...you're going to a better place.
Whitemane: Hah! No place can be better than where i am now. Thank you for your time, this really was the best day of my life. Friends like you are worth having. I only wish this day could have lasted forever.
Whitemane said while slowly walking towards the door.
Whitemane: Take care of Fluttershy for me, will you? she needs a good friend.
Dashie: That's it...he's gone.
pinkie: What happens now? Is the party still going?
AJ: I'm sorry Pinkie, i'm just not in the mood for cake right now.
And with that every pony made their way to their homes, except for pinkie of course who already was home. This was the first party from which ponies left with such grim faces. Soon every pony was back home, including Whitemane, whose final hours just began.

As Whitemane arrived home he just sat on the edge of his bed, starring at the ground and waited...waited for the end. He himself stuck to his style- always playing it cool, so he started a tune which suited the situation quite perfectly...
Waiting for the end to come,
wishing i had strenght to stand,
this is not what i had planned,
it's out of my controooool.
And after that he started another tune.
Hello darkness my old friend,
i've come to talk with you again,
because a vision softly creeping,
plant it's seeds while i was sleeping,
and the vision, that was planted in my brain,
still remains, within the sound of silence.
One after another he started singing all the tunes he knew that would fit his mood, leaving the saddest one of them all for the end.
I've hurt myself today, to see if i still feel.
I focused on the pain, the only thing that's real.
The needle tears a hole, the old familiar sting.
Try to kill it all away, but i remember everything.
What have i become? My sweetest friend.
Every pony i knew, goes away, in the end.
And you could have it all, my empire of dirt.

Whitemane: Any minute now...hmm, the doctors said something about how the final symptoms of the disease would kick in shortly before dying and that they would be the ones that would actually kill me...but what were they?
He just couldn't remember what they were, so he just kept on waiting for them to start for themselves. He took his final thoughts to wonder about what the girls are thinking right now.
Whitemane: I hope i haven't made them worry too much...
but he did...Applejack was quite upset, she wanted another friend like Rainbowdash, some pony who was a real athlete...she wanted to go test their strenghts all three together one day, but knew that it could never be possible. So she tried to forget and fall asleep as quick as possible, but it just wasn't that easy to forget something like that.
AJ: I'm sure gonna miss you Whitemane...
She took a deep breath and slowly walked up to the window to take one look at Whitemanes house, she could easily spot in in the moonlight from her home.
AJ: Rest in peace...Ace...i wish you many more games to play, for where you are going.
And with that Applejack walked back to her bed and tucked herself in and managed to fall asleep after a short while.
Things weren't so easy for Fluttershy either, she wouldn't close her eyes for half an hour, she just kept thinking about how nice Whitemane was to her. No pony else was ever that kind towards her, and now with him gone, no pony probably ever will be. All she wished for was to help him get better, but she didn't know anything about the disease he had, she never even heard about any pony dying and so she didn't know how it happens...well now she knew...for an hour or so, she kept on thinking what happens to ponies after they die. She conviced herself that Whitemane was going to a better place. That's the only way she actually managed to not stay awake for the rest of the night.
Fluttershy: Goodbye Whitemane...I'm sorry, i promised i wouldn't cry...but i...
A few tears dropped from her eyes, but she stopped crying soon enough.
Pinkie wasn't doing so well either. She spent quite a while just walking around the room after the party was over.
Pinkie: Welcoming party, goodbye party, welcoming party, goodbye party...how can two such different parties be one and the same party? it just doesn't make sense. If only Whitemane didn't have to....waahaaa. It's just not fair.
After a while of crying and kicking and hiting the floor and yelling "it's just not fair", Pinkie finally decided to hit the hay.
But not even the three previous ponies sorrows combined were as bad as it was for Rainbowdash.
Dashie: No!...No!...NOOOO! Why? Why me? Why him? Why now?! NAAAAW! *she kept screaming with her eyes full of tears* Ace...please don't go....please...Don't go there where i can't follow...I'd fly to the ends of the earth and back if i had to...It's just not fair! Why do you have to go? The only pony who's ever beaten me in a race and he has to die this night. It's just not fair..Waaahaahaaa....
Rainbowdash never even went to sleep, she just sat on the ledge of the window waiting for the sun to come up so she could go check on Whitemane...still hoping that this was all just a prank.
Dashie: Don't go Ace...please...don't go.......don't go....
Tears kept falling from her eyes for hours. She just couldn't take it...
Well at least some pony didn't have that much problems falling asleep. Rarity. Even though she held little respect for the new guest, still, even her heart opened up at that moment to take one last moment to remember the new pony.
Rarity: Well he was a fun guest at the party, and my mane will grow back in time...but that was utterly unnecessary! He could have just ignored me...Still...He would have made a fine addition to the community.
Rarity spent a few short moments thinking about the new pony but fell asleep soon enough.
There still was one pony who didn't have any problems at all falling asleep-Twilight Sparkle...she was very calm, and even....happy? What's up with her? She had already fallen soundly asleep. How could she take this hit so well? She didn't hate the new pony, on the contrary, she was the one who decided to make his last day so cheerful in the first place. Maybe it was something she knew? Something Whitemane was only about to find out.
As Whitemane kept thinking about how he might have made the girls feel he said to himself.
Whitemane: I'm sorry girls...i should have never come here.
He layed his head down and waited..for another 3 or 4 hours.
Whitemane: Damn it, how long will this take? I should have already been dead by now! Why am i still here? Why, why why?! It's almost morning, what am i going to say if the girls come, try and find me? : Sorry girls, please wait up, i'll be dead in a few seconds, bleh...Duuh, this isn't making any sense! the doctors said i should have been dead at the beginning of this night. What else did they say, come on whitemane, think, think, think!
And think he did, and he remembered what the doctors said- there was a cure for this disease...if the disease itself was a lack of joy in life, then all that needs to be done is return the joy to ones life and you are cured. But since his school days were over and he didn't have any friends no more, all the joy from his life was gone...he couldn't even imagine himself becoming cheerful ever again. But it actually hapened...that day, these six ponies showed him what life was all about, and what true friends look like....they...cured him.
Whitemane: I owe my life to these ponies. i've never felt this good before in my life, and it's all thanks to them.
whitemane layed back in his bed and crossed his hoofs and layed them under his head as if they were a pillow. and so he waited, while thinking.
Whitemane: Hmm, what now? Do fly far away and get out of their lives and pretend i'm dead, but actually start a whole new life, or do i stay here and live every day like it was my last?
This was the first time in his life when Whitemane couldn't make a decision, but he needn't do it, it already made it for him. The sun dawned, brighter than ever before, brighter than any pony had ever seen it, and the sun wasn't the only thing that looked in his window. Fluttershy and Rainbowdash were the first ones to arrive in his house, and they flew right in the window. Words couldn't describe how happy they were to see Whitemane still alive and kicking. Without hesitation they flew right over to him and gave him a great big hug. *Now that's the way i like to start my morning* Whitemane though to himself. Soon afterwards, the door opened, and the first one to walk in was Applejack, who also was overjoyed to see Whitemane alive and rushed to his side, and the same goes for Pinkie who was right behind Applejack. Now the four ponies were all bouncing around in Whitemanes bed and smiling like never before.
Whitemane felt like he was at the top of the world that moment, he compared himself to Frodo from the end of the 3rd part of the "Lord of the rings" and compared Fluttershy and Rainbowdash to Merry and Pipin, Applejack and Pinkie to Gimli and Aragorn. But a few ponies were still missing, ah there's one of em. just like Legolas, Rarity walked into the room like a gentle pony and looked upon Whitemane with a smile and walked over to him as well.. But one pony was still missing...Twilight, soon she arrived too, but when she did she just stood there at the entrance smiling at Whitemane...just like Sam did...What is she so...calm about? Thought Whitemane...It almost looks as if....as if she KNEW! How? How in the nine hells could have she known i was still alive?...That pony really does have a book for everything doesn't she? though Whitemane. But nevermind, right now i'm enjoying myself far too much to think about minor things like that.
After a while of bouncing and hugging Whitemane, they all sat down and Whitemane explained everything to them.
Whitemane: I thank you for what you did for me...even after the way i behaved...it was unforgivable.
AJ: Aww shucks, it was nothing really, any pony would have done the same for you in our shoes.
Whitemane: Hmm. i think i can think of a few ponies who wouldn't have.
Rarity: Don't you dare!
Whitemane: Haha! not you Rarity..a few of my friends back at school. They could learn a thing or two about friendship from you.
Twilight: Speaking of which, Whitemane. Would you like to write a letter to princess Celestia about what you've learned today?
Whitemane: Haha, sure. Why not?
And so he did. And the letter sounded like this.
dear princes Celestia: I know you don't know me, but i know you, and my name is Whitemane. Your students here in Ponyville have learned their lesson well. Today i learned many things from them. i learned that true friends forgive you, no matter how matter how bad your crimes against them are, and i also learned with true friends time flies with the speed of light, that's just how much fun friends can be. But most importantly, i learned that true friendship knows no bounds...not even death can tear you appart...

since that day forward, Whitemane lived every day to it's max, and he spent hours of having fun with each and everyone of his friends, even Rarity. He did everything there was to do around Ponyville- countless races with Rainbowdash, he even teached her a few things, hours spent watching Twilight do magic. He didn't know magic himself but he showed Twilight loads of card tricks, to which she replied:
Twilight: I didn't know you can do magic...how can you do magic without a horn.
Whitemane: Hehe, why do you think they call me Ace?
A plenthora of parties with Pinkie, both day and night...damn did he love to party. He also enjoyed applebucking with Applejack and loved the clothes Rarity made for him. She never made clothes like that for any pony...weird, i wonder why she ever did that for him?
And of course, hours of sitting and watching Fluttershy feed her animals...he even thought about asking her to be his very special pony on hearts and hooves day, but that never was his kinda thing...still..he thought he might give it a shot...if there ever was a pony he would give a chance to then it was Fluttershy. time will tell, after all, it ain't that long to hearts and hooves day. one thing was certain though, he was going to buy her flowers on that day, just to see her expression...he loved seeing her cheeks get red...One thing wouldn't leave his mind though...What if Rainbowdash felt the same way about him, cause she was pretty fond of him...naah, Rainbowdash isn't some pony for having such a feeling for some pony.....is she?....oh boy...
