The Dark Guardians
Interrogation
Previous ChapterNext ChapterSpike was confused and stunned for two reasons. Number one, he saw Twilight was out of the house and number two, she never woke up this early in her life. The baby Dragon scratched his head as he tried to figure out where she went. He walked through the tree to try and find her and saw only messed books which just made him even more suspicious. Then he looked into the bathroom and saw signs of struggling due to various bathroom appliances all over the place.
Did she stumble around last night while I was sleeping? No. That wouldn’t explain why I was in a sleeper hold by somepony outside. So did that pony.. but who’d be crazy enough to fillynap an Alicorn? Spike asked in his thoughts as he tried to figure out what happened. He looked over and saw a small metal object which he recognized as a throwing star. Whoa….. oh crud that means the pony who fillynapped Twi’ was a- before he could finish the thought Spike heard a knock come from outside of the library and went to go check it. When he opened the door, he smiled at the sight of his friend Rainbow Dash.
“Hey Rainbow.” He said to her.
“Hey Spike. What’s up?” She asked him.
“Twilight’s not here. It’s weird though. She never gets up this early.” He replied. Nervous sweat trying to emerge from his skin as he tried to make the lie convincing. He was relieved when Rainbow seemed to accept the answer.
“Oh about that, she has a… sleepwalking and a sleepflying problem. I found her at the Dojo this morning sleeping on the stairs.” She said making the Dragon give off a sigh of relief.
“Thanks for that Rainbow. Can I come see her some time?” He asked her.
“Actually why not now? I mean she probably would like to see her number one assistant by her side right?” She asked him in reply. Spike nodded in excitement, seeing as how Twilight never let him go to the Dojo anyways this would be a perfect excuse to go see what it’s like. Rainbow turned around, allowing the young Dragon to wrap his arms around her neck.
“Ready?” She asked him.
“As I’ll ever be.” He replied with a gulp.
“Then hang on Spikey Boy!” She said happily as she flapped her wings before taking into the skies. As she cheered happily as she sliced through the air like a knife through hot butter, Spike held a death grip on her, praying to Celestia that this ride would be over soon. What he didn’t realize was that Rainbow had secretly planted a dart on him with her wings that was slowly making him tired but the effect would take place fully the moment they got to the Dojo. She hated doing this to the little guy but her secret had to be hidden even from her friends. They were starting to get closer to it when Spike suddenly started loosening his grip on Rainbow which made her realize she had to pick up the pace. She landed right in front of it when he finally allowed sleep to overtake him. She sighed as she placed him over her shoulder.
“Sorry ‘bout that Spikey ol’ pal. But I can’t let you know.” She said in a saddened tone. She walked for a few yards before making it to the Dojo. As soon as she opened the door, Fluttershy ran up to them.
“Rainbow what did you do?!” Fluttershy asked in a shocked voice.
“I had to make sure he didn’t see my other self. Otherwise.. I don’t want to know the otherwise. Now help me. He’s heavier than he looks!” She said as her knees began to fail her. Fluttershy acted fast and grabbed his scaly legs and helped her friend carry the large reptile. The two pegasi carried him over to a nearby bench and laid him down on it as they slipped back into their ninja outfits. Silent knocked on Twilight’s door who slid it open soon after. The lavender mare turned her head and saw the two ninjas with the Dragon and gasped as she went up to the three.
“Spike! What did you-”
“Don’t worry. He’s just asleep. He’ll wake up soon. We wouldn’t dare hurt him.” Silent replied as she showed her the dart.
“Thank Celestia.” Twilight said happily. She took her baby brother from the two and laid him in her lap. “I’m glad you brought him. I’ve been lonely while you were out.” She said a she stroked his ear fins. Silent smiled under mouthguard as she looked at the two siblings. Silent on the other hand was starting to leave. Silent noticed this and placed a hand on her sensei’s shoulder. Swift sighed and turned around to face Twilight.
“So Twilight, now that we’ve brought your brother here, can you tell us that suspect list again?” Swift asked.
“Sure. Gilda the Griffon, Trixie Lulamoon, Discord, Queen Chrysalis, and… there was one more. But I can’t remember her name.” Twilight replied. Swift nodded as she flared her wings and flew out of the building towards the Griffon lands for her first suspect. Her old friend Gilda.
Gilda the Griffoness. Many words describe her. Violent, always angry, foul beaked, and many others. But today, none of those words were matching her right now. Today she was just sitting in her apartment, drinking a warm beer.
“Stupid bartender telling me I can’t stay longer. I DO WHAT I FREAKING WANT!” She roared as she took a large gulp from her beer before she threw it across the room, shattering the bottle “Stupid Rainbow. So what if I insulted her stupid friends. It’s not like she would’ve done the same fucking thing. What does she see in those losers that I don’t have huh?” She asked herself as she rose from her chair and went to her fridge. As she opened it, the cool air from the inside flowed through her feathers. But as she reached in for another beer, she felt a hand wrap around her neck, causing her to squawk in surprise. But with a free elbow, she slammed into her attacker’s ribs, hoping that he or she would let her go.
The attacker still held on but Gilda flared her wings before she flew back and hit a wall. This was enough to loosen the grip of the attacker and gave Gilda the time she needed to grab them. She flung the creature across the room and saw that it was a pegasus wearing a blue metallic looking outfit and a matching mouth guard. This only made her angrier and flew towards her as it got back up and dodged her. Gilda then picked up and empty beer bottle and smashed it against the wall, giving her a new weapon. She charged at her opponent and swung wildly, hoping to land a scratch. She did land one on her arm, making the assailant bleed from the three scratches it left. But the attacker got a strike back when it knocked the bottle from her talons and gave a roundhouse kick to Gilda’s jaw, sending her to the floor.
“WHY YOU NO GOOD LITTLE PONY-” What ever she was about to say was interrupted when she was punched by the masked pony and rendered unconscious.
You know if you just let me put you to sleep you could’ve avoided this Gilda. The pony thought to herself as she pulled out a chair and some rope. As she did this though her wings suddenly flapped open into the form pegasi and griffons had come to call the wingboner. The attacker forced her wings back down with great difficulty and picked the griffoness up and tied her legs apart to the separate legs of the chair. But as she tied the griffon’s talons to the chair, she then received a ram to her face. She rubbed her face and realized that her mask was missing. She peered through her fingers and saw that Gilda had her mask in her claws.
“G-got you now you little shit. Now show me your face.” She demanded but was amazed when she felt the mask leave her talons so quickly and growled when she also realize that her only leverage was now gone.
“I don’t have time to play games griffon. Do you know a pony by the name of Twilight Sparkle?” She demanded from her prisoner.
“Yeah. So what?!” The Griffon asked angrily.
“Well where were you last night around 10:30 to 12:00 last night?” She asked back.
“I was at the bar as always. Why? Need a little info about me and what relationship me and that bitch have?!” This was replied through a slap from the masked pony.
“Can anyone confirm this?” She asked her. Gilda just rolled her eyes.
“Yeah the bartender and several injured griffons I landed in the hospital.” She replied. This caused the pony to giggle a little as she remembered how they both got into fights all the time back in flight school.
“Alright. But would you have a hatred enough to try and kill her?” Rainbow asked making the Griffon give a shocked look.
“W-What?! I.. no! Sure I don’t like her but not enough to kill her! I’m not a fucking animal!” Gilda replied. This caused the pony to sigh in relief and irritance. She was glad that one of her old friends wasn’t responsible but on the other hand this meant that the one responsible was still out there.
“That’s all I needed to hear. I can tell you mean it. Sorry for the inconvenience.” Rainbow said as she turned to leave.
“No problem…. Rainbow Dash.” Gilda said making the pegasus stop.
“I’m not who you speak of.” She said back to her.
“I can see your cutie mark plain as day Rainbow. It’s you.” Gilda said with a smirk on her beak. Rainbow looked down and noticed that her cutie mark was in fact showing. She realized that was Gilda’s motive when she rammed her.
“That was smart Gilda I gotta give you props for that one.” She said as she removed the mouth guard revealing her full face. Gilda just chuckled.
“Come on Dash. I mean it wasn’t hard when I saw what you were. I knew that if I couldn’t beat you I could at least see who you were and if I didn’t know you I had something to tell the cops. Now give me a reason I don’t do that right now.” She finished with a snarl.
“Gilda, we’re friends. Ever since we were little. You wouldn’t do that to a friend now would you?” She asked as she leaned down towards the griffoness. But as she did, she noticed that her friend’s wings were… stiffening. Stiffening until they were fully erect in the air. Rainbow just stared at the sight before her. Gilda, one of the toughest and arrogant griffons she knew, had just achieved a wing boner out of no where. “Um…. is there something I should-”
“None of your buisness Dash!” Gilda squawked at her. Dash just continued to stare at the stiff wings which were starting to loosen. She then looked down at where Gilda’s eyes were staring and saw why her wings hardened. She was looking at her chest.
S-She’s into- Rainbow started to think.
“Can you let me go now?!” Gilda asked as she rocked around in her chair. Rainbow nodded and took out a knife. She cut the ropes of Gilda’s arms and legs and allowed her to rub them. “So before you go off wanna drink or something?” Gilda asked as she went back to her fridge.
“No thanks. I gotta head home. It was nice talking to you though.” She said getting a giggle out of Gilda. Rainbow headed to the window and flew out of it, heading straight for her Dojo.
