The Battle For Canterlot

Chapter 2

Night time soon fell upon Canterlot. As changelings patrolled the streets two shadows ran through the alleyways and darkness. Raging Bullet and Mezzo Forte were trying to get to Raging Bullets house for FREs (Flowers Ready to Eat) and Raging’s most prized weapons, His Suppressed Berretta M9 and his M4 Carbine with Suppresser and Acog scope. Then they were going to stop by Mezzo Fortes house to get a picture.

“Are you sure you’re going to have to use those?” Mezzo Forte asked about the guns.

“If we want to take Canterlot back than were going to need all the firepower we can get.” Raging Bullet said.

“I am not so sure about this anymore. I didn’t think there were going to be this many changelings.” Mezzo Forte said.

“Shhh” Raging motioned for Mezzo Forte to stop.

There was a changeling standing outside Raging Bullets house.

“Shit” Mezzo said.

“Hold on I have a plan. Mezzo I need you to distract him.” Raging said.

“WHAT?!. No, I cant.” Mezzo said nervously.

“Have I ever let you get hurt before? I just need you to get him to start walking away from my direction so I can slit his throat.” Raging Bullet said.

“Okay I’ll do it.” Mezzo Forte said.

“Hey over here.” Mezzo Forte whispered.

The changeling guard looked at Mezzo and was about to draw when somepony came up behind him and slit his throat. Raging looked at Mezzo Forte and motioned it was ok to come out. Raging dragged the body inside his house and put it down after it was rolled into a carpet.

“Okay Mezzo I want you to stay here and keep a look out while I go get what we need.” Raging said as he started to walk to his room.

Raging got to his room and went straight to his closet. He sighed a sigh of relief that his guns were still in the case. Raging grabbed his combat vest and put his pistol, 2 pistol clips, 4 M4 Clips and his walkie-talkie and went back to Mezzo Forte.

“I hope you can handle one of these.” Raging said to Mezzo Forte as he tossed a suppressed pistol to him.

“I know how to shoot.” Mezzo Forte said rolling his eyes.

“We ready to head out?” Raging Bullet said to Mezzo Forte.

“My house next?” Mezzo Forte asked.

“Yea, So what are you getting at your house?” Raging Bullet asked curiously.

“I want to get a picture of Crystal Chaos and I at the beach.” Crystal Chaos was Mezzo Fortes Mare Friend and she was away to Manehatten for business.

As they were walking in the alleys Raging Bullet thought he could hear gunfire. He ran to where he thought he heard the gunfire. What he saw was a horrific sight, all in a line there were six ponies slumped against a wall with blood splattered above them. Raging told Mezzo Forte to stay put while he went to check out the bodies. He checked to see if any of them were alright but sadly they were all dead. He was thinking of why the changelings would do this when a loud gunshot brought him out of his thoughts. Raging sprang to his hooves and bolted back to Mezzo Forte.

“Run! Now! Go get your picture I will meet you back at the cave.” Raging said and as Mezzo Forte was leaving Raging wished him luck.

With Mezzo Forte safe, Raging Bullet was able to pick off a few of his shooters. But he knew he had to get out of there because that gunfire will have attracted a lot of attention. So Raging ran from his spot and into the heart of the city. Raging had never seen the center of Canterlot deserted before but he didn’t have time to worry about that. He ran into an alley as some changelings ran past. He breathed a sigh of relief and went to check on Mezzo Forte. When he got to Mezzo Forte’s apartment it was wrecked there were bullet holes everywhere, windows were broken and he thought he could see smoke coming from the top windows. Raging heard some changeling patrol coming so he hid in Mezzo Fortes apartment. Just as the Patrol was passing the ceiling above Raging came down in a ball of fire and wood. That brought the attention of the patrol and they just turned their heads to see Raging run out of the burning apartment. They all stood there for a minute before falling to the ground. Raging had no idea what just happened until he noticed Mezzo Forte standing there with his gun still drawn.

“WAIT! It’s me Raging.” Raging said in a fast tone.

Mezzo Forte lowered the gun.

“Lets get out of here” Raging said to Mezzo Forte .

-Back in the Mines

“I am so sorry about the apartment Mezzo” Raging Bullet said sympathetically.

“It was not your fault, the changelings saw me in there and they threw Molotov’s through the upper floor windows. I was able to kill them and drag them in the house.” Mezzo Forte said.

“Did you get your picture?” Raging asked.

“Yea, I put it next to my sleeping bag.”

“Ok. Are you sure you still want to do this? I mean you have a Mare Friend, you could just leave right now and see her in Manehatten.” Raging asked.

“I want to finish this because if we do not stop them here then they will move on to the next city and take it over. Eventually they will make it to Manehatten and take it over.” Mezzo Forte said getting angry at the thought of the changelings taking over Manehatten.

“Okay I get it, you want to keep Crystal Chaos safe. I just wanted to be certain you were willing to go through with this after everything that has happened tonight.” Raging said.

“Let’s just get some sleep so we can plan an attack tomorrow.” Raging said and with that the he blew out the candle and they went to sleep.

-2 Days Later

“Okay so are you ready to do this?” Raging Bullet asked Mezzo Forte.

“Yea, we have a plan and I want to see it through.” Mezzo Forte said.

“Okay I’ll create the diversion. Then when the changelings come after me you sneak into the castle and plant the explosives in the armory. You remember where it is right?” Raging asked.

“Yea it is where the Battalion kept they’re weapons.” Mezzo Forte replied.

“Okay good we’re ready. Let’s head out.” Raging said.

At the entrance to the castle there were two changeling guards. Raging Bullet was in a building across the street he had his suppressed weapon ready on Mezzo Forte’s cue. Mezzo Forte came on the radio and said “Do it.” With that raging bullet picked up his M4 and shot both guards in the head. After that Raging Bullet took out a detonator and with the press of a button he could feel the vibrations from the explosion across town.

“Okay Mezzo you have about 5 Minutes”

“I am only going to need 3.” Mezzo Forte said and with that Mezzo Forte disappeared into the Canterlot castle.
4 minutes later Mezzo Forte came running out of the castle with the sound of gunfire behind him. When Raging heard the gunfire he picked up his M4 and threw down a burst of bullets to distract the guards. One of the bullets hit a guard in the stomach and the guard fell down on the ground, a pool of blood building up around him. The guards turned their fire from Mezzo Forte to Raging Bullet as bullets were hitting all around the window. Raging Bullet wasted no time leaving the building. Raging picked that building because he knew it had a secret sewer access hatch. So as Raging was walking through the sewers he started to worry whether or not Mezzo Forte made it out. But he was relieved when he got back to the cave and Mezzo Forte was there eating an FRE.

“The charges set?” Raging Bullet asked.

“I was lucky they didn’t see me set them but yea they’re set. So when are we going to blow it up?” Mezzo Forte asked.

“When they need their weapons most of all” Raging Bullet said.
