The princess of the light. My sister, Chrystalanias, is the eldest of Skyla and I. I, unfortunately, was born in the middle. Skyla is only 6 years old, and Chrissy is 17, and I'm almost 16. Our mother is Princess Mi Amore` Cadenza (Cadence), and our father is Shining Armor. I, personally, am more fond of Great Aunt Celestia. Chrystalanias is the gamer of us three, and Skyla is the troublemaker, but I can't say too much. I am, how I think, the normal one of us three. By family standards, I think I actually am the normal one! But, there is the troublemaker side, and that would be Shadow. You've never met her? You will eventually. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 "The Burnt Out Light" //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 "The Burnt Out Light"                                                                            Royalty Served Dark Today, is a day to celebrate! I had finally turned 16 years old! Meaning that soon Chrissy turns 18 and moves out! Mother and Father said I couldn't go out partying tonight, but I snuck out. I am probably more of the troublemaker than Skyla. I'm only 16 once, and going out partying with my friends is a rare occasion for me. But if Mother and Father come to crash the fun, I'll be the biggest loser at Crystal Clear High. I meet my friends at this amazing place practically made for mares like me and my friends. As I entered through the doors, all of the ponies there for the party cheered. "Nice! So your parents aren't as killjoy as I thought," Cloud Tuft, my best friend said. I shook my head and replied. "No, actually, I snuck out!" I said with a smirk. She looked at me, smirking, and offered me some apple cider. Of course I accepted the drink and drank definitely more than a shot of that fizzy stuff! It was definitely the party of my life. After some hard core partying, before we called it a night, we had a toast to me, parties, and being the teenagers we were meant to be. But just before we shouted "Cheers", guess who trotted in, crashing the party? Father, of course. "Princess Soleil!" He scolded. "You know that your mother and I said you can't party on a school night! You might be 16, but not old enough to make your own decisions, not yet. Now c'mon," He added. I was blushing of embarrassment and was thinking of ways to get me out of being grounded, again for going out partying. When we got back to the castle, Mother was sitting on the couch, ready for an intervention. I absolutely hated these talks. I get them once a year, because I do this every birthday, I've been doing this since I was 13. For 3 years, I've been more mischievous than Skyla. I was ticked, and had to make sure that Shadow didn't come out, and storm into my room for the third birthday in a row! "Soleil, this has gone on, for far too long. You've done nothing but sneak out every birthday since your 13th birthday! Mares your age shouldn't be going to late night parties, drinking the apple cider they serve because it is way more alcoholic than the Apples' apple cider! You could've gotten drunk, you could've died from drug abuse, or anything! Do you understand me, young mare?" Mother scolded. I rolled my eyes and muttered under my breath. "There were no drugs,". Mother glared at me as I glanced up at her. "That doesn't matter, you broke the rules, you know the punishment! You are grounded, 2 weeks, no television, no phone, no mall. Hoof it over," Mother said. Now that, that was just cruel. As I hoofed over my cell, I stormed up to my room, where my coat started to turn grey. "Now Shadow, don't do anything to harsh," I told myself. That was when I looked in the mirror, my mane was midnight black with the white streak, and my coat was grey, and the inside of wings was, still white. Shadow smirked and told the Soleil inside. "Oh please, after how Mother treated me?! We wouldn't want to be beyond grounded, now, would we?". I could feel the inside me shake her head. As I brushed my mane, I could only think about how I would have to tell Cloud Tuft and Sky Kiss that I couldn't join them at the mall this weekend. I could only hope that they'd understand, but they're hard core partyers like me, well, one side of me. The other side is pure trouble, she could turn a simple problem into a horror film! That pony, was the pony I was now, Shadow. The next morning, my coat was white again. and I expected Chrissy to come in without knocking like she does every morning. But she didn't, because Skyla was annoying the heck out of Chrissy. Thank Celestia I didn't have to deal crap with her this morning. But, I was sadly mistaken. As I was making my cereal, Chrissy was ticked at Skyla. And she was ranting on and on, then it got to the point where I had to slap her across her face, but I had to keep my cool. Just when she said. "I swear to God she's worse than you!". That was when I hit her. She was even more mad, and then, I was Shadow before I even realized it! We were about to hoof-fight, when Father came downstairs to break it up. "Soleil! You don't need anymore trouble, and NO HITTING YOUR SISTER!" He yelled. Chrissy pulled the raspberry on me just as he went back upstairs, and I mimicked her and did the same. I swear she is much worse than being grounded when she's ticked.
