Chapter 1
"Finally!"
That was the word he said. He said it out of pure exitement. He couldn't believe it was finally seven o'clock. The sunset had just begun in Equestria as her highness Celestia lowerd the sun, signifying the official end of the day. The sun then was lowered completely, making room for Luna to raise her moon and start the beautiful night that was to come. The night when the exited stallion would finally be able go on a camping trip to the dangerous Everfree forest.
But he wouldn't be going alone. No. He was going with his best friend. The one and only 20% cooler mare. The only mare that could perform a record-breaking move in the sky. A move that she called a "Sonic Rainboom."
She was Rainbow Dash.
They would be going to the Everfree forest that night. Just the two of them. The stallion just couldn't wait any more. He had been waiting for almost two weeks now!
He took one last glance at his home, making sure that he had everything for the trip. Him and his friend were planning on spending two nights in the woods.
Once he was sure he had everything, he took off.
He hovered only about four feet off the ground at a steady pace, being sure not to spill what he had in his saddle bag as he flew towards Rainbow's house.
Despite the time, there were still a great number of ponies outside, going about their nightly business. The stallion waved at a couple of ponies he knew.
"Good evening, Carrot Top!" he shouted towards the mare who was watering her beautiful vegetable garden.
"Hey, Derpy!" he said to a grey mare with a long blonde mane and tail who was delivering late night mail.
"Hi spi...," he started to say to a small purple dragon hanging out with a bunch of teenage colts when he noticed something in the dragon's claw.
"SPIKE?!" he yelled in disbelief.
The little dragon frantically tried to find a place to hide the object in his hands.
Spike and the three other teenagers were semi-hidden in an ally way when the stallion flew by.
The stallion approached the group of teenagers with a look of anger and disbelief on his face. He quickly snatched the object away from the young dragon's hands.
No pony spoke. The stallion just looked at the object with a face contorted with disgust. He then turned his head towards Spike.
"Do you know...," he starded between heavy breaths of anger, "...what Twilight would do if she caught you with this?"
Spike didn't speak. He didn't want to know what horrible consequences he would recieve from Twilight if she ever found out about this.
The without thinking, the stallion tossed the blunt into his saddlebag, with no intention besides hiding it from plain sight, and turned his head to the young colts.
"Get out of here." he uttered.
Without hesitation, the three colts did just that as they scurried home as fast as their legs would allow them. The stallion then turned to Spike, who reeked of the poisonous plant.
"If I ever find you doing this ever again," he said, "Twilight will definitely here about it. Now go home."
The little dragon obeyed and began running towards the
library.
The stallion hated what he just did, considering he used to smoke when he was a teenager. But he had to be a responsible adult and put an end to it.
Besides, it was for their own good.
But nothing could ruin this night. A large grin spread across his face as he remembered what he came outside for in the first place.
He then took off towards Cloudsdale with great speed.
"Next stop, Rainbow's house." he said excitedly.
