Time Turners Ep1: Beamed Up Part 1
Time Turners Ep1: Beamed Up Part 1
The Ever Free Forest was quiet. The only thing that could be heard was the crickets and light bugs that lit the night. The wind howled peacefully through the woods and trees. It was calming and tranquil, an odd turn for the Ever Free. In the darkness there was a presence. It was a pony, a stallion to be more exact, walking through the forest. He listened to the wind and bugs and all of the other creatures hidden in the shadows. he walked at a steady pace, not slowing town or stopping for sounds he didn't recognize. Ha had to much joy in his heart.
" The moment is finally here." he said to himself.
He made his way out into a meadow. The blue moonlight shined down revealing what he looked like. He was a light blue unicorn with dark green eyes. His mane and tail were both a foggy white. He stepped out into the opening and let the cool breeze of the night ruffle his mane. His cutie mark, a single star, shone in the moon light. He closed his eyes and took a sniff, then he opened them. Out on the meadow, sitting in the night, he saw a mare. Her pink mane flew in the breeze. She was a white alicorn as beautiful as the sun.
The stallion took a moment to watch her. He felt his heart skip a beat as her crown twinkle. He took a step forward and approached her from behind. When he was close enough he bent down and whispered into her ear.
" You are more beautiful than the last time we met, your majesty." The stallion said. The mare turned around and smiled.
" Hello, Shining Star." She said smiling. Shining Star sat down next to the mare he loved.
" Hello Celestia." Shining Star said kissing her. She kissed him back and they both smiled, laying back to watch the night sky.
" Luna did well tonight, did you tell her we were meeting?" Shining Star asked as he rolled to face Celestia. Celestia rolled over and smiled, as to say yes. Shining Star smiled and hugged her. Celestia or Shining Star did not let go for a long time. They embraced under a shining beautiful night sky.
" Oh Shining Star, I hope this night never ends." Celestia said peering into his eyes. Shining Star smiled back.
" I wish it would not end either, my princess." Shining Star said giving her a peck on the cheek. They embraced in another long hug. Celestia then whispered into his ear.
" Maybe it doesn't have to." Shining Star let go of her looking at hr puzzled.
" What do you mean?" Shining Star asked. Celestia smiled and ran to the edge of the meadow. Shining Star ran over to her.
" What is it?" He asked. Celestia put her hoof out and Shining Star took it. Celestia shot up into the air, taking Shining Star up with her. They flew up over the vast dark green forest. The view was amazing! They could see canter lot and Ponyville and far beyond!
" Wow!" Shining Star exclaimed. Celestia smiled.
" Do you see how far this land stretches?" Celestia asked.
" It is more than magnificent!" Shining Star said looking at her. Celestia pointed out towards a few mountains.
" We could disappear darling." Celestia said. Shining Star gave her another confused look.
" What do you mean?" Shining Star was confused. He didn't know what Celestia could be thinking, why would she want them to disappear?
" Shining Star, we've been caught…" Celestia said looking down. Shining Star's eyes went wide.
" You mean… some pony knows!" Shining Star exclaimed. Celestia took him back down to the ground.
" Yes, someone saw me coming back late, one of the guards." Celestia said.
" So, this is why you wanted to see me, to tell me this?" He asked. Celestia nodded and looked at the ground again. She then looked back up at Shining Star.
" We need to leave honey, you know what would happen if we were seen together. A peasant and royalty can't be together, it's not socially right." Celestia said worried. Shining Star couldn't believe what Celestia was proposing. he couldn't just run away. he had a family, a life, and a job! he couldn't leave behind his life, neither could Celestia.
" Celestia, they need you here!" Shining Star said. Celestia looked at the ground again.
" They need your leadership here, and I can't leave, I have a life and a family and…" Shining Star was cut off when Celestia held her hoof up.
" No…no I understand…it was a foolish thought." Celestia said sadly. Shining Star knew he had said something wrong, he didn't want to offend Celestia.
" Celestia, I didn't mean it… That wasn't what I meant to…" Shining Star stopped talking when Celestia began to walk away. She walked back into the woods and back to Canterlot. Shining Star was left in the field. He starred into the forest for almost an hour, he couldn't believe what had just happened. He couldn't believe he had just lost the mare he loved, the one he had devoted his life to.
he finally realized she was gone. She would not come back, but he would be forced to see her, see her alone and hurt. Shining Star began to walk towards the woods, he was planning on going home, but then he looked to the sky. There was a Shining Star directly above him. He starred at it, and noticed it was growing brighter. It began to become bigger as it grew brighter and then he heard a steady humming sound with it. It lit of the sky and seemed as large as the sun now!
" What is this?" Shining Star asked himself. There humming sound grew into a steady roar! The light began to come lower near Shining Star, he could feel the heat of it! Then a beam exploded down to earth! It landed around Shining Star, surrounding him in shower of light!
" What the, how!?" He asked as he felt his hooves leaving the ground. Then there was a loud boom and a loud shout from Shining Star. The beam disappeared and so did Star! The light slowly faded and the night was left dark and peaceful again.
1,004 Years Later
The night was cool and calm over Ponyville. The stars twinkled about the small houses of the sleeping residence. They were tucked away peacefully in their beds, and all of their candles had been blown out hours ago. The windows of the buildings were dark, except for one. The town library, a giant tree in town, had one of its top windows lit. The mare inside, Twilight Sparkle, was a purple alicorn who had just recently eared her potation as a princess. She was up late as usual. She had three candles around her and she had the morning paper on the table. She poured over the paper, reading everything she could. She wasn't reading for pleasure, though she normally did, she was looking for something this time.
She found what she wanted on the last page, just as her purple eyes were getting tired. She brushed her dark blue mane, with a purple stripe in it, away from her face. A light purple cloud of magic appeared around the news paper and twilights horn. The paper floated closer to Twilight so she could read it.
" More disappearances, another unicorn." She said as she read. She turned to page over to see the details.
" A bright flash of light, unicorn… just like the other ones." Twilight said. She floated the article over to a wall. There were fifty other articles about disappearances on the wall. She pinned the new article to it and threw the news paper away.
" This is extremely odd." Twilight said as she walked over to the wall of articles. She looked at all of them.
" This have to be linked, there's always a bright light, and why are only unicorns disappearing?" Twilight said looking at the new article closely. As she looked at the papers some pony was coming up behind her.
Twilight remained focussed on the paper in front of her. The presence behind her got closer and closer. Twilight still looked at the paper, but she thought she heard breathing. Then she felt something touch her shoulder.
" AHHHHH!" Twilight screamed, then she looked down at the floor. There was a purple dragon with green spikes standing there. His eyes were purple and full of crust. he didn't look very happy with Twilight, he actually looked annoyed.
" Spike, don't sneak up on me like that!" Twilight said angered. Spike just crossed his arms.
" Twilight keep it down, I'm TRYING to sleep!" Spike said steaming. Twilight looked down at him confused.
" How did I wake you up?" Twilight asked.
" Well, it's hard to sleep when you're rambling to yourself and galloping all over the place." Spike said. Twilight blushed a little.
" I don't ramble! I also know that I wasn't galloping, I was calmly walking." Twilight corrected Spike.
" I don't care what you're doing, keep it down!" Spike demanded stomping back up stairs. He was half way to the second floor when he turned around.
" You know, I'd think you would be concerned about your sleep, especially with the Summer Sun Celebration tomorrow!" Spike said. Twilight went as stiff as a board.
" What's tomorrow!" She screamed turning around. Spike slapped his face.
" I shouldn't have told you that, now you're gonna…" Spike was interrupted by Twilight screaming and running in circles.
" …freak out." Spike finished as Twilight began to hyperventilate.
" I can't believe I forgot about that! I haven't even practiced yet!" Twilight said dashing away from her wall of papers. She blew out her candle and put away all of her things. She then galloped to the door and opened it.
" I'm going out for a while Spike!" She yelled to the dragon. The dragon just waved her off and drowsily walked back up stairs to sleep.
When Twilight stepped outside she found that the night was warm and comforting. She had no time to take in the wonderful weather though. She galloped through town trying to get the train station. She galloped up onto the platform and to the ticket window.
" Hello?" She asked to the window. There was no pony there, they had gone home to sleep.
" Great, they're all steeping, how am I going to get to Canterlot now?" Twilight thought to herself. She looked around for the train, and then she looked on her back. She saw her wings and moved them around a little bit.
" Oh yah, right." She said blushing. She had mastered flying pretty well, but she had a problem remembering she had wings. She jumped up into the air and took off towards Canterlot.
Canterlot Castle
The castle was quiet. The officials and unicorns had all turned in for the night. The only ones left walking the magnificent halls were ponies on guard. They made the sound of clopping that echoed through the castle and through the room quarters of the building.
One of these rooms was open just a sliver. Inside there was a master bed, a fireplace, and a rug on the floor. Over by a wooden desk there was a white alicorn mare. The window was open and her large elegant mane swung steadily in the breeze. She was holding a picture in her hoof. She just starred at it, like the picture would pop to life if she did not turn away. A small tear dripped from her eye, she quickly took care of it before it dripped onto her desk.
As Celestia starred at the picture, there was a nock from the door. Celestia knew who it was.
" Come in Luna." Celestia said not putting town the picture. Luna walked through the door. She gazed down at her sister. She could tell this was not a good moment for Celestia, she thought she should leave. She began to walk out.
" It's ok sister, you may stay, I would appreciate your company." Celestia said smiling at Luna. Luna smiled back and sat down next to her sister.
She looked at the picture and saw a smiling light blue unicorn with a foggy white mane. Luna looked back at Celestial's face, there was a lot of water in her eyes.
" You miss him sister." Luna said putting a wing around Celestia.
" Yes, sister, I miss him with all of my heart." Celestia said holding the picture close to her. Luna looked at the picture as well.
Celestia got hop from her chair and walked out to the balcony of her room. Luna stood up as well. Celestia rested herself on the railing and looked out across the land of Equestria.
" You know sister, I asked him to leave once." celestia said looking across the land. Luna took notice at her sisters comment.
" I said that we could disappear, we could live out the rest of our lives…" celestia stopped when she realized what she said. Luna waked up next to her sister. She once again put an arm around her sister.
" Celestia, you knew it couldn't last forever, we're immortal." Luna said softly. Celestia nodded and leaned onto the railing.
Luna decided to leave and let Celestia have the room to herself. Celestia waited till her sister as once again inside, then she cried. She cried hard, the tears ran down her face as she tried to muffle her cries into her hoof. Luna knew that Celestia was crying, but she did not view her any differently. She knew Celestia always did this, the night before the Summer Sun Celebration.
Celestia began to take control of herself again, and she looked up into the sky. There was a single Shining Star in the sky. Celestia smiled up at it. However, the star began to shine brighter. Celestia backed up a little bit. The star grew brighter and brighter and she heard a steady humming noise. She turned around and looked at Luna.
Luna began to approach her sixte, but there was a flash of light and a loud bang! Luna was thrown across the room to the floor. She looked back up and her sister was incased in a beam of light! She was floating off the ground, and her eyes were am pure white!
" Sister!" Luan called to Celestia. Celestia didn't answer, she began to slowly rise. Luna charged her horn and fiord a beam of blue light at the beam. It hit the beam and was deflected back at Luna! Luna was hit dead in the side with the beam and she collapsed onto the floor. She began to feel weak and her vision became blurry.
" S…sister." Luna tried to call to Celestia. There was another boom and another blinding light, Luna's sister was gone from sight. Luna put her hoof out as if Celestia would grab it. Then she passed out and layer on the floor.
Twilight was outside of the door of the castle. She was nocking on it frantically. She had just seen a large beam of light strike the castle in front of her!
" Is any pony there! Open the door what happened?" Twilight shouted into the castle. She couldn't hear what was going on inside because the doors were so thick.
" Well, I guess there's only one thing to do." Twilight said. She charged her horn and a cloud of magic appeared around the lock. She jerked her head up and the lock flew right off. The door swung open and Twilight walked inside.
There were guards running back and forth. They were opening doors, and completely destroying rooms. at the top of the stairs in the mane hall there was Luna overseeing the entire operation. She was screaming and shouting commands.
" Search every room, turn over ever rock in Equestria if you have to!" Luna shouted through the halls. Twilight ran up the stairs to meat the princess.
" Luna, what's happening?" Twilight asked looking around. Luan looked down at Twilight, she knew she couldn't tell her about the light and Celestia.
" Um, nothing Twilight, just go home." Luna said. Twilight did not move.
" Luna, I can handle the news, just tell me." Twilight pleaded. Luna looked around and then at Twilight. She knew she couldn't hide the news from her very long.
" Twilight, it's Celestia… she's…she's gone." Luna said. Twilight couldn't believe her ears.
" What!" She exclaimed. Luna put a hoof over the young princess's shoulder.
" Twilight we will find her, I promise." Luna said trying to comfort Twilight. Suddenly, there was a crashing sound and a boom from outside! Luna ran over to the window and Twilight followed her.
Outside in the night sky there was a flaming object coming down. It was a bright red ball with a streak of yellow and orange flames behind it!
" What is it?" Twilight asked watching it crash into the forest near by.
" I do not know Twilight, but we should find out." LUna said rushing to the castle door. Twilight galloped after her and out of the castle. She was worried and excited at the same time. She wanted to know what this thing was, but she was also worried about Celestia.
The Ever Free Forest
There was a large long ditch in the ground cutting through the trees. It lead deep into the forest and it was littered with small burning pieces of log and wood. There was also a plume of smoke surrounding the large crater at the end of the ditch. The ground around it sizzled and trees collapsed. The smoke did not clear, however there were two shadows in the smoke. they moved, brushing themselves off and looking around. They seamed pony in nature. Then a british voice was heard.
" Well, that was fun." the voice said cheerfully. There were a few coughs between the two shadows.
" Fun, fun?" A more american sounding voice said. There was more coughing.
" Well, yes, it was like a roller coaster, you enjoy those right?" The british voice said. The american voice didn't answer. The two shadows began to walk out of the smoke and into the clear air. They were both stallions. One was a grey black with a solid black mane and tail. He had sky blue eyes and he wore a bight green tie.
The other stallion was a bright orange with a blonde mane. His eyes were also sky blue, but he seemed to have less of a combed mane and he wore googles on his forehead. Both stallions brushed a thin layer dust and soot off of them.
" I should have kept these goggles on." The orange stallion said rubbing his eyes.
" Why didn't you then Scooter, were did you find them any ways?" The grey pony asked.
" They were laying around in the Tardis, somewhere near that pool room, that's as far as I've explored." Scooter said casually.
" Oh, you've got to see the next few rooms, they're amazing." The grey stallion said. Scooter just gave him a nod and looked around. He noticed that they were in the Ever Free Forest, he didn't know if the Doctor would know that.
" So, where exactly are we assistant?" The Doctor asked looking around.
" Ok, I'm not answering that question." Scooter said annoyed. The Doctor gave him a weird look.
" Why's that?" He asked. Scooter turned around and glared at him.
" We've talked about this, I'm your partner, not assistant." Scooter said crossing his front legs and sitting. the Doctor rolled his eyes.
" Dear god, not this again." He said. He turned away from Scooter and looked around for himself, he knew he didn't know where they were. He was going to have to ask Scooter.
" Ok fine, where are we PARTNER?" The Doctor said annoyed. Scooter got back up and smiled.
" That's more like it Doc." Scooter looked around at the trees and plants.
" Creepy trees, unnatural fog, unusually cold air…" Scooter sniffed in the air.
" Well, I think it's safe to say we're in the Ever Free Forest." Scooter said letting out his breath.
" The Ever Free! We followed that ship that far from Trottingham!" The Doctor exclaimed. He put his front leg over his head in amazement. He was actually a little impressed with himself.
" Well, doc, we would have followed it longer if you had better flying skills!" Scooter said frustrated.
" Hey, we were shot down, I didn't crash!" The Doctor yelled at Scooter. The two of them glared at each other. They were both extremely annoyed and a little frustrated with each other. They had just crashed into the deepest and darkest forest of Equestria! Little did they know though, there were two alicrons watching their argument from behind the trees.
" They're crazy." Twilight said looking at them. Luna agreed with her, however she did not say it.
The two princesses walked out from behind the trees and approached the stallion, who were now screaming at each other.
" Silence!" Luna screamed in her booming voice. The two stallions stopped arguing and turned. The Doctor had a confused look on his face, but Scooter gasped in astonishment. he quickly bent to the ground. He realized the Doctor wasn't doing so and he pulled him down by the tie.
Princess Luna and Twilight looked at each other and back at the stallions.
" Um.. rise." Twilight said uncomfortably. Both of the Stallions rose.
" Now who are these ponies!" The doctor exclaimed. Scooter quickly put his hoof over his mouth.
" Don't mind him your majesties!" Scooter said quickly. The princesses looked at each other again, even more confused.
" Well, if you two are done…" Twilight said uncertainly.
" We are looking for something that crashed into the forest!" Luna said seriously.
" You wouldn't happen to know what we are talking about, would you?" Luna asked eyeing them. The Doctor and Scooter looked at each other an then back at Luna.
" Us, crashing into the forest! No." The Doctor said trying to hide his sweat. Twilight and Luna then looked at Scooter.
" You wouldn't mind telling us what you're doing out here then, would you?" Luna said glaring at Scooter.
" Um well…" Scooter began, but then the Doctor cut him off.
" We were just researching… right Scooter." The Doctor said. Scooter looked at the Doctor and then at the princesses.
" Um, yah… researching… the trees." Scooter said with a fake smile.
Luna and Twilight gave them an odd look and they walked off.
" Um, well it was nice to meet you." Twilight said as they walked deeper into the woods. The Doctor and Scooter just waved stiffly until the mares were out of site.
" Hey Doc." Scooter said through a fake smile.
" Yah?" The Doctor answered through his.
" Why did you make me lie to royalty?" Scoter asked. The Doctor just smiled and put his hoof on his shoulder.
" Precautions." The Doctor said.
" It's best to keep secret in this line of work." He said walking over to the Tardis, which had crashed behind a few trees. Scooter followed him, he knew they would have to hide the crash site.
Deeper into the Ever Free forest, Twilight and Luna where walking along. They were still looking for that thing that had crashed down into the forest.
" Do you believe them Twilight?" Luna asked the young princess. Twilight looked up at Celestia.
" I do, sort of." Twilight said scanning the forest around them. Luna did the same, she had a feeling that something was near by.
" Twilight, stay hear." Luna said as she took to the skies.
" Wait Luna, were are you going!" twilight shouted up at the princess.
" I'm going to search from above." Luna said flying off.
Twilight was left alone in the Ever Free. She remembered who that didn't go to well the last time it happened. She remembered how she had almost died multiple times, but she also knew she was fine. Luna wouldn't leave her that far away from her. She was also thinking about going back to those two stallions. She wanted to question them more, but her thoughts were cut short. There was a bright light illuminating from deeper in the forest, and there was a loud boom that followed!
" Oh No!" Twilight yelled as she galloped in the direction of the light. She hoped and prayed that Luna was ok, but she had a bad felling she was wrong!
" Luna! Princess Luna!" Twilight yelled as she walked into a clearing. She shielded her eyes from the white light blinding her. When she adjusted to the light she gasped in amazement.
"Luna!" Twilight yelled. Luna was floating in a beam of white light, just like Celestia had she she had been taken! Twilight picked up on this.
" Not you too, NO!" Twilight yelled. She charged up her horn and aimed.
" Let her go!" She yelled as she fired her magic. Just like before her magic was caught in the beam and shot back at her!
It hit her in the side as she toppled over! She knew she had fired a stun spell. She felt herself becoming weak and her vision began to fade.
" Help.." She said weakly before her eyes began to close. She saw Luna disappear as well as the light. She heard the sound of galloping and before her vision faded completely she saw to familiar stallions running out from the trees.
