Chapter One: The Prodigy
This is the story of how my life was changed forever, and nearly fell apart in the process.
Hello, dear reader, my name is Joshua, and I’m a very special trainer. I've gone around through the regions, and have collected around 500 Pokémon, which isn't saying much, seeing as new ones seem to be discovered every few years. As of now, the current total of Pokémon is 721, but who knows when the next region will discover some more? But, that's enough on that. I'm an aspiring trainer, and am following in the footsteps of Red. I even have compiled a few teams that I believe I could beat him with, but there's one problem. My Pokémon may have gone through 6 Elite fours, and six champions, but I'm not all that confident, which is why I haven't gone and fought him yet. I may be a prodigy, but I'm not a confident prodigy.
But, enough back story for now. This was the day my life changed for good. I was out on Mt. Silver Training, thinking that maybe this time I'd get up the courage to take on Red. The Team I'd brought with me was consisted of: Maxdextry my Delphox, Samba! my Ludicolo, Lady Bane my Mawile, Chompz my Garchomp, Kairakera my Kangaskhan, and Zane my Eelektross. As I traversed the mountain, I came close to the top, and lo and behold, there he was, the silent hero Red.  But, when I drew close, a rumbling sound emanated from in front of me, and a vortex opened underneath me, and I fell in.
Luckily for me, a tree broke my fall. At the looks of it, it was a very large one. And then I heard a scream come from the direcion of the tree. I looked, and to my surprise, a window was there, and a... purple Ponyta? I was curios, so I drew closer. It then spoke in a feminine voice, and said: stay where you are!"
The shock of it speaking threw me off balance and I fell, yelling. I landed on my back, and said: "Ouch, that hurts!" I got up, and started to move away from the tree when the purple Ponyta that could speak caught up to me, and said: "What were you doing in the branches of my tree?"
I then said: "Terribly sorry, miss. I guess that I just... fell atop them. Not sure how though, seeing as I'm pretty sure I was solidly standing on Mt. Silver a while ago."
She then said: "Wait, Mt. Silver? Where is that?"
I then said: "Well, it's between the Kanto and Johto regions in Japan, and-"
She interrupted me, and said: "Japan? What's that?"
I then did a face-palm, and said: "Of course she wouldn't know about Japan. Just my luck. I run across a purple being that looks like a Ponyta, and she doesn't know what Japan is. Great. Just great."
She then said: "I'm a pony unicorn, mister. My name is Twilight Sparkle. What's yours?"
I then said: "My name is Joshua Castle, and I'm a human."
She then said: "You certainly look like the humans in the books, that's for sure."
I then said: "So, Miss Sparkle, just where am I?"
She then said: "Ponyville, Equestria, on the Planet Equus. Why?"
I then said: "Sweet mother of pearl! I'm on another planet? Well, that certainly explains a lot. Well, as long as I'm here, I'll try to get along with the locals. But, let me guess: They're all ponies, and they probably haven't seen a human before. Am I right?"
Twilight then said: "Yes, you're right."
I then said: "Well, this is quite the predicament, but, as always, I have a winning strategy." I then smiled, and said: "I'd go about as far to call it 'genius'."
Twilight then said: "What are you going to do?"
I only smiled, and said: "You'll see."
