Love You Enough

    Rainbow Dash sat gazing at the stars with Soarin sitting next to her."Can I ask you something, Dash?"

Soarin's eyes met Rainbow Dash."Soarin, you know we can ask me anything." Rainbow Dash

awnsred. He turned his head to look at a constellation that looked like a heart. ''We've been dating for

around a year now. and well... I realy like you. Will you...m-mary me." Soarin turned back, to face Rainbow Dash

" Soarin, you know how long I've been wanting you to ask me that. Of course I'll mary you." Dash turned

and kissed Soarin on the lips. Soarin closed his eyes and enjoyed the kiss.

   After a while they flew down to the white cloud mansion. Rainbow opened the door and was surprised to see

that it was unlocked. She peeked through the door, "What the hey, what are you guys doing here!"Sitting

on the couch was Thunderlane, a dark blue stallion, and a young filly that Had the same mane color and style

as her. "I'm not sure you remember us, but both of us are your family Rainbow dash. I'm your dad and this is

your little sis, Skyla.'' The dark colored stallion spoke softly, she could tell he was nervous. she didn't awnser,

but instead collapsed and broke into tears. Soarin fell down beside her and wrapped his wing around her.

   "who are you?"The dark colored pony pointed his hoof at soarin

   Soarin awnsered,"I'm Soarin, Rainbow"s boyfriend.''

   "Actually thats what I'm here to talk to her about, You see, she's supposed to be engaged to Thunderlane.''

   "What?" Soarin tightened his wing around Rainbow.

   Rainbow tried to stop crying and lifted her head. "You left me, and know your forcing me to get married to

Thunderlane."

   "I'm sorry, Dash. I guess when I left I didn't really think you'd care. I guess I wasn't really thinking about you at all.

I guess I was just trying to run from my problems. The truth is I didn't know how to raise a filly by my self."

  She had always known why he'd abandoned her.he wanted to run away instead of face his fears. After her mom had

died in the weather factory accident, he was to scared to face his problem.

  "Ok, but how did you end up raising her?'' She pointed her hoof at Skyla.

  He tried to explain that she had a knew step mom, and how she couldn't make the long trip to Cloudsdale.

They had travled from a distant country. She didn't mention about the proposal, Instead she just let Soarin keep his

wing around her. She did tear up a few times, thinking about how she had just gotten engaged to the pony she

really loved, and know she was engaged to a pony she had always yelled at and never took the time

to know.

    "Listen Thunderlane, I'm sorry for all the times I yelled at you. I never had any really good

reason.'' She sat up and turned to Thunderlane.

    Soarin started to tear up.

    Thunderlane glanced at he and turned to face Soarin. "Ohh, I guess I never noticed. I actually

kind of admired your assertiveness.''

    She smiled. She was relived that he didn't think of her as a jerk.

    Soarin thought to him self, and started to cry.

    Rainbow laid back down, she knew in her mind that it was time to tell them about the proposal. "Dad, I guess

I need to confess something....Soarin proposed to me ....just an hour ago."

   Skyla and her dad sat there and stared at the young couple, while Thunderlane smiled and also stared at

them almost like he didn't wan't to get maried.

   "I't was your moms wish that if something happened to her that you would get married to the stallion

of her choice. And Thunderlane was her choice."

   "Look, Thunderlane is a nice guy, but I love Soarin."

   "Rainbow dash, your getting married to Thunderlane and thats final!" With that him and Skyla flew off.

   Thunderlane walked over to Dash and lifted her head with his wing."I just have to tell you that

I've always loved you, and I wan't whats best for you."He smiled and kissed her on the head and then

flew off.

   Soarin still kept his wing around her."Just to let you know I also love you, and also want you to

be happy. I'll always be here for you.

   The next day, Soarin was out working with the young cadets. Spitfire approached, Soarin, with a

rather sad face."Soarin, I would like to see you in my office.''

   soarin entered the office with a worried look on his face.''permission to enter mam.''

   Every pony was supposed to enter with the same address, no matter if cadet or wonder bolt.

   ''Hey Soar, how was your date? Did you ask her yet?''

   ''Yeah, but her dad wants her to marry a different stallion.''

    ''her dad but, I thought her dad left her when she was a filly.''

    ''Thats what I thought so too.''

    There was silence for a couple of minutes. Until Spitfire burst into tears. "I'm sorry Soarin."She handed

him the letter that she had gotten from Twilight that morning. Soarin let the letter slip to the ground, and

took off flying.
