//-------------------------------------------------------// Luna's Night -by Aquah3art- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The Moon //-------------------------------------------------------// The Moon Princess Luna stood alone, on top of the glowing moon, watching the earth spin slowly far away from her. She pushed her hair to the side then started to cry, "Why can't I be like any other pony?" she asked herself quietly. "Every time I get angry or jealous.... I... I" she spoke louder as her eyes started to turn into slits, "I mess everything up!" she growled as her teeth turned to fangs and her body turning into the nightmare it was. She violently jabbed her hoof into the hard ground making it crack into pieces. "I will not stand for this" she laughed insanely to herself. As soon as she clamed down, Luna picked up a moon rock and threw it, "I'm going to be here for eternity" she said wiping a tear away from her eye. Just then, bravery soared through her veins, "No! I will not wait, I will take me place as Princess of the night!" she yelled out in the sky of darkness. "I WILL kill Tia if that's what it takes!" she stopped as the words trickled out of her mouth. Luna's horn lit up as she flew up into the barren sky and as soon as she was high enough, Luna tucked her wings in and shot like a bullet down to the earths surface. When she could make out the smallest of details on the trees, she released her wings to use as a parachute but she was going so fast that when she tried to slow down her wings could not push through the wind that blew at her. She immediately shut her eyes tight, preparing for a crash landing but when she felt as if she was upside down and not moving, she flicked open her one eye and saw that, without notice, she had caught herself with her own magic three seconds before crash landing. After she let out a long breath, Luna flipped herself over and touched her hooves to the ground. Then it happened, pain shot through her wings the moment she touched the ground. Her wings felt as if at any moment they would fall of so she just let them hang beside her for a while. She then took one, small step and looked around at where she was. It was a beautiful sight to see, grass swaying in the open sun, a waterfall that landed in a blue lake, surrounded by miles and miles of trees. Miles and miles of trees! Luna thought, on her way down to the earth, she hadn't seen any sign of life at all. Luna began to panic, franticly she tried to flap her wings to see if any town was near her but her wings were broken and she could hardly move them. Turning her head to the left she spotted a large pile of boulders and she trotted over, looking for a way to get onto the massive rocks. She then found a small rubble of pebbles coming down form the rocks and assuming that she could go up them, she took a couple of steps up the pebbles and managed to get onto a rock high enough for her to see over the trees. It felt as if it was her most unluckiest day ever when she could see nothing but mist. Her breathing then began to become unsteady as she made her way down the boulders, almost slipping off one when she stepped into a hole in the rock. Luna started to feel lightheaded as she took her last step off the pebbles. Ok, calm down Luna She began thinking to herself So where are you? she asked herself In the middle of nowhere! her heart skipped a beat just thinking about it. She let out a long, relaxing breath Calm down, remember what Tia told you about holding it in. The name made her feel sick inside, "This is all Tia's fault!" she screamed, making a group of birds shoot out of the tree as if they were arrows about to cut her into pieces. Luna held her head while gritting her teeth, " 'No yelling, Luna!' " she imitated her sisters words quietly. After letting out a yawn, she looked up at the sun beginning to set. When it started getting dark, Luna looked for a place to stay for the night but she couldn't find anywhere safe enough so she laid down next to a tall oak tree. Unexpectedly tear started dripping form her eyes and onto her cheeks, "Why can't any pony like me?" she blared the words out of her mouth.
